The Retreat at Maple Hill

On a hot day such as this the pool should be open. Instead its closed and green and no one is working on draining or cleaning it. Disgusting as hell

The team at the retreat at maple hill is corrupt and should be ashamed of themselves. They purposefully do not offer enough to parking to serve their residents and then self them off to towing companies. Residents pay rent, you the manager work for the tenants. I could never in good conscious just sit back on my laurels and allow this disgusting practice continue.
I always get so disheartened when i see workers and the working-​class get attacked/​screwed over. My friend works in the city till 2 on the weekend nights and doesn’t get back till 3 am when there is literally no parking spots left and two hours later they tow him away for hundreds of dollars as if he is some criminal and not a worker and just trying be home and feel safe and happy which is what everyone wants when they go home.
Don’t rent here. The construction is cheap, noisy, the kitchen is dated and disgusting and the dumpsters are over flowing with garbage and i see hundreds of rats in the trees because if it. This place sucks thank God my friend is moving.

I have lived here for three years and from what I have seen it’s not the staff that are the problem it’s the people the staff is friendly and works so hard to keep the place maintained but it’s like chasing their tails. Every single morning I see the maintenance men cleaning up but it’s just not enough because some of the people here are gross they make no effort to close the trash compactor and will just leave their garbage out by the garbage instead of in it and closing it like You should to activate, so once again often You will see them out there working on fixing it but they do fix it. I usually would not feel this way but I am overjoyed that they no longer accept section 8 the place seems to be really cleaning up. I would give 5 stars but My upstairs neighbor stomps around 24 – 7 like a parade of elephants and wakes Me up at 6 am every single day weekend or weekday vacuuming at 4am is Her specialty but I don’t say anything because She has children and obviously insomnia and I know what that can be like. Also I have no idea what people are ranting about their air conditioners being broken for We don’t have air conditioners here We have central forced air which is a a glorified fan and that is more then most Seattle Apartments have, These apartments stay quite cool anyways as the area is rife with pretty trees. I have never really had any problems living here that were not taken care of promptly and professionally.

If I could give this place negative stars it would be –10 stars. DO NOT EVER move here! Shady place with shady leasing agents. Ashley is a Money hungry liar. I AM so glad I avoided living here. I was quoted one price and gave my holding deposit a few days later she calls to tell me sorry but the rent would be higher because she gave the wrong price… Umm what?
Long story short I tell her I do not want to live there. She then refuses to give me my deposit back.

I paid my rent on time and they sent me my money back and charged me a late fee. Please tell me this is fraud… This doesn’t seem right at all. They threatened to vacate me in 3 days if they don’t get a payment. How is this right. You can’t treat people this way especially if your about to make them homeless cause you refuse to take a payment. Please do not ever sign a lease with these people. You will regret it the first month!!!
Pools closed once again. This is the 6^th time since it opened on memorial day. Seriously. This is bullshit

The staff is poorly ran even with new managment. The maintenance crew lies so they don’t have to fix things in your place. It takes months to get something fixed even a water heater or stove. Cars are broken into often. I would not recommend this place at all.

WORST MANAGEMENT I am 28 going through disability I went in with my wife and children, my in-​law had spoken with KIM BER had agreed the place worked for my wife, we show up so my wife can see the place, we canceled two other viewings and decided it was as close to her job, so we get to the office and they were still closed at 9:15, the manager opened and greeted us we were the first in line but some other folks were waiting well she first helped them then us, sat them down and told them KIM BER would be back, KIM BER’S CARS TIRES WERE SLASHED, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL personally i would keep those details personal, then she asked us if we’ve been helped of course not so then we asked for any two bedrooms available, «remember my in-​law called yesterday to ask and we got a price at 892 apt number 161 to move in on 4÷20»… so she says yes we have one its 921, I got up from my chair and told her we had gotten 892 from KIM BER yesterday and she said it was going to stay the same price, by morning,… her response was «no she must not gotten the updated reports and now its 921» I’m getting upset so i tell my wife its not fair why give us a set price to stay till Friday morning and then change it…, well we left for a doc’s appointment which then found out the doctor canceled on me, so we head back and she then asked to view the apartment so the manager does so on the way out i asked if i can speak to the manager to see what she thought of what happened KIM BER needs more training to remember to tell the customer to put in the deposit to hold the price and the apartment, she said «I am the manager and I am sorry KIM BER should have told you but the price is what it is» I told my wife well go and see it, the manager walked towards the golf cart which they use to take future residents to there viewing of the apartment, well remember i am disabled I limp i don’t have a cane cause I’m embarrassed, OK so she made us walk it was not close it was far, i felt horrible after a while i couldn’t even make it i yelled from far to my wife to come back this manager was doing this on purpose she didn’t even offer a ride on the golf kart HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT STAY AWAY for that price look up the SEX OFFENDERS There is at least 15 in 1 mile area the manager would not give me her bosses number maybe she is scared cause she is on the line of losing her job cause she does a poor poor poor managing,

Horrible. I didn’t even sign a lease here and I know it’s a nightmare. I went to view a 2 bedroom. She was so excited to show me but it was disturbingly disgusting I couldn’t fathom why she was so thrilled to show that mess:
Ceiling coming down
Stand up shower locker room style
Old appliances (she called the place rennovated)
Charging 930‑1000!!! I wouldn’t live there for free.
I thought it was a joke. She was serious. Im not uppity but i couldn’t raise my daughter in that mess. Keep that please.

This place is not where you want to be. My fiancé and I have lived here for two years and have hated every second of it. Weather its the neighbors, or the management its never a chill day. Tonight our 65 ford galaxie got tagged. Filed a police report. Was wondering where the 24 hour patrol was that this complex advertises. The vandilsm is a sign that nothing is safe in the RETREAT AT MAPLE HILL parking lot. Also been told that because I work evenings (bartender) that I need to be quiet when I come home at 12 am because the lady downstairs complained. Don’t live here if you work evenings because JESSICA will tell you too bad thats past quiet hours and tell you theres nothing SHE can do. This place has and is continued to disappoint my fiancé and I. Three of our neighbors are moving out next month because the management is raising there rent. There great families that are getting screwed over by this complex. PLEASE DON’T COME HERE!!! WE CAN’T WAIT TO BE GONE.

When my A/​c Broke it took them 4 months to fix it-​but I did get 200 off my next months rent for the inconvenience.
