This is an extremely late review, however, as I search my new city for a decent Gyro, I’m left reminiscing about this place. I was TDY at FT Bragg for a couple weeks in May of this year. While there, staying in the transient barracks, I was obviously left to my own devices for grub. So naturally I would head out the Riley gate and just drive around aimlessly looking for something NON McDonalds-ish to eat. Not as if there’s anything wrong with a McRib now & then, mind you, but I still prefer non commercialized food when I can get it. Anyway as I’m a HUGE Gyros fan this place just leaps out at me. There I was minding my own business when… Pow! There it was, like a shining beacon on the hill speaking to me, «Dave, you know you want me, come to me!» So I did what any gyro loving fat man would do, I groveled my way inside for a look see. At first I was taken back at what I saw & then I remembered, yes you’re outside of an Army base Dave. Of course this Greek/Mediterranean place is ran by Koreans, was there ever a doubt? So it MUST be good right? Plus it had that feel of an awesome little hole-in-the-wall lunch joint oozing with the perfect amount of grease to both corrode your arteries and flavor-up your lunch. Now they did offer other sandwiches, but when in Rome right? Plus that’s the reason I stopped in anyway, so I knew what I wanted. I ordered the large lamb gyro(chicken gyros are for commies, by the way), with extra cucumber sauce & a side of fries. And like any self respecting gyro joint, they had the real vertical hunk of lamb roasting away and looking so tasty. Frankly, I can’t understand how anyone can look at such succulent meat glistening in it’s own greasy glory and NOT order a gyro. Anyway, I digress, I sit down and wait for the carving & assembly to commence. And before not too long, I’m presented with a mouth watering masterpiece that has me beside myself. It’s huge, overflowing with meat, sauce, tomatoes & onions and they sprinkled it with a generous portion of feta. I was in love! Seriously! If I weren’t already married, I would have married my Gyro! Juicy, hot, oozing with goodness, stinking of feta and grease, the whole experience was awesome! Needless to say, during my two weeks there I returned on many afternoons for repeat episodes of self-indulgence. In reality this should be a 4.8 rating, my deduction is based on the fact that they do not have fountain drinks and they only have a crappy old TV to watch while dining. Otherwise 5 stars hands-down!

Interesting little place, I like their mix of Greek and Korean. I had the Bulgogi gyro, it was interesting, more like a sweet and sour pork than a Bulgogi. Huge portion. Onion rings were good. Place was old on the inside, but very clean.

My chicken gyro was tasty, that’s the one reason that it’s 3 stars. They were polite but the place was run down and just felt weird to be in

I went here thinking as well this Zorbas was connected with the other 2 in town and it wasn’t. Right when I walked in I knew something was off. I ordered a gyro with everything like I always do. The meat was sliced up in a tub waiting to be re heated on the grill when someone ordered. When I got the gyro the pita bread was stale. It fell apart instantly. The meat was obviously not fresh. The only thing fresh was the fries, with no salt on them. They don’t have a soda machine either so you’ll get a bottle or can. Who does this now a days? I felt relieved when I came to the REAL Zorbas to find out they aren’t connected to each other. I won’t EVER go back. I won’t get lazy on lunch break like I did the other day and take an extra 10 minutes to drive to raeford road for a real fresh gyro. This place is a joke, take my word for it.

So, I had lunch at the Raeford Road Zorba’s and thought that these two were related. The Raeford Road location was very good. This one — not so much. I should have known when I walked in on a Wednesday evening and I was the only one there except for the lone employee. I just wanted a good Greek salad. What I got was shredded lettuce, most of which was yellow, a few tomatoes, a decent amount of cucumbers and a tablespoon each of black olives and feta cheese. This is not a side salad, it’s an $ 8.00 salad. The server/chef was careful to ask if I wanted each ingredient, kind of like being at Subway, but failed to ask if I wanted the one thing that I would have left off — green bell peppers. The dressing was clearly Italian dressing, not Greek dressing. And the place smelled weird. Like a stale bar that allowed smoking. Not so appetizing. Will not return.

I asked for a chicken and lamb gyro and the Asian lady making them 5ft away from me couldn’t fathom mixing the meat. Not allowed to deviate from the norm I suppose, if I didn’t have to be back at work I wouldn’t have gone through with my order. I won’t be coming back here. They need to get with it, I asked for nice meat not for the stars out of the sky.
