Ninas Cookies

We needed a cake for my MIL’s 80^th birthday and wanted it to be beautifully decorated and taste delicious. We had never ordered from Nina’s Cookies before and live out of the area, so I used Unilocal to find local bakeries and am so so so happy we went with Nina’s Cookies. The baker/​cake decorator, Rebecca, was so helpful and spent time with me on the phone explaining different options. This personalized attention helped put me at ease. We ordered a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting, with inside filling layers of raspberry and cannoli filling. The cake was perfectly moist. The buttercream frosting was the real deal, and supremely delicious (and not sickly sweet!!). The inside fillings were excellent, and though Rebecca was skeptical about our choice to use two different fillings, it worked really well! Our crowd has different taste preferences and this cake was a hit with everyone. The cake was gorgeous! Everyone oohed and aahed when we set it out. The roses were perfect and the writing was clean/​clear and not messy/​smudged (which I have experienced from other places in the past). I highly recommend Nina’s Cookies!!!

had their cupcakes for my birthday party! it was a big hit, everyone enjoyed them! the only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I only went there a few times and hadn’t had a lot on their menu so I’m not sure about a lot of cupcakes and cookies there that are could good or not. but I hope to go a lot more in the future! customer service is great too!

This is the only place I know that makes rainbow cookies perfectly. The cocoa butter cookies with white chocolate drizzled on them are a dream. Have you had their strawberry thumbprint cookies? They.are.delicious! They also did custom sugar cookies for my daughter’s birthday. Overall, I am pleased with everything that I have had from there. Adequate parking, decent part of town, reasonable business hours, a little pricey but tastes way better than other local bakeries (I’m looking at YOU, La Fiorentina).
My only complaints are that they expanded into the next building over and it is occupied by an awkward coffee/​tea shop. When I went in to pick up cookies, there were random people just sitting there, not eating or drinking, just awkward. Not quite the dainty little cookie experience I had in the past. Also, they do not seem to refrigerate their cookies, they keep them in plastic storage bins. Which is fine, but during the hot summer months, the cookies are served lukewarm and Nina’s cookies IMO are best served cold.

I wish I could give this place more stars. I ordered a custom cake and got a work of art that surpassed all expectations. Suzanne is a truly talented artist and the cake was delicious to boot! All on very short notice (sorry!). Kind staff, talented, accommodating. The birthday girl was thrilled. This place is truly one of those rare gems that you shouldn’t overlook. Go with Nina’s. You won’t be disappointed.

they are now making RYE Bread from scratch. I ask if they had any, they said it was in the back. They were baked that morning and still WARM.
We did not eat the bread until over an hour later. And it was still WARM.
The crust was amazing. The bread had a really great color and it tasted sooooooo gooood.
Could have eaten the whole bread. But show some patience to have some for dinner.

By far the best Italian cookies in the area!!! Their sugar cookies are delicious as well and truly a work of art. Highly recommended!!!
