Jordan is the best acupuncturist I have ever been seen! After years of acupuncture for low immune function Jordan has helped cure this problem for me. I am so thankful we have such a wonderful clinic right here in Felton. I haven’t seen any of the other practitioners at the office, but friends of mine have said they are excellent as well. If you are considering acupuncture treatment look no further then Felton Community Acupuncture!

I have been going to Felton Community Acupuncture since the Fall of 2009. It is about a 15 minute drive from my house in Santa Cruz and well worth the drive. Mostly I have seen Petra, who is very insightful and compassionate. She treats you holistically, physically, emotionally, etc. and remembers your previous chief complaints and looks at the relationship between this and the weather, stress in your life, etc. to figure out the best treatment approach. I do like the community acupuncture approach with everyone in the same room. I didn’t know at first if I would but it is nice to not be isolated as one often is during health treatments. I try to go at least twice a month for health maintenance and their sliding scale helps to facilitate this quite well. I have found that when I do acupuncture regularly, even if I don’t have an acute condition, I avoid GETTING sick. I went 1 ½ years without so much as a sniffle and when I missed about 6 weeks I found myself sick at the beginning of the school year(I’m a teacher). Please help support healthcare centers such as Felton Community Acupuncture. They’re doing a great service for the community.

I think this is the best thing to happen to Felton since the redwoods themselves. They not only treat patients on a sliding scale — $ 25 – 40 — but they actually treat patients with skill and dedication. Some examples: It doesn’t matter whether you see a male or female practitioner — if you’re there for menstrual issues, the men can discuss it competently without making you feel strange about it.(In my experience this is surprisingly rare even among otherwise really excellent health practitioners.) In fact one of them managed to joke with me about it in a way that not only was appropriate but actually made me laugh! A judicious but jovial sense of humor is no small asset when you’re working with someone who’s suffering. They’re sensitive to where I am emotionally when I go in. There have been times I’ve been in a lot of pain over something that happened in my life, and they will either talk to me about it or, if I need some space, just be quiet and let me have that. They actually pay attention to what’s happening with you beyond your chief complaint. I’ve gone in for menstrual issues and had someone ask, based on my records, if my stress level was feeling lower than in the past… I went in for a cold and someone noticed a relatively minor foot injury from a week before, and afterward I could not only breathe much more easily but could walk without pain for the first time in days. And here’s going above and beyond: I was sick during the rainy season and had a hard time getting out of the house in the storms and one of the practitioners actually offered to stop by my home and drop off my herbs. I’m not exactly a marathon drive from the clinic but I’m not right there in town either; they will literally go out of their way to help. This is the place to go, hands down!
