My wife and I have had quite a few massages here and have never been disappointed. The prices are very reasonable and the massage excellent. We will definitely be coming back.

Owner called me back quickly and made special appointments on Sunday to accommodate us from out of town. Served us rose water in the garden. Very beautiful place. We felt special. Massage therapists customized our massages according to our preferences and I loved the papaya facial mask.

I’ve been here once so far and I would definitely go back. The place is very peaceful and clean. Melissa was very nice and accommodating. The massage was probably one of the best I’ve ever had!

My boyfriend and I received a couples massage and they were exceptional. Very peaceful and calming location in Felton. Lovely seating/​waiting areas outside. The massage and energy work that was done on me worked wonders. I felt a weight lifted off of me afterwards-​seriously! We felt completely comfortable and will definitely be returning!

Used our groupon gifts we got for christmas some months back. First time here. Definitely different experience since its at a persons home where they converted the back into a spa, but overall the massages are great, its clean, and great service. I knocked off one star because while I waited in the same large room for one full hour while I waited for my fiancée massage, I felt like i couldn’t do anything because any movement made sound and I didn’t want to disrupt his massage. It was too cold to go outside so I was stuck inside trying not to make any noise.

I had an amazing massage today. Kirsten made me very comfortable and addressed all of my pain issues. I felt so relaxed after. The prices are very reasonable too and I was told about their monthly memberships as well. This is my go to place for massages from now on.

Tried different packages. Both ladies are nice professional therapists. The spa is in redwoods with flowers around (and a cute dog you can pet!), very relaxing. Best massages I’ve ever had in years, they really relax your muscles and joints. I’ve been having shoulder and neck pain from working with computers too long, one massage can relieve the pain for a couple of weeks, and dramatically improve sleep quality. This kind of quality is rare in business nowadays, don’t miss out.

Melissa was graciously able to accommodate my request for 2 anniversary massages on a Sunday when she is normally closed. It was a very relaxing experience. We added the three food facial which felt amazing. Melissa and the other massage therapist were both very sweet. Good prices and products. We are really into the décor which included chakras, ohms, buddhas, quotes, and beautiful tile work. We will be back!
We even got a recommendation for lunch in the area which was delicious!!! Thanks for a wonderful Sunday.

Melissa is AWESOME! First of all, she is located at a location that is sooo relaxing and serene that you can’t help but fall right on to her beds. My gf and I had facials and they were sooo great that both of our faces were glowing for days.

Such an amazing experience with Melissa! You drive into the woods, it looks like you are going to someone’s home, until you come to an opening in the woods and then you see it! Very peaceful, tranquil and just yummy. I received a massage and facial =amazing! The entire experience is wonderful and I think the best part is she does food facials/​masks!!! Seriously fabulous! Melissa is an amazing healer. I went here for the first time and now I am hooked! From the beginning, the experience is peaceful and serene, if you have a morning massage you get the smells of the morning fog and the redwoods. The studio is situated in the mountains and you truly feel like you are on a retreat, not just «getting a massage».
Melissa’s awareness during the massage is phenomenal. She is very good at finding the tension points and working the knots out of the muscles. I was able to walk away from the experience feeling very relaxed and ready to take on the rest of my day!

Went with my husband for a couples massage. He had the services of Melissa while I had a another on call therapist. This place is so cute and tucked away, with a very serene vibe. Not a day spa, but a place you actually go to and let Melissa take care of you! Loved that we could have our service dog in the large cabin room with us.(she is well behaved and just snored on the floor while we were tended to).My husband was quite happy with his entire service of 90 minutes and left feeling relaxed and a few of those nasty tight muscles worked out. I had a 60 minute massage then read my book by the fireplace while he was finishing up his time. Cozy with lots of tapestry and rugs strewn about, light filtering in from the bamboo shaded windows, relaxing music played the entire time! aahhhhhh. yes, somewhat Zen like, somewhat a throwback to a calmer time. santa cruzs style…
Things to work on or improve? The glaring overhead track lighting that could be diffused a bit more (yes, they use a smoothing mask over your eyes when laying on your back but it was not put on early enough. Maybe l ight the candles even in daylight? My therapist started out with cold hands which was a bit unnerving… the massage table was heated but her technique left lots of sheets/​blankets flapping which caused it to be drafty… I would rate her about a 5 – 6 nothing memorable or distinctive. Next time I’m going alone and getting Melissa! (heh it was his birthday so he deserved the best!)
You should try this place out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. We weren’t
I did not use a groupon, could have… but I know that most places limit how many of those they can afford to accommodate in a week and I wanted specif appt date and time. I called only 2 days in advance and got a Sat appt at the time that worked for us.

Humpty Dumpty (me) was put back together again by Melissa @ Balance spa. I am an RN and was thoroughly physically broken from a) work b) pushing myself physically to work out. I seriously hurt. So, I enter this wonderful, soothing, artful oasis and was treated very professionally. Her understanding of anatomy, physiology coupled with intuition is beautiful and worked so well. I am able to function well again.
I cannot recommend Balance highly enough! Thank you so much!

Yesterday my whole shoulder was in pain and I learned that there was an awesome special at my local spa, Balance Studio. Luckily, Melissa was able to fit me in today and I got wonderful, healing massage! I came in with a giant knot in my shoulder blade and it «popped» and moved each time Melissa worked on it, but by the end of our session, the knot was worked out and by the time I left, I was no longer in pain! And here I thought it might turn out to be a rotator cuff issue that would last for weeks! I am so glad I called Melissa. I also love the atmosphere of the spa; it is peaceful and beautifully unique, with such a country feel. I highly recommend you treat yourself to a massage or a whole spa day and place yourself in her capable hands!

I can’t wait to go again! Don’t be fooled, this place is a hidden gem. We first checked this place out for a spa day for a friend’s Bachelorette party and from the very first phone call we were impressed by the friendliness, willingness to help and work with us.
After a beautiful drive there we walk through the gates and I am instantly impressed. I love the laid back vibe, the chalk messages telling you to stop and breathe to the bubbles at the waiting area table!
That was just the beginning, they didn’t pull out any stop for us. I was impressed by the room we got to use which was huge! We had the whole place to our selves the entire day! I just wish it had been cooler so we could have used the hot tub but all and all it was a perfect day for a great outing. :) Our massages were amazing, the mother and daughter doing our nails were a blast and just an over all great group of people.

I had the most awesome massage by Melissa last week and I can’t stop talking about it!
She is so sweet and fun to be around! Her studio is so peaceful and relaxing: I just didn’t want to leave!
