I wish I could say that my experience with Total Wine was better than my experience in the one I visited in AZ. Different problems, but problems nonetheless. First of all, getting help finding the beverages was great. Very helpful employees. I asked how to get coupons and was told how very readily. When I checked out, I asked the cashier how to become a member so I could get rewards. «Go to the website.» That was not very helpful at the time.
The coupon I got was $ 5 off $ 50 in wine. Not helpful, as I was not buying wine. Of course, that’s not their fault.
Anyway, I went on the website, became a member and requested credit for my purchase. It’s all good now. But, maybe learning a bit better customer service would be a good thing.
Really good selection on alcohol. Lots of good prices, too.

If you haven’t been to a Total Wine & More. You are missing out on the little things in life that make it worth living. Any type of alcohol or mixer you need this place has it. From Wine, to spirits, to craft beer the options are endless. Every item is priced to show the actual after tax checkout price which makes shopping extremely easy. For myself the hardest part of leaving is not grabbing an extra bottle on the way to the check out stand. Employees are usually pretty helpful since finding what you are looking for can sometimes be confusing. This is a great chain that really exemplifies why the state was right to get out of the liquor business. Make sure you stop in the next time you need something to take the edge of.

Great selection of wine and spirits, probably the best liquor store in the area or that I’ve ever been to. But, customer service is lacking.
Yesterday was our first visit and I was looking for Bailey’s. I saw a young brunette female employee and asked her where the Baileys was. She told me «Aisle 6, but if you need further assistance find someone else because I’m off the clock» She said it in an unpleasant way. I had no time to call her out on her rudeness because she immediately walked away.
First of all, I understand working retail and wanting to go home at the end of your shift. Secondly, she had already answered my question so there was no need to add the snarky remark. I didn’t need her to take me by the hand to find it. She could’ve said Aisle 6, I can have one of these two other employees standing 8 feet away answer more questions since I’m off the clock or something.
Another reason not to venture into Federal Way, there’s another large liquor store on 38^th in Tacoma I can go to and the employees aren’t rude.
The other staff didn’t approach us or address us as they walked by us, the cashier was pleasant but didn’t thank us at the end of the transaction.

I wish they had a Total Wine in Tacoma! I’ve been several times now and the experience and selections are way better than Bevmo.
One such time, a friend and I had gone in to inquire about how to make an old fashioned. The employee helped us procure all of the ingredients after going into great detail about the different methods and ways to make an old fashioned from early prohibition, 1960’s and to current. He went over price points and the whole works. We came in a couple of noobs and ended our night feeling like Don Draper.
I went into Bevmo (way closer to my house) a few weeks later and inquired about this same cocktail to see if there would be a difference in opinions. The guy had little to no idea what he was talking about (the little he had to say anyway) and was pretty much like «ummm…try this one.»
Total Wine appears to always have an expert on hand for your drink of choice and count on them to steer you in the right direction even if you’re unsure of what that might be. They know their ish!
Now, I’m on my way to Bevmo. Yes, Bevmo because it’s way closer by. At least Bevmo will price match at times on their nicer bottles. Yes, Total Wine is also less expensive.

Alcohol Disneyland. Their wine selection is great! Totally recommends this place.

I have frequented this store over the past few months and have been let down by my lasts visit.
I would love to give them 4 to 5 stars as their selection is better than most and the cost to fill growlers is very reasonable. However, I accompanied my boyfriend today and they refused to sell to him as I didn’t have my ID present. Apparently it is company policy to card anyone under 41. This is the first time in my 10+ visits someone other than the payee has been carded. I’m all for company policy however it should be followed 100% of the time vs. when they want. On another note what if I was with my child? Would they not sell to me? Makes zero since as a customer.

I recently moved back to Washington from Texas and was worried that I would not be able to find a place that compared to Spec’s in Texas. Total Wine is not quite as great as Spec’s (no military discount), however, it exceeded my expectations. There is a never-​ending variety of wines, spirits AND beer. I go to Total Wine quite often to pick up my favorite wines and German beers and the place has always been clean and organized. The employees have always been efficient and helpful as well.

this location is not bad.
Their associate who served us tastings was very passionate and into his job. He told us what he enjoyed on a particular wine we tasted that was from France. He even helped a person next us to us who was tasting as well that did not need extra help.
Their store layout was pretty good, as to the left you will see wine and to the right the hard core stuff and all the way to the corner, you will find beer.
Snacks and other accessories were spread in between.
Restrooms were clean.
We got a few bottles and this location accomplished what we needed.

I love the variety. I go here just about every week before the game to fill my growler. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 is because I got ignored twice at the beer station in 2 weeks. Great place but it’s not a good look when no one ask you if you need assistance when you’re standing there with an empty growler.

I don’t drink… But I LOVE this store! What’s not to love? They have everything… Well, everything but the Don Melchor Concha y Toro Cabernet that I’ve been looking for as a gift. Fast, friendly service… check them out!

I LOVE my wine, but I really didnt know much about wine. I walked into Total Wine and felt like a kid in a candy store. But I had no idea where to start because the selection was massive. Fortunately I was approached by a nice gal that walked me through the process. Asking what I like and giving me wonderful recommendations. She educated me on many things. I purchased several different types of Chardonney and tried them. I now know what to look for when purchasing a superb wine.

You won’t believe the selection ! Isles and isles of liquor, wine & beer. They fill growlers. Huge selection and great friendly staff. Bobbie is very friendly and polite I will be back since she gives excellent service !

Grand opening today! Very nice spacious and handsome looking store! Nice, well lit and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff! They had problems getting the growler fill station set up this morning but after 15 minutes or so. they finally got it figured out. During checkout the cashier I went to didn’t have enough cash to give me change, so I had to wait a bit for that as well.
So there are some minor kinks they need to workout, but overall great customer service. For my time they comp’ed the price for the growler bottle. and the cashier gave me Total Wine wine bottle opener, Riedel wine glasses and Total Wine store reusable bag and TODAY ONLY they are giving away either wine glasses or beer glasses!
