I was I in the store to pick up some supply’s for my business and the staff just not friendly as I expected. I worked for Office Depot back in the days when I was in school and the most important thing for the store managers was customer service, we had to greet every customer came in the store, you just don’t see that any more, even when I was walking around in the store, no one associate asked if I needed some help. They just doing their own thing. I had to order two custom made stamps and the lady in the copy center told me I should go home do it online, because the system is slow and they are about to close(it was 6:00 pm and they close at 7:00pm). So my question to her was you can’t order my stamps in one hour? And she reply you can try yourself, so she let me use the computer and I ordered them in 20min. No customer service at all, she was talking on the cell phone the whole time.

Got a super-duper deal on a laptop for my son for Christmas. It was an online only deal which I was picking up from the store when we visited Atlanta. The folks here are friendly enough, even if the young lady did not once look me in the eye when I took delivery of it, and her ‘thank you’ sounded more perfunctory than sincere. Regardless, I fear that Staples will go the way of the dodo bird some time soon. The store was pretty quiet for 2 days before Christmas despite all the price-slashing. Yet another road kill on the Informational superhighway that YOU invented, Mr Gore!
