I have been purchasing clothes from Lane Bryant for over a decade, and I have a credit card with them. I’ve never written a negative review of one of their stores before, because I’ve not had a negative experience until now. I find this unfortunate because I obviously like their clothes and haven’t had this kind of experience before. I came in at quarter to closing time to shop for a new outfit for Valentine’s weekend which was kind of a big deal to me since I had plans with my boyfriend for several weeks. As soon as I walked in, an employee shouted at me from across the room that they closed in ten minutes. It was rude, blunt and definitely not the kind of greeting to give a customer, let alone a long time one, as soon as she enters the store. I ignored her and started to browse. There was one other employee in the store, and she was helping another customer. After about two minutes, the one that shouted at me asked in an unfriendly manner if I needed any help and again stated they were closing soon. I replied that I was fine. I kept looking, but not feeling welcome, I left shortly after that. I’ll skip this location and shop at the other locations where they are friendly and helpful.

Most days, you walk in peopel greet you and if there isn’t a ton of people in there you get help. I ordered and received my package. I went to pick it up and look through it. It was almost an inconvenience to the kid up front. Why do you hire idiots? Seriously, if you haven’t trained them they shouldn’t be on the floor. And, your staff should be full figured as the twig there wouldn’t understand what it’s like to have over the shoulder boulder holders. After several returns and poor service both online/phone and in this store, I’m thinking the mgr needs to be fired and new staff. They were so busy talking trash about other stores while customers were in the store. Seriously poor etiquette and no business minded folks. The ladies who used to work here back when it was at a different part of the mall were good. Some not great, but overall good. They all knew me by name. When I come in now, there’s a new person each time, and that’s not a good sign if you have that much turnover. The other gal working was avoided customers. If you have schizoid disorder you need to work in a library after hours. Some customer walked up to me and asked me about things as I was sorting through sweaters. LOL I said I didn’t work there, but several people later, I got the lazy girl’s attention who was pretending to be organizing, but was just touching things and hiding from the register while there was a line and the other girl was asking for help. Something is wrong with that pic. We got her attention finally and I just took the lead. Sweater I wanted I asked for another since the only gray one had a snag. She didn’t look and said they didn’t have anymore of that color. The customer who I had helped said they can have it shipped from South Hill. The worker denied it. That customer got her stuff and left noting to call South Hill. I think I’ll just get pickups here and shop somewhere else. They need new staff that actually like working. I get people have rough days, but the one gal hiding seems to do that everytime I have seen her in the last two months always hiding. This location also has a bad habit of not calling or emailing you when a package arrives. Many boxes were shipped back after UPS sends me an email noting it was delivered I show up and they deny having it. Be careful. Call customer service via # on back of card and go through them. They can patch through to store and demand to know where it is. If it shows at order completed and arrived and signed by… Then it better be there for customer to pick up. :)

I think the customer service hear is pretty great. They have a fair selection, and the store is always clean and organized. Have had many purchases, exchanges and returns, all of which they were helpful. Missing star, two things, why oh why did they close the Tacoma store? And second… I think the prices are a bit steep, but hey, its not stoppin me from shopping there!

Ask for help in bras or other. The girls are all pretty helpful. Seems pretty steady business flow. They all seem to use ur names in the fitting room and as u shop. Decent service, I only go in during sale time. Can get spendy otherwise. Also they have reward real women dollars u can redeem with later purchase. They told everyone happy mothers day and had cupcakes and sparkling cider for the last day of their 40% off sale that only happens twice a year. Was helped by Christine, Shawon and another nice gal.

Pretty store, nice employees. Where does it go wrong — way overpriced and poor customer service policies. I actually found 2 cute tops and wanted to purchase them before our movie started. Got in line to pay, there were 2 cashiers and 2 different sets of customers doing«holiday returns» both sets of customers were professionals at trying to scam the system and while the poor employees tried to deal with these 2 sets of whack jobs — me and the 11 yr old had to wait 20 minutes to pay for my purchase! If I hadn’t loved the shirts I would have just walked out(and I couldn’t come back because the store would have been closed when the movie was over). I had a sobbing child(because she was worried she was going to miss the first few minutes of «Twilight»). What should they have done? One of them should have said«just a moment I’ll finish trying to do your returns and give you more money than what you paid after I ring up the purchase for this legitimate customer and her crying child!».
