Had a very good experience, Josh was the one that helped he was very knowledgable on the product and friendly. During the check out, the line was quiet long and there was only one cash register open. Cashier was talking, basically yelling, to another girl which was sitting in the wheel chair in the corner of the store. Based on the conversation the person in the wheel chair, which did not have any physical handicaps, was another cashier that was taking her«lunch» in the wheel chair that are in the store to accommodate any disabled individuals.

This store is advertised as a «Firearms Superstore», yet the firearms department is consistently understaffed and it is incredibly hard to ever get assistance. The staff openly have said they get paid extra(not commission, ha) for the more expensive guns they sell. So, if you’re not there to buy a $ 3,000 gun, and God forbid you want to browse their Superstore selection, you’ll likely be ignored. Also, their prices are ridiculously high, outside of brands like Benelli who require their dealers to maintain an authorized price point. This goes for their ammunition and accessories, too. LASTLY, I FINDITRIDICULOUSTHEYDONOTOFFERTHEIRMILITARYDISCOUNTATTHISLOCATION. I was told it was because there are too many military personnel in Fayetteville. Come on Gander Mountain…

My wife and I just arrived in town and WERE so happy to see there was a GM here. That is until we actually talked to the red headed beared guy behind the counter. He assumed that we knew nothing of firearms and as he attempted to school us he constantantly looked over every inch of my wife. We both caught him staring at her behind multiple times and at her chest. My wife was not dressed in a slutty fashion either. He also used the term«girly gripping» which I am pretty sure turns off female shooters. The guy is Not knowledgeable, does not listen to his customer and is chauvinistic. THE Steve is A problem. You guys really need to keep him in check. Sensitivity training may need to be in his near future.

I admit it I come here to look at the guns and then go buy them elsewhere. They have the largest selection of new guns in Fayetteville but missed the mark when they failed to add a gun range. The counter people are very hit or miss as well. I get ammo here and some extra supplies that are hard to find. But in all I think this is more of a look at type shop and buy elsewhere type of place. Prices are over the top but for the used gun selection I was shocked at how over priced they were. Everything was at near retail.

Love my dog can accompany me in the store, love the selection of dog E-Collars, sometimes they have a good selection of clothing. I only shop there if I know they have something I want, rarely do I go in just to look around. This Gander is not the best one I have been too but its closer than a Bass Pro.

I received some honest advice from Dave about hiking shoes and I am very pleased with my new Merrell shoes. They are comfortable and durable. I am glad they carried a wide selection of shoes.

Went yesterday to buy a new rifle, could not get anyone to help me. There were three employees helping two customers with 12 others standing at the counter waiting for someone to help them. Left the store with my money in my pocket, will buy elsewhere. I’m glad I left because after looking online I realized their prices are at least $ 100 more than other local stores. I don’t know how they sell anything there. Also, their military discount does not apply to guns.

They don’t offer student nor military discount. Funny thing the one in Plainfield, Illinois gave me one a long time ago.

Excellent service here. I always feel taken care of. If you’re in the market for a weapon, do yourself a favor and speak with Robert. He’s highly knowledgable and very kind. He’s also got a great sense of humor. Their apparel selection is top-notch as well. Gander Mountain is always my first stop for anything outdoors. Unfortunately, as of February 2014, they have done away with all discounts, military or otherwise. This was something that set them apart in this community, and their removing them has made me downgrade their review by a star.
