The customer service is excellent. The selection is as good as its only in town competitor(Sam’s Club). While it does a good business, it doesn’t get so crowded as to be a problem. The produce and meats are fresh. The deli has a decent selection but it can get a little backed up during the busier times. I particularly like the selection of cheeses, the house brands and the predictable layout of the store.

I don’t have too many complaints about BJ’s. They’re prices are usually good, and I love that you can combine manufacturer’s coupons with their coupons. They even have a huge bin of boxes for you to stack your things in for the commute home(which I just realized after 5 months into my membership). What I find incredibly inconvenient is the complete disappearance of items that sell out. You have no evidence of them ever existing. Take, for example, coconut water. I get it every time I go there, but this time it wasn’t in its regular spot, nor was the tag that provided proof that it ever was. On top of that something else was in its place, so I spent a good ten minutes looking for coconut water. When I finally broke down and found an associate, he went right to the original location, and reached beneath a palate and found the sign taped there. He told me it was sold out and to check back tomorrow. I asked if it would be in its original location, and he said yes. Now, If this was a rare occurrence, I’d be ok, but it seems to happen every time I go, for some item or another. My biggest disturbance is receiving a call from the optical department yesterday saying that I could pick up the glasses I ordered. Yesterday was the first light dusting of snow and ice Fayetteville has seen this year, but upon receiving that message, it had long stopped snowing. I was busy all day and managed to arrive at the store at 615, 15 minutes prior to optical’s closing time, to be greeted by a handwritten sign that read«optical is closed due to weather». Meanwhile, it was business as usual for the rest of the store. I’m assuming that they sent that department home, unfortunately after someone called me and told me that they would be open. I asked customer service if they could just give me my glasses, since a stack was laying on the counter, but they told me that they had no association with the optical department. A complete waste of gas and time. However, the prices and customer service(not optical related) will keep me coming back.

As an Extreme Couponer I love this place. They mot only take manufacturers coupons but they also mail you out their own coupon book each month that is packed with all kinds of deals. I have been a member of BJ’s since they first came to Fayetteville. You can’t beat the gas prices. That savings makes my membership worth it alone.

I love all the coupons they send out and they accept manufacturers coupons as well! Every once in a while you get great coupons for diapers and wipes! It’s cheaper than getting online. The fruits and veggies are always nice and fresh with lots of organic options. And the staff are really friendly. One complaint is that I’m used to SAMs and Costco layout so sometimes I get turned around and have trouble finding items. Military gets a pretty awesome deal here too for membership. Best price for gas too!!! Nicer crowd than the SAMs club crowd too.

BJs has a great selection of items at good prices. But they always have great coupons to help you save more. My three favorite things about BJs are actually outside the normal retail function– 1) Their gas prices are always about the lowest in town, including fort Bragg, 2) Their prices on propane are super cheap and 3) The vision center has great deals.(I got new frames and top of the line lenses for $ 150.)

Bj’s offers many organic frozen veggie and fruit choices as well as fresh produce and some pantry staples. They carry uncured turkey and pork bacon. Their ground turkey selection has changed to butterball which definitely did not set well with me. At first they were offering Perdue. Their bakery cakes are pretty good and their Cuban bakery bread is good for sub sandwiches. Their deli offers fresh sliced Harvestland and Applegate meats which are nitrate and nitrite free. They run really great deals on a lot of their products, you just have to know the cycle to be proactive. The lines move quickly and most importantly, they take manufacturers coupons on top of their own coupon deals. This helps because BJ’s price point can be a bit more expensive than average stores.

I can’t believe a company this size would allow the managers to treat and talk to customers the way they did during my one and only experience. If I hadn’t really needed what I went for and had other options I would have gladly spent my $ 400.00 elsewhere. Won’t be going back !

They have a very large frozen ORGANIC fruit and vegetable selection. They also have a fair selection of fresh organic vegetables. Unfortunately, they lack organic chicken or beef.

I love this place. Membership is reasonable and really pays for itself after a few trips to the gas pumps. Store is always clean and organized and the staff is always courteous. Plus, you don’t have to use a specific card when checking out, which is nice.

I have been a Costco member for years. Recently moved to this area and the nearest Costco is in Raleigh. I am pleasantly surprised to find that BJs is just as good if not better! Lots of organic produce, as well as poultry and meats that are humanely raised and well fed, no antibiotics, hormones, etc. which is important to me, and the prices are good. So happy we found this place!

This is basically Sam’s Club twin only with a better selection. The lines are fast moving and the cashiers are friendly. You can pay with cash or credit card which is nice. The prices are very reasonable and if you buy in bulk this is the place to go! The only issue I have, which won’t stop me from coming back, is the parking lot situation. It’s usually crowded which is fine but with the gas station they also have the accident level borders«drunk toddler». I have no idea what brings out the kill switch in this parking lot but be careful.

We are skeptical about changing our membership from Sam’s to BJ’s at first, but now it’s the best decision we’ve ever made!!! This place is brand new, stocked with lots of stuff. More variety than Sam’s and the best part, there’s never a long line!!! No body likes to wait in line or drive circles before finding a parking space. They have a lot of stuff that you can also buy in smaller quantities, which is another plus. They take any kinda of credit card, so no need to worry about opening yet another credit card. Overall, I am very happy with BJ’s and will not go back to Sam’s.
