I have heard nothing but rave reviews about Soup For You from a number of my friends who had graduated from UMF. Now that I work in Farmington, Soup For You is always a place that I would love to grab lunch if I had enough time. The food is 100% worth the wait, as it’s super fresh; however, if you’re in a time crunch, definitely look in to ordering ahead for take out. I waited roughly 20 minutes for a soup(White bean chili) and sandwich(Barnyard).

Cute place. Very crowded at lunch. Be prepared to wait awhile for your sandwich. Cans of soda for $ 1.39 seems a little high. I ordered the tomato bisque and a beaver wrap(corned beef, cream cheese on a wheat wrap). My husband ordered chicken salad and bbq 3 bean chili. The soup was delicious! My husband loved the chili. The food was great but I lowered the stars for the wait and soda price. I would say 4 stars for the food and 2 for the service. But if u go at off peak times it would be 4 stars.

Soup for you is amazing! Delicious homemade soups, a huge variety of sandwiches and fruit smoothies. Very reasonably priced and good for you too. One of my favorite spots in town!

Tasty food, kindly service. We enjoyed the mushroom soup, the smoked turkey sandwich, a pumpkin whoopie pie, an orangina, and a reuben and chili. All excellent. Nice atmosphere and a good location in the downtown area of Farmington, Maine. This is a university town, which is most always a good thing.

Took my son in here for lunch today and had the BBQ chicken chili. It was great! Awesome sandwich selections. I always stop in whenever I’m up this way.

5 stars for vegan options! Great selection of sandwiches, most of the names inspired by Seinfeld(as others have pointed out). Didn’t try the soups, by they looked delicious. Also, they had free wifi, didn’t expect that!

The strength of this joint is its selection. The menu of sandwiches and soups is exhaustive, and you’d be hard-pressed to go in at any time and not find exactly what you are in the mood for. As other reviewers have said, the menu includes many options for those with specific dietary needs and restrictions, without just settling for a salad for those gluten free and vegan customers. I had a Chicken and Lentil soup, which I found to be pretty heavy-handed with the pepper, but still a solid dish My dining companions both loved their meals, and we were satisfied well until supper. I’d definitely return if I was a local for a nice, solid lunch. Worth a visit.

Good food, best lunch in town! Not only soups, great sandwiches. Can take a long time to get just a bowl of soup. They don’t take plastic. Check out the new englander and rotating soup specials.

So cozy and small but man! GREAT food! The soups change daily(except for their chicken BBQ chili) and their sandwiches are delicious. Tons of variety for sandwiches and smoothies. It’s, in my eyes, the perfect soup and sandwich place.

With a user friendly menu board clearly indicating soup ingredients and tasty wraps/sandwhiches omnivorous soupers to vegan gluten free soupers can all come together at Soup for You and enjoy a hot bowl of soup and sandwich in harmony. I find myself many a long New England winter night longing for the Chicken Barley, a soup for your soul during sickness or just because. All soups come with choice of a hearty bread or crackers. Sandwiches have something near thirty options and if that doesn’t please you — make your own! Also, excellent tuna wrap(if you’ve seen my other reviews — you will notice a slight tuna obsession). They also have coffee/latte/espresso selections and carry juices and waters for your purchasing. If you are looking for a cost effective, healthy and extremely satisfying lunch — pop in here and make friends with the lovely people at Soup for You. They still know me by name though I’ve been out of college for four years now.

I cannot believe I never reviewed this place! The menu is cool, typical of what you might expect for a hip college town — except it’s NOT in a hip college town, it’s in FARMINGTON, MAINE! Lots of the menu items have names that are inspired by Seinfeld. They do a great, no scratch that, a FANTASTIC job of indicating vegetarian, vegan, etc. The sandwiches are hugely inventive and I always forget how HUGE the servings are! I always want soup as well as a sandwich, but when I get them, I realize there is NOWAY I can possibly finish both in one sitting. I have not always loved what I have gotten there, but I can tell you that everything is fresh and flavorful and made to order. It’s also a great deal! So, if you find yourself in farming, Maine, I highly recommend checking this place out — I don’t think you will be disappointed! The one thing I would have loved to see different was the addition of some vegan dessert options.

Yummy delicious soup and great sandwiches. Bonus only place in town to get a soy chai. I got a Cajun tuna sandwich usually don’t get tuna at restaurants because of heavy mayo this was great not alot of mayo and a little spice. Great small town hole in the wall place to get lunch limited seats avoid the rush go around 1−2pm highly recomend. Cash only

Great names for the sandwiches at this Farmington joint. if you have any appreciation for Seinfeld, this place is for you. They offer 6 soups at a time usually rotating flavors with a couple delicious fixtures always on the menu. I had a chick pea and apricot soup for lunch on my last visit. It was quite a satisfying experience for my taste buds. Vegan and non vegan options are equally available for both the soups and the sandwiches. Thirty-five sandwich selections or make your own! Try the«Don Quixote» if your a corned beef lover. If you aren’t looking for meat, try the classic Seinfeld and fill it with veggies of your choice. The espresso, tea and coffee options are abundant to give you an afternoon kick. They serve several different decadent drinks made with espresso, steamed milk and whipped cream. I’ve yet to sample any of these drinks so I won’t say much more other than that it is a treat to see such offerings in western Maine. The place is small with booth seating and usually gets crowded during the lunch hour. The décor is nice but it seems like stuff that they got at bed bath and beyond. The place seems more fit for local art that’s more authentic and reflective of the surrounding community. But I guess the purpose of this establishment is to serve good soup and sandwiches above all and they do a fantastic job at that.
