Zaran Sayre & Associates

Our rental unit was recently changed from an independent agent to Zaran Sayre and lasted approx. 2 months. The hand off and communication from Zaran was terrible from the beginning to end.
Granted the owner of the rental preferred to do their own maintenance, everything still had to go through middle man Zaran Sayre and getting updates between them from the owner was untimely. Maintenance requests submitted through their «portal» often times were cancelled before work was completed and no circle back to tenant was provided to follow up if work was in fact done or acceptable.
When the owner or Zaran ended business with each other; no communication was received. I found out because I couldn’t access the portal and only after contacting the office did I receive a voicemail.
While the front desk and the property manager was pleasant, when the property manager was unavailable I often had to speak with the «assistant». The assistant was anything but helpful or professional and was often combative in the communication and tone.
At the time I’m writing this review; I have never had any direct communication with the owner so now we are left without a contact or number for emergent issues until some letter arrives as described.
I can only hope that this agency learns how to treat tenants with decency and respect; and at minimum learn compassion. Nothing is more stressful then a flooded unit and no management team for support.
Unless this way of working and management changes I would rent and buy elsewhere. I know we will NOT be doing any business in the future with Zaran going forward.

Do NOT let your property be managed by this company! My husband and I rented our home to move across the country, and this company mismanaged our property in the most unprofessional manner. After our tenants caused a flooding disaster in our home, the rental agency did nothing to help, nor did they inform our tenants – per our instructions – that they would not get the damage deposit back when they moved out. Then, when the tenants were finally about to move out after causing yet another flooding issue, Zaran Sayre told us that they no longer wanted to represent our property the week before they moved out! Mind you, we had been paying the company for a year to do exactly that, and at the last minute they decided to leave us in the lurch. I would NEVER use this company again, and warn you against serious unprofessionalism and incompetence.

We were reluctant to have anyone other than ourselves manage our «other property.» It was our labor of love but time wouldn’t allow us to manage it properly. A friend recommended Zaran Sayre & Associates and we are absolutely delighted. Any issues are fixed immediately with a minimum of expense. Any HOA conversations/​updates are handled through our ZS & A rep (Barbara) and it’s done quickly and efficiently and communicated back.
I’m so glad we decided to use these folks. Highly recommended.
