Dr. Carter is very thorough and addresses all the issues regarding your teeth. I came to him because the Pinnacle Dental Group had messed up filling my cavity, and I was in a lot of pain. They told me that I would need a root canal since the filling was not working. I went to Dr. Carter for a 2nd opinion. Dr. Carter diagnosed that there was a possibility that I needed a root canal but that he would try to put a new filling first. He did a wonderful job on the filling, and I haven’t been in pain. I know now that if I have any issues on that tooth later in life, then my next option would really be a root canal. Some tidbits about the office: — He did not take my insurance, but I went to him anyways because of his great service. I’m not sure if he takes any at all, but he is definitely worth the money. The cleaning isn’t anymore than when the insurance pays. The other dental work might be a little more expensive(i.e. fillings and x-rays). –The office is very strict on punctuality with its patients. If you are more than 10 minutes late, there is a chance they will call you. –He has a team of hygienists that clean your teeth. Dr. Carter will examine you afterwards. –He uses a dental dam to prevent all of the stuff from falling into your mouth when he is filling a cavity. –He is booked months in advance for cleanings. It’s best to book your next cleaning as soon as you are done with your check-up. He does have room for emergencies though.
