If you’re going to this place because of quality experience in the past, don’t waste your time. Bob was a stand up guy with fair prices and good, dry and well maintained wood. Whoever this new guy is, just doesn’t get it. I’d rather pay the extra money to plug in a heater then get ripped off and put money into this chumps pocket…

Wow. Very sad to hear Bob sold this business. In prior years, paid $ 235 for a ½ cord of almond that was always good quality and delivered near los gatos for no extra charge. Bob was reliable and responsive. I called this week, got the new owner as she was driving. She said I’ll call you back. Never did. So next day, I left a message to please call. No return call. Next day, I call, to find out they are now charging $ 65 to deliver $ 235 of wood, approximately $ 1.50 per mile. Avoid.

Bob has sold this company and its now Cozywood. Quality wood still but service has gone down. Prices have gone up as well ¼ cord last week $ 95 today $ 125, 1⁄8 $ 50 last year this year $ 65. Still good but not like it was with Bob. Also beware my wood was wet on surface. Bob would not let that happen.

Called this place to get half a cord delivered. We were told it would be $ 250 for half a cord, then told it would be $ 50 to stack it… then we were charged $ 345?!? And given a card for a different business… needless to say, we won’t be back

Great spot. Good price and they have a ton of wood. Plenty of variety on the type of wood too. Highly recommended.

This place is great, once you find them. Just go down the street that says«san lorenzo lumber» and at the front of the gated area to the left side — is Bob’s Stop and Get. Very nice owner, quality wood. I bought a ¼ cord for $ 120 cash, picked up and the owner even helped me pick out good pieces and stack them into my station –wagon. He probably gave me more than ¼ cord cause he cared more about filling my car up to the top than trying to count out each cubic foot and charge me for the exact amount. Very good deal when I used to buy wood at the grocery store for $ 8 – 10 a box, which lasts maybe 2 nights and has 5 – 6 logs max. These logs last way longer and smell way better too. I will have enough wood to burn everyday this winter and maybe even more, a very good deal. He has a very good stockpile right now so go ahead and go grab you some wood. Or call them if you are interested in a delivery, cause they do those too. Call ahead just in case they are out on a delivery, they are very accommodating. Will buy from them again, and again, as long as they are still around.

Bob is the nicest guy. He always brings me the best dry almond wood. It burns perfectly in my wood stove all Winter. Bob even drove a load of wood out to my Watsonville beach house during a major flood on beach road. That did not stop him. Great prices too.
