I really enjoyed this place, being the meat lover I am. For about $ 20 you get as much Korean bbq that you can(stand to) eat! They have an okay selection of meats, not the best, but not terrible either, just beef, short ribs, chicken and pork. They also have shrimp, squid, chicken gizzard, and beef intestines for those who are more adventurous. The grills are really fun and it feels like I’m working for my food hahaha. But in all seriousness, they’re super hot and cook the meats really quickly so keep an eye on them or else they’ll get burnt! They have a selection of vegetables like onions and tomatoes that also taste really good after being grilled. Of course there is a selection of banchan like kimchi, bean sprouts, bean curd — all stuff that pair really well with meat. They also include a bowl of rice, but I’d tell them you don’t need it, so you can eat more meat! They have a small selection of sushi, but I wouldn’t waste your time. The fillings of the sushi are literally all the same, imitation crab meat and cucumber. Only the outside appearance changes. Unless your into them, trying one is good enough. I also can’t tell if the fans were working, but I definitely went home smelling like kbbq(not exactly terrible). Also, I feel like the servers really rush you to finish. They constantly came over and asked us if we were done and tried to turn off our grill. I understand why they would want to have a higher turnover rate, but it was not very welcoming.

Kimchi and few hot and cold side dishes were perfunctory, it really wasn’t that good. They did have bean paste soup which I didn’t partake. I did like their ssamjang, garlic, raw jalepneo, and spicy shredded radish. They have raw onions, mushroom for you to grill. When you are assigned a table, they give you a bowl of white rice, chopsticks and water. You go get everything else. The price is now $ 18.99 M-Th and $ 22.99 Sat-Sun

Best bang in the buck for Korean BBQ buffet in town. We take a 45-min trip from Lynnwood once every two weeks to dine here. The thing that we like the most about this place is that we are able to get our own meats and large selection of side dishes. One small tip is that do not come here after 8:30 as they always seem to run out of stuffs by then. The owners are very friendly. Along with Honeycourt, this is another restaurant that we always take our friends and relatives to whenever they come to visit us.

The food quality here is good but you pay quite the price for it. The bill came out to be over $ 20 a person for lunch with tax. There is a decent selection of seafood to cook but the sides available are modest. I did not appreciate the waitress attempt to cook the food in front of me while I was eating, however she kept the water filled and removed dirty plates quickly. The interior is large and clean. I’m glad I tried this place out but am not in a rush to return.

One of my favorite places ever! Beware of smelling like food forever so this should be the last or only stop for the day. It is an all you can eat. You can call and make a reservation ahead of time which I totally recommend because this place get really packed and wait time is horrendous because people want to eat as much as possible. The older waitresses generally walk around to check on your grill and food and they will«teach» you how to place and cook it faster and they will cut up your meat. Some people seem to find that offensive but I think it’s fine. They also give you a heads up when they need to switch out the grill. Also be aware and conscientious not to waste food especially the meat as they will charge for the excess waste.

Great food. Typical Korean buffet but a bit pricey. for 2 adults and 2 toddlers it came to $ 90. But we are light eaters I suppose for big eaters it would be worth it. Food is really great. Service great too.

Everyone always goes to and raves about Palace Korean BBQ, but I think Kum Kang San is way better. At Palace, the grills are small, the banchan is good-but you have to keep asking for refills, and you have to sometimes wait a while for your order of meat to get brought out to your table. At Kum Kang San, it is the exact opposite. Grills are larger, you serve yourself when it comes to the banchan-you can get a little or as much as you want since it’s on a buffet line. And you don’t have to wait for meat to be brought out to your table, that too is on a buffet line-so again you get what you want, when you want. Soups are are very good. Skip the sushi. The already made Korean food on the other buffet line is hit or miss, but when it hits — it’s solid. Love the chocolate cake they offer for dessert. Place is not bad overall, moderately priced with good customer service

I’ve been to my fair share of KBBQAYCE and I’d say that this was by far the most disappointing. I’m originally from California and we know how to do KBBQ. Seattle needs to take a page and have some major overhauling to meet my standards. The meat selection was incredibly lackluster. Standard beef, chicken, pork, etc. but there is only a non-marinade and 1 marinade selection for each type of meat. Where I come from there are 3 – 4 different types for each meat so you can have some variety. Also, the meat quality itself was pretty bad. Nothing was fresh and I’m a bit iffy on how long those meats sit in the un-refrigerated containers waiting for patrons to take some with them. The cold side dishes were also underwhelming. Much less variety than I’ve seen elsewhere, and because it’s a buffet style there were dishes entirely empty, not filled for the remainder of our meal. Same goes for the desesrt, but I’ll give credit that I’m happy they served dessert at all, since KBBQ frequently do not offer this. They did not have the typical selection of appetizers available(potstickers, etc), but did offer some hot side dishes(mashed potatoes?). The service was ok. Since this is a buffet you do not have a waitress, and you’re at the mercy of the few staff members circling to give you a refill or change your grill. This can also be a plus though because you don’t have to deal with judgement after multiple orders of meat refills, and you don’t need to wait for your server to bring you more food. Definitely a trade off, and I do admit the not waiting part was very nice. However, I was VERY turned off by the fact that one woman repeatedly returned to our table and re-arranged our grill without asking. She event as far as to putting meat on people’s plates WITHOUTASKING! I have severe seafood allergies and my companions were cooking fish so this was EXTREMELYRUDE and unprofessional. I’m taking off a full star just for this service because it was so off-putting. I understand that there may be a general arrangement or style of cooking that works best, but she should have given us pointers or at least asked first. We have been to KBBQ many times and are well aware of how to cook our meat. I understand that in the greater Seattle area there are few and far between ayce kbbq places to choose from, but I’m very disappointed with kum kang san bbq grill buffet. I would not recommend this place and I will not be returning. There is an ample amount of parking in the private associated lot along the back and sides. The entrance is a bit weird /confusing. You just pull in and have to drive though the long driveway/entryway and you’ll find the parking.

Limited selection of meats compared to Cham Garden in Tacoma but tasty nonetheless. Space is huge so no lack of tables mo matter what time you come.

so-so Korean BBQ buffet. For $ 20 you get all you can eat in a few variety of meats — marinated beef, short ribs, spicey chicken, pork, and pork belly. They also have sushi and some other dishes — fried rice, chow mein and desserts. It’s not bad, just not the best quality of meats but I’ve eaten so much korean BBQ over the years, I’ve basically turned into a BBQ snob. LOL. The staff are pretty friendly and they checked back with us frequently to make sure dirty plates were removed from our table and our waters were kept filled. The layout of the restaurant is a little strange(probably because the building use to a strip club back in the 90’s…NOJOKE). So many good BBQ spots in Federal Way… i’d rank this one in the middle of the pack. Not spectacular but certainly not crappy.

This place is Overpriced for what it has! Probably the worst Korean BBQ I have ever had. Hot bar section is less than appetizing. Sushi had horrible taste and definitely not fresh! If you turn your burner up, they’ll come to your table and turn it back down and later cook turned off the grill without asking. This Place smells funky, Restroom are nasty/dirty with broken towel holder and soap dispenser.

Not the best Korean bbq but if you are starving is ok, buthe meat is seasoned ok. there is too many side dishes that just sit there and get cold. Maybe during the busy time it’s a little bit better but for now is slow and everything just doesn’t seem so appetizing to grab and take to the table.

Going there was a bit of a struggle for my friend and I. Mainly because it was hidden and not clearly shown, making it kind of hard to find the location. Okay, onto the food: The food was a bit better than than I expected from a buffet. The sushi they laid out were a bit stale and some of the meats were either empty or low. But great thing when I made an eye contact with an employee, the employee quickly refilled it. I am not sure if they refill the rice for free or if they charge extra or even if I am allowed to get it myself. They are not very clear of what is included in the buffet and what is not. One example is soda and hot tea. They told me hot tea is free but it is not displayed and soda is charged but it has easier access.(I think they are trying to lure you to buying something without knowing it). The marinated pork was my favorite along with the pork belly and beef short ribs Now the service: I understand it is a buffet and it is help yourself type of thing. BUT I still believe the servers should refill our water cups. Or ask us how is everything or if we needed anything. Because my friend and I finished our waters and we put it out to the edge for the server but the server either did not see it or ignored it. And we had to grab the server attention to get a refill. Another thing we needed was more napkins and when we request for it. It seems like our server forgot which is perfectly fine for us. We are not the type to get angry about it. On the positive note: the fact that the server asked us to changed our grill multiple times is something I really like. Other places the servers just take it and sometimes my food is still being cook and they still switch my grill. As for the setting itself: Music was quiet. The place itself is very quiet. When I went there were only two tables. Me being one of them. Maybe that’s why… Place is pretty clean. Haven’t checked the bathrooms. But I know I will definitely be returning !

If you are looking for some all you can eat Korean BBQ at a good price you need to find this hidden place. Prices are good and there are some many options to pair with what your cookin. The only thing that can get annoying is the waitstaff really likes to jump in and cook your food for you. which is nice if you haven’t had it before, but people that have had Korean BBQ before it can get old. Also be aware of this is your first time you will smell afterward. Don’t wear anything you love or planned to do much afterward.

We go here often for family dinners. When we get together we all love to eat till we can’t breath. I remember this place as a Deja Vu when I was in high school a very long time ago… It costs about $ 19.99 per adult which I think is 11 years old and up. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner, weekdays and weekends and all the food stays consistently the same. I like that you get to pick out the meat and seafood yourself and you don’t have to flag down a waitress to get you more food like some other Korean Barbecue restaurants. There’s plenty of other pre-made pickled veggies and fish cakes. There’s also some simple sushi rolls, onions, mushrooms, lettuce, fried rice, yakisoba, mackerel, tempura veggies and 4 different broths. Plenty of meat and seafood selections like steak, chicken, short ribs, pork belly, intestines, squid, shrimp. They have a small selection of dessert: grapes, watermelon, pineapple, green and red jello, chocolate and strawberry cake. They usually change out the grill halfway through dinner when it gets too charred. Service is decent here and the bathrooms aren’t too bad either. Overall, I like it here and will continue coming back when I have a craving for KBB or whenever we have a family get together.

All you can eat meat and sushi/Korean food. This was one buffest where I didn’t leave full up to my brain. I didn’t want to scrape my inside out or die from over eating. I did die from all the smoke! Damn smoke. I drove with my windows down in the rain all the way back to downtown Seattle just to get rid of that smoky smell! The breakdown– $ 20(lunch) — all you can eat meat, cooked food, sushi rolls, side dishes, soup and dessert. Drinks though they may offer are not included in that price. If you are quick to jump on that soda offer, watch out! Meat session — they have frozen meat, soft meat and shrimps on ice. **Pork belly, spicy marinated squid, soy flavor pork belly, short ribs, chicken, marinated chicken, chicken gizzards, marinated beef, rolled beef, beef intestines and so on. Cooked food– Short ribs with potatoes, grilled mackerel, short rib soup, cabbage soup, chowmein, Jap chae, different kind of kimchi, sushi rolls! Fruits, jellos and few cakes. The lady that work there will help you turn on your grill and help you cook if you are clueless like me. She was pretty nice. The down side? The coooooking! Man– that’s how they get you I swear. Each plate, I bring a little bit of shrimp, beef, pork belly, spicy squid and such. Each take forever to cook. Shrimps are the best, quickest. Squid is a close second. Short ribs are the tastiest! But take a while to cook. They also have crab legs and such. I hate the cold icy flavors but after throwing them on the grill, they tasted quite good. They also have a spice bar, give you rice etc. Overall, you have 2 hours limit. Grabbing meat can be a pain and cooking take times. Unless you are a buffet pro, you’ll be tired with 2 go! I did. They charge you $ 10 per person if you leave too much food behind. So watch out for that! Overall, it’s good. I wanted more meat! Or a bigger grill. But it was good. Can’t stand the smoke though. There was a huge vent/fan on my table but I don’t think it was on. I couldn’t breathe while I cook the meat. But that’s due to my smoke allergy. Food was good. Not sure if I’ll drive all the way back down just for it but if I’m in the area, I might drop by. Only if I have a good hour or two for lunch of course. No quickie meals happening here!
