If this is your closest B&M then by all means this place will serve you well. They have tournaments and other community events all the time which is commendable. However this place does come with a slew of issues if you plan on having them order products for you. There has been multiple times where I’ve requested they order a product for me only to call in a week later to find out that they have not been ordered yet. Requesting a discount for repeated negligence was met with disdain. BC Comix has also greatly scaled back its stock on comics and has taken a common route other small town hobby stores have and that’s catering to the Magic The Gathering crowd. This is not a detractor as it brings in a huge crowd consistently and if you’re a MTG player then this will fit your bill. It’s vitally important to support your local B&M’s and this place is certainly included in that. However if you’re located closer to Gamer Sanctuary or Comic Relief, you may find a better level of service at those locations, especially if you’re more interested in anything outside of MTG.

BC Comix has been rocking some amazing Magic the Gathering tournaments in the past year including one of the few locations in Michigan to host Star City Games Qualifiers tournaments. The staff is amazingly helpful, polite and professional. When this place is a family run business it really shows. I think the biggest thing that stands out to me as a customer of BC Comicx over the last two years is how quickly they have grown in the magic community compared to other stores in SE Michgain who are located in much more highly populated areas. In short, because BC does such a great professional job people are willing to dive 1hr plus to play cards. Other than having one of the largest selections of Magic the Gathering singles in Michigan BC also carries a very large supply of miniature gaming supplies and without fail when I am in the shop someone is always running a Pathfinder game. A note to comic book fans. BC has greatly scaled back it’s comic collection to current issues and graphic novels and trade backs.
