Our waitress was Alex, she was very helpful, fun, and super nice! The food was great, as per usual!

Delicious! Appetizer I love the beef nachos with the chips on the side… dinner, toquitos, fish taco, and the massive chimichanga are awesome! Huge portions. You’ll stink like a burrito when leaving but totally worth it. Desert they’ve got fried cheesecake. Yum!

Don’t even bother trying to go here on Cinco Di Mayo. It’s overly crowded every day. And if you park in the wrong spot, your car will be towed away by the territorial hair salon people! Their food is ok, nothing spectacular and the service the same. We only go here because there’s not another Mexican restaurant that we know of nearby. We do love to get the fajita for two and a couple margaritas. Nothing compared to «Mexicallis Alley» in Howell!

I really love this place and its atmosphere! We went for Cinco de Mayo and it was busy as expected and had a great time! I ordered the wet burrito and made sure to say wet and of course it comes back without the sauce over it so I ask if they can make it a wet burrito. THey basically take it back to the kitchen and pour sauce over it… not exactly what I was looking for. The sauce tastes so much different(better) when it is baked on rather than just raw pour. Ugh! I didn’t exactly want to wait to eat any longer than I had to. THe other two wet burritos(small ones) came out great! And I tried their fish and chips for the first time… oh my goodness where they good! FIsh and chips at a Mexican place? who would have thought?! Anyhow, fair warning… they did not smell that good to begin with because they had the fishiest smell(not for the squeamish) I have ever smelled from a fish and chips and I eat them often… I almost thought they were bad. Much to my surprise they were awesome… great batter flavor(almost a buttery flavor) and consistency and the fish was nice and fluffy. and actually not fishy at all. I am glad I tried this here and will be back for the fish for sure since they can’t seem to get the wet burrito(no cheese) down… this wasn’t the first time. OH well. it was a great night!

The Cadillac margaritas are delicious. The shredded beef burrito especial is my favorite, get it wet with the enchilada sauce and cheese topping. Great rice. I’ve always had good service, and the atmosphere is pretty fun. My go-to for Mexican food in the area.

Cantina is the key word for Sagebrush… the bar is a big focus and is always packed! The drinks are awesome, I love their melon margarita with midori! The food is great but not what I would call authentic mexican(no street tacos here!) But they do the tex-mex/bar food style quite well, with large portions as others have noted. We’ve gotten fajitas, the taco salad, the taquitos, and the fish taco(love the slaw on that!) and they have all been very good! The salsa they serve with the chips is spicy! Ultimately, I choose this place when I am in the mood for margaritas with some food on the side, but that’s not a bad thing!

Spot on for what Michiganders think of as Mexican. Good portions and fun vibe. Been a few times now and the food has been consistent. Loved the Chimichanga and the enchiladas the were hearty. The meal comes with a soup, salad or cup of chili and the chips of course. Salsa is kinda vanilla, but okay. Ample sized drinks and good waitresses each time I’ve been. Would love to see some more authentic Mexican food but I’ll be back

I was working in Flint, and staying in Fenton, when we(the team) visited Sagebrush. Surprisingly large portions of food at a reasonable price. I had the steak tacos on multiple occasions. The place was packed every time we visited, but the staff was friendly and accommodating. Tender meat wrapped in soft tortillas seasoned with something sexy. Though I would not call this an authentic Mexican restaurant, the food is certainly delectable. The Fried ice-cream is a complex celebration in your mouth. Pair it with Dos Equis and create an interesting experience! Cheers!

Great food, portions are huge! Service is always terrific. There are always two managers on the floor every time we go, keeping things moving and they stop by our table and ask how our experience was. You can tell everyone is proud to work there! Usually there is a wait but it is so worth it!

My favorite place to get Mexican food. The nacho is giant! Seriously 3 people could eat it or 8 people as an appetizer. It’s so amazing. The margaritas are great as well. Our server was super cute and friendly. Got sat right away and we had 8 people with us. All around great experience

Sagebrush used to be better than what I experienced yesterday and the time before that ! Last time; ordered fajitas; they serve the cheese, lettuce, pico ETC on an extra plate, well I had hardly NO cheese so I asked for more because I explained«there’s hardly no cheese here, I’m not asking for extra but this is a little ridiculous» so I got more cheese and THEYCHARGEDMEFORIT!!! Excuse me NO I didn’t ask for extra I asked for a decent amount for a plate of fajitas for two people. Manager had to come over and explain that’s their policy, if the customer asks for something they have to ring it in and charge us for it ! ok I understand if I had gotten a decent amount of cheese and wanted way more, but all I wanted was enough for two people to use . Last night ordered a queso appetizer and it was tipped over missing about 1⁄3 of the cheese … This was $ 7, give me my cheese !!! The waitresses didn’t even care when I addressed it !! So last night knowing their policies I was very careful to word what I wanted; a chicken fajita, NO lettuce no beans, substitute pico for enchilada sauce, I specifically asked if I could substitute pico for enchilada sauce and was told YES! And then my bill had an extra $ 1.25 added to it. Whatever it came out of her tip. Get your crap together sagebrush. You have nothing on Tia Heltias.

Hmmmmm. How to start. First this is not real Mexican and hardly even what I would call passable Tex-Mex. For background I lived in Colorado for fifteen years and California for twelve so I know a thing or two about Mexican food. Frankly the food here is reheated or steamer table quality at best. I suggest trying Rick Bayless’s restaurant Frontera Grill or The Boarder Grill in Santa Monica if you want a decent frame of reference to what good Mexican food can be. Now to the specifics. The place is crowded and noisy. The huge bar dominates and it is clear the food is best experienced after a couple of drinks. The chips and salsa are under inspired and serve only to fill you up. I ordered the chili rellano and tostada combo. The egg wash and batter were heavy and greasy. The beef tostada was greasy as well and a large stream of oil dripped down my hand as i ate. Over all the flavors were over cooked and muddy like everything had been in the warmer too long. The rice was dry and the beans dry. Alas they suffered the same steam warmer fate as the beef. It is sad to think that people have not traveled enough to know how good Mexican can really be. Unfortunately I see this a lot in the Fenton area. I am sure my review won’t dissuade the majority of folks from eating here. Those of you with high standards however may be saved s subpar dining experience

This place is always packed. There’s a reason for that– it’s delicious! I had the shrimp fajita and it’s so much food and so delicious I’ll be getting it again. Last time I ordered the Mexican pizza which was also incredible. Make reservations if you can. Otherwise you could be waiting 45 mins or so.

A friend and I sat at the bar for a few drinks. The bar was not full of people and it still took a while to get our drinks. When I was attempting to close my drink tab out, I was met with a rude and unprofessional attitude of a bartender named Paige. I have been a customer of the Sagebrush Cantina since 2008 and I have never encounter an employee who treated me so disrespectfully. This incident ensures that I will not be returning soon.

Long wait for a table, but totally worth it. The chimichangas and wet burritoes are the best. Good bang for your buck, even though it’s not the cheapest Mexican food around. I’ve had cheaper and I’ve had much worse. You get what you pay for. The beer selection is nice, too. They carry Dos Equiis, another bonus. The service is pretty slow, especially on weekends. Service is hit or miss, but I can’t complain because the food is never anything less than sublime.

The only downside for this restaurant is that you have to get there by 5 on the weekends, or you will have to wait for a table. The place is very popular. They have a good variety of food, and the prices are reasonable. I have not had anything I did not like, but I would have to say my favorite would be the chicken fajitas for two! Definitely worth checking out.

Quick stop in for something sweet and an appetizer and just blown away at the quality and quantity, we got some left overs to boot! Love Sagebrush, will be back!

One of my favorite places to eat in Michigan. The prices are more than fair and the food always comes out quick. The super burrito is more than enough food for two.
