Bbq is pretty good, but how can you resist a cajun bbq joint. I can get ribs and gumbo at the same time. That does not suck! Not going to say its the best, but nice staff, nice place, above average food. Horrible traffic from badly designed intersections, but that is not their fault.

Best food ever. I travel 3 states for work and this definitely makes the top 5!

I got the chopped pork sandwich — pretty common order I would assume. Very disappointed. $ 9 for cold, dry pork without sauce on a plain white bun. Also, the booths don’t have any padding — it’s just wood, so my back was killing me by the time we left. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

This place is underrated! Not many other places like it in the area, and they have great bbq meats and Delta/​Cajun dishes like gumbo and jambalaya. I’ve always had good service here as well.

Food was cold and pretty much raw when brought out. Sent it back to cook it to medium and it was burnt. Plates didn’t come out at the same time some people were almost done when others came out. Beer was the best.

I was visiting family and I’m from out of town. Pretty average food. Definitely a manly type of hangout. The only issue I had was the temperature of the food.

Best mac n cheese and smoked chicken! Had great service from Charlene.

WOW… the Monday after bikes blues & bbq and I’m pretty sure they’re serving leftovers from Thursday or Friday. Dry, cold and hard meat & buns. Bbq sauce splattered on the walls. No fly control with the bay doors open. Had to get our own silverware. Ask several times for an extra plate. Perhaps the server is exhausted from the weekend but wow, this place has gone downhill. If this trend Continues Mr. McNamara will be forced to close these does like he did Bariolas down the street. I know we’re not coming back!

I have always had great service here and awesome food! My family eats here about monthly and yet to have a bad experience! Love this place and so close to the house!

Hands down the best Louisiana style red beans & rice, jambalaya and gumbo I’ve ever had anywhere in AR. All made from scratch and very authentic. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu but would definitely recommend this place if for nothing else but the LA style dishes.

I greatly enjoyed my experience here! We were there at an off time and still received great service, our food came very quickly and was amazing. They offer around 6 sauce types all of which were wonderful!

I ordered some sort of fries covered with cheese and meat, but the server came over and said they were out of fries! Really? Who runs out of fries?! So, I reordered a pork sandwich with fried okra. The server then came out with a pork sandwich and onion rings, i didn’t order onion rings. She took the plate back and returned it to me with onion ring crumbs all over the plate. It was like the cook just grab the rings off the plate and sent out a half empty plate with crumbs. I then received the okra at the end of my meal. The sauce bucket was filthy, a water cup had lipstick on it, and everything was over salted.
I wouldn’t go back.

Food is overpriced. Terrible Service. Eat somewhere else!!!
I went in today and ordered a platter. The chicken was burnt. The okra was burnt. Our waitress never provided me with a refill. She seemed pissed off and had no interest in helping. Save yourself some time and money and eat somewhere else.

My husband and I went to Boars Nest today. We had a gift certificate that we purchased online. After ordering, we informed the server that we had the certificate, and she said the they had a new owner and were no longer accepting gift certificates. She had a rude and unhelpful attitude. The food was mediocre. They just lost a customer.

Love the smell in here! I was pressed for time, so I thought I would try it for a quick bite. Loved it! Atmosphere was clean, rustic and unique. New oak tables and chairs were emblazoned with the unique Razorback inspired logo. You knew you were in a local joint when you sat down. Wait staff is definitely influential to dudes, but no joke. They are nice, attentive, and efficient! She took the time to greet me subtly (because I was on the phone), offered suggestions, and accommodated my time crunch. She did explain the 4 different tasty BBQ sauces that were available (Delta sauce was my preference, but smoky ranch was worth a dip or two!) I had the smoked chicken plate w. baked beans that surpassed AQ Chicken, but not by much. Mac n cheese was definitely old school cafeteria style (my fav)! When I go back, I’m going to enjoy the ambiance a little more and try the yummy BBQ nachos! Bathrooms were very clean and Well stocked. There wasn’t anything i didn’t like about my experience! Go there if you haven’t tried it!

Had pulled pork and slice beef BBQ. Excellent bbq! Good atmosphere and service.

We go here from time-​to-​time. We shared a chicken sandwich which was remarkably good. This is the place to go have a «beverage» and watch the game.
