Lots of stuff really cheap. When I start filling my basket or cart I always put way more than I thought I would in it. In the end, I end up spending much more than I thought I would. Everything is so colorful, bright and plentiful. The people that work there are always cheery. They have lots of cheap toys for the kids and for the kid at heart(like me).

The new store lost power yesterday during the snowstorm. This morning, our family set out to Five Below for some snowday equipment, completely unaware of the power outage. When we arrived, a gentleman answered the locked door and told us about the outage. We asked if we could simply purchase the items we needed in cash and be on our way. He and the store managers(who happened to be having a staff meeting up front) welcomed us into the store while we completed the transaction«the old fashioned way» WITHOUT computers. The whole staff made the best out of the situation and shared a few lighthearted laughs with my family. Thank you Five Below store 122, your kindness made our entire day!

Five Below has an odd mix of product, from snacks to board games, clothing, cheap electronics and just plain junk. Good deals can be found though, and its a good place for inexpensive candy. My only gripe with the store is at the checkout. Sometimes employees are nowhere to be found. Other times, the line gets pretty long because they refuse to open another register.

I don’t know how I feel about Five Below, everything is priced between $ 1.00 to $ 5.00, but there’s a lot of junk in here. At the same time, it is great for families who really need to watch their pennies. I have passed it many times, but I thought maybe I could pick up some stocking stuffers for the little ones and that is easy enough to do here. I avoid wrapping gifts as much as possible, so I was able to find gift bags at reasonable prices, however I was not into their Christmas decorations at all, a lot of plastic or wild tinsel going on. «Candy poopers with brand new farting sounds, we poo candy» I’m serious! The snowman poos candy into his black hat, Santa poos down the chimney and Rudolph just goes ahead and poos into Santa’s gift bag! I guess this would be a cute?, gag gift for an adult, but here’s hoping parents do not buy them for children. Bah humbug. They have brand name footballs and basketballs, festive and funny men’s and woman’s t-shirts that are quite funny and Santa hats that are funny(in a good way) as well. Lots of winter gear with leggings, gloves, hats and scarves, all at great discounts, especially for growing little ones. Lots of games, board games, computer games and video games. DVDs, yoga mats and balls, party supplies, crafts galore, I could go on and on. I can see this being a big hit and help to some, it served my purpose for what I needed, they did have some cute beanie babies and Hello Kitty stuff, if you’re a collector, which I am not. I’m a fan of the old five and dime stores of yesteryear and Five Below is an upscale version of the Dollar stores, as for me, I can live without it, I can seen teens and preteens loving this store, so I’ll give it an A-Okay for those who need it, oh and they sell lots of trendy stuff plus iPhone and iPad accessories. This is a fairly new company, based out of Philadelphia, so if you do not have one near you now chances are that you will soon as they are growing like weeds.
