Don’t let the outside fool you, these guys can cook! Chicken is outstanding been going for 10 years. Best place to get chicken in 10 mile radius hands down.

Port Jefferson Station, NY
Great place for takeout. When you walk in, you will see a lot of action behind the grill. Keep in mind, none of that chicken gets wasted, all satisfied customers.
The menu might seem a little intimidating because it’s mostly in Español. But the food is great, staff is friendly and feel free to ask questions.
I came here after work on a weekday, and it was packed. They have to be doing something right.
Cons — a little expensive. But honestly, worth it for a good meal.

So I was skeptical of this place as we passed by, didn’t look appealing to the eye. When I walked in you could smell the chicken on the grill, and other meats they were cooking. I’m typing this as I sit here and I usually go in depth on a place, but I have to get back to work. We barley had enough time to sit down, but with food that looked this good, why not. I opted for the half chicken rice and fries. Chicken was delicious, rice was ok, and the fries could of used some kind of seasoning. But they had a green and red sauce at the table that I doused my food with, so it didn’t even matter. It was a perfect compliment to the food. I would definitely come out here again. My only regret is that it isn’t closer to where I live.

My favorite restaurant in Farmingville. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is made fresh and it’s delicious. I eat the chicken and rice with avocado at least 2x’s a week. The steak fajitas are awesome.

The food here is just plain out awesome everything they prepare is delicious the service is very very good except for the occasional waitress that does not speak English lol I highly recommend going to eat here if you get the chats order the steak tacos and the Cuban sandwich

The food is good. The prices more than doubled recently. It seemed every week the prices went up. We used to go here all the time but now only once in a while. It has become to expensive. There are better local choices for less at this point. The new owners must be greedy.

Love the pork sandwich. Spicy and full of flavor. French fries are fabulous.
Step out of your comfort zone and step into some authentic food. And it’s a great place to pratice your Spanish !! Love it.

Amazing and authentic Mexican food!

–authentic Mexican food unlike fake Americanized Mexican food like salsa salsa, señor taco, blue tortilla etc

–Portuguese bread
–amazing Margarita but pricey ($ 10)
–Mexican experienced cooks

–accent can be heavy for people to understand (not me)
Overall this place is amazing and I highly recommend it for a family. Also it’s extremely affordable. You can get a whole chicken grilled with Mexican rice for $ 13 (feeds 3 – 4).

This place has changed a lot in the last months. We ordered some ‘carnitas tacos’ (pork tacos) and they gave us the worst tacos ever. Just the las pieces of the pork they have (we even found a pork ear in it) We ask for a replace with a diferent taco and the waitress was very rude and told us thats all they have. Never going back there again.

Went today after passing it many times and finding the name a bit peculiar. I got the whole chicken with rice and and order of beans. Wow! It was almost 2pm, Thursday, and the place was bustling with customers, clearly enjoying the food and atmosphere. I’ll def be bringing my husband to this hidden gem!

I have lived here in Holtsville forever and always heard about this place. Decided to give it a try last night. My god was it amazing. All I got was the full chicken with rice and beans and a salad on the side with some hot sauce. It was honestly enough to feed 2 – 3 people. The chicken was absolutely amazing. the rice and beans were cooked perfectly. The salad and hot sauce were great sides to have. The hot sauce is full of flavor and heat so beware, only a little is needed. The salad was huge and had tons of veggies n a vinaigrette that was delightful. I paid about $ 23 total for everything including tax. My girlfriend and I ate until we were full and still had some leftovers. Def a great place to get some authentic Portuguese food

I LOVED IT!!!
Huge portions for the $$$ they charge. I asked for a beef torta which it felt like they gave me ½ cow (steak was bigger than the roll, so it was overflowing which it was great) and an agua de jamaica which they gave me a jar look like glass. And all this for $ 10!!!

People were friendly, everyone in there, even others eating there, parking on premises. I mean it has the three «B’s» in spanish: Bueno, Bonito y Barato.

Love Fax Chix. Order the fajitas, half chicken w/​rice and beans, tortas, or the Cuban. All amazing and fresh.
However, as a hot sauce lover, their hot sauce is terrible. I love spicy, but this is too extreme and has no flavor. Just hot to be hot. They give you a coffee cup size portion and literally a drop is enough. I just don’t get this. Whatever. This place is sold anyway. Go there right now.
Either eat there or order in advance because this place gets really busy around dinner time.

This place is hit or miss. I’ve ordered food that was better than average and I’ve also ordered chicken sandwiches that were way too dry. I want to like this place. The sides are big. I will probably give this place a few more chances. Hopefully they can gain some consistency with their food preparation methods. It would be nice if a place with the word chicken in its name could avoid overcooking it.

This place was packed on a Friday afternoon and it looked like everyone was having a really good time, eating their really good looking chickens. I was super excited to get our whole chicken with rice take out order. We also got a beefy sandwich to try. Both were good. But neither were amazing enough that I would go back for more. I think they really need sauces for their chicken. At least a nice verde sauce to counter the dryness. The rice was fluffy but I definitely would’ve enjoyed it with some green sauce.
I guess my bottom line is that I wanted green sauce. It would’ve made all the difference, I say!

This is a hole-​in-​the-​wall place filled with mostly spanish people, which is a good sign. I liked it, but I wasn’t blown away. Yes the chicken was tasty and nicely seasoned but a few pieces were a bit dry, and the tacos were filled with higher quality meats than some other spanish joints. Overall, not a bad place.

I’m no expert on authentic Portugese food… but I do know a hearty, home-​style, gratifying meal when I have one.
My cousin and I stopped by this shabby little restaurant and picked up ½ a chicken with yellow rice and a mini-​loaf of Portugese bread to go. — $ 8.00 in total, and it was enough to feed the two of us for dinner AND lunch the next day! The chicken is grilled in front of you and it was seasoned to perfection. The rice was a little bland, but the Portugese bread MORE THAN made up for it! I could eat that bread for DAYS.
I don’t know why it was necessary for me to get whistled at when I walked in… but it won’t stop me from coming back!
