I went to see Dr. Cooney after filling came out and my tooth cracked. I will be totally honest here, I have never been a fan of going to the dentist, I had some bad experiences. I must say my experience with Dr. Cooney and his staff has been wonderful. His sister, who runs the office I believe, is so very nice, she helped set me at ease. Then Dr. Cooney backed it up by being very conscious of my comfort at all times and then did a great job of explaining everything to me and confirmed my understanding. I have been to the office twice now, once for the initial review of my immediate issue and then to have it fixed and to give me a thorough review. After the review he once again did a great job of telling me what he found and gave me all my options. I can say I have found my new dentist.

I disagree with the person giving a poor review of Dr. Cooney’s office as this one was a clean as they get.
I broke a molar over the weekend but my regular dentist could not see me until Friday with another visit sometime the following week. I checked my insurance site where I found Dr. Cooney was close-​by. I called and was told he could examine my tooth that afternoon (what? no wait?). Since I had to leave town soon, he adjusted his schedule and stayed past 5pm to put on a temporary crown — talk about fast service & no pain.

I abhor stepping foot into a dentist office, and usually avoid it at all cost. But I spent my weekend in pain that was quickly growing in intensity, and I found myself in tears by Monday morning. I called Dr. Cooney’s office and was offered an emergency appointment as soon as I could get there, and while they do ask for payment upfront, which is understandable, it was affordable and the second I was done filling out paperwork, I was offered pain relief and a shot to make the rest of the appointment more comfortable. Dr. Cooney was incredibly kind and made sure I was out of pain before getting an x ray. Before I left his office, I was no longer in tears, and on my way with my prescription and an appointment for Friday where he’ll be working with me since my new insurance doesn’t start till August. I deal with doctors and dentist offices on a daily basis and I was more than impressed by not only his bedside manner, but also that of his sweet assistant. I’m not sure about the other comment from here, but I’m a stickler for cleanliness, and manners… His office was beautiful and Dr. Cooney was an absolute doll! Makes me want to keep going after my insurance kicks in to take care of any other unaddressed issues.
