This pizza is about on par with DamnGood Pies, and maybe a notch below Gusano’s — which are all still a far cry from what I would consider great pizza. But I have learned to set the pizza bar so low that I was actually pleasantly surprised with the pizza here. So even though it gets two stars(because«Meh. I’ve experienced better»), I’d be hard pressed to do much better around here. This is one of many Jim’s Razorback Pizza locations in NWA. I hear the radio ads all the time, which tout a special cheese blend that comes from Wisconsin, and fresh dough & sauce made daily. I have to say the cheese blend was pretty good, if on the sharp side for pizza(the«special blend» is heavy on the Romano and Parmesan). The sauce had a good tangy flavor to it and the toppings(pepperoni and onion) were decent. We stopped in for take-out and ordered the«deep pan» style, because the thin crust is that terrible cracker-style that I’m constantly complaining about like a broken record on Unilocal.I just don’t get it I guess, but it’s everywhere. The deep pan is more rectangular than round, and reminded us of a Sicillian pie that certain places offer back home in NJ. You can tell the dough was fresh and we all nodded our heads as we took our bites, saying things like«this isn’t horrible», and«it’s better than I expected». I knocked down 5 slices or so because I was starving, and later it kind of sat in my stomach like a rock. I may lighten my intake next time. This particular location is inside a mini-mart that’s attached to a gas station, so I probably wouldn’t dine in. I believe other locations deliver, so in a pinch I may use them in the future. OK for an easy dinner when you have a bunch of kids over or something. But not a place I’ll make a habit out of frequenting. Think of this place as a more localized, and slightly better than Pizza Hut quality pizza. So if it’s a toss up between those two, support local business.

Pretty good tasting and size slice of pizza and a drink for $ 3.85. That’s about all there is to say for this little place attached to the corner gas station.
