I’ve frequented this restaurant since the first week it opened here in Fayetteville. I didn’t think it would last in these neck of the woods at the time but it seems to have done rather well. The oxtails, curry goat and chicken, brown-stewed chicken and jerk chicken with peas were tasty and left you feeling full. However, my last couple of visits here were not pleasing at all. The quality of the food is not the same for one. The curry chicken was not well seasoned in my last two visits. In fact, rather bland to be honest. The rice and peas that were previously very tasty, were too salty and i couldn’t finish them. My biggest problem with this place is the portions have gotten drastically smaller since even a year ago. I ordered a large brown stewed chicken today and the portion was about what I would get for a small order typically. Now because there was not enough stewed chicken to complete a full order he offered to add curry chicken with it. I was pleased because I originally couldn’t decide between the two anyway so I got both. But, that still did not complete a large order. This has been a consistent problem with them. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt the last couple of times because, well, you know why. But, I just can’t do it anymore… Then I asked if I could substitute the plantains which I’ve always done before with no issue and I got a very curt, «NO you can’t» from whom I assume was the owner. I hate to change Jamaican establishments since this is so close to my home but I’m forced to do so. I understand there’s a couple of other close Jamaican restaurants on Old National that are still close to the area so I will be giving them my business instead.

I had the curry goat and it was just ok. I’ve had better. The plantains were dry, usually they are saucy so this was weird for me. Also, the cabbage was bland. The curry goat and rice were ok. The jamaican place I frequent piles the food up, so even if I get a small I never eat it all, so it’s basically 2 meals in one. This place however doesn’t do that. I ate it all in one sitting. I will stick with my regular jamaican place over this one.

Jerk chicken was great, but the cabbage was NOT. I’ve never had cabbage from a Jamaican spot that wasn’t good… until today. The cabbage contained the frozen mixed veggies(corn, green beans, diced carrots), no flavor at all. The callaloo was too spicy for me. This was my first visit. Since I don’t live in that area I probably won’t return.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal. The jerk n ox tail was onpoint. The sorrel was onpoint. The cabbage still had the firmness. Some restaurant cook it to death. Their Was like mama’s cooking. Calla loo was just about right. Good eating took place here. oh yeah!

More hits than misses. This is one of the most authentically good JA restaurants in Georgia. They don’t carry coco bread and the jerk chicken is okay. Everything else is fiyah! LOVE the beef patties, stew chicken, callaoo, rum cake, sorrel, and irish moss. It’s a must visit if you’re on the south side craving Caribbean food.

The food is flavorful and well cooked. It tastes like real homemade Jamaican food unlike other places. You have actual Jamaicans preparing the food. The service is excellent. The only thing is I wish the servings were a little more. Oh and I would like to recommend that you try the carrot juice and the sorrel… hmm. Just like grandma made it.

We came here for dinner on a Friday night. He restaurant is located in a strip mall, and they are set up take-out style, with steam trays of rice, plantains, etc. in the front. Hubs got the jerk pork, and I got the curry chicken. The portions are really great, and the service is good. There’s a selection of fruit drinks & sodas in a fridge. There’s a big menu with good variety and authentic dishes. My husband said the jerk pork was probably too spicy for most people(like me!), but for jerk lovers, it was right at that breaking point. I enjoyed the curry chicken — even my picky 2-year-old loved the curry sauce over the rice! We will be back to sample their other fare.

I hate to wright a bad review but wow. I’m very happy to see more West Indian restaurants on this side of town . The good is the cleanliness of the restaurant & the staff were very polite. I would’ve tried their home made Irish Moss but wasn’t thirsty. I was greeted by the smell of the food, it was very pleasant. I had a Curry Goat dinner. The portion size was very generous. The bad was the taste. I was very disappointed in the lack of seasoning. It smelled good but I can tell the meat wasn’t marinated well or long & there was way too much fat(leave the fat in the pots) & the gravy was like water(add a few more potatoes to thicken the gravy). I never add salt to my food NEVEREVER but today I did, I just had to. It was a good thing we ordered our food in 2go trays. I do believe in 2nd chances so I will give them another try in the near future.

Wow this is some of the best Jamaican food I have ever had. It is authentic and feels like I was in Kingston. Great job!!!
