A staple to my families fall circuit. Lots to see and lots to do. The rural setting put you directly in the mood this festive time. Everything is made at the mill. From the parking your nostrils are filled with an effervescing smell of spicy doughnuts. Like a cartoon you are allured to the doughnuts and cider. They have great homemade wines as well.

Our daughter’s wedding was held at the Lazy J in Milford and we ordered 200 caramel apples as wedding favors. These were the best apples ever. The best thing is they were coated that day so everything was extremely fresh. If you’re ordering, put it in a few weeks ahead of time if you can. The best wedding favors ever. Definitely recommend them.

I do love Spicers! It’s a nice experience and they have great food and beverages. They also have a beautiful apple orchard with a gazebo and they have corn mazes in the fall. The only thing I don’t care for is the huge crowds. I would recommend visiting this place during their less busy hours, though I’m not sure when that is!

What a wonderful place to go for a corn maze and pumpkin picking. The prices seemed reasonable for the experience. It was spread out so it did not seem over my crowded even with vehicles filling the overflow lots. We received donuts and cider with the completion of the corn maze that were excellent. This treat made the endless search for the #9 clue worth it! We walked through the Winery, but that was crowed and busy so we did not stay very long, and proceeded over to the watch how the cider was made. It was neat to see how an apple can be turned to cider in a matter of seconds. This was a fun group date, and seemed perfect for a family looking to get out of the house before winter! We will be back, but hopefully next year we can make it to pick our own apples!

Great wine and hard apple cider! The market is full of great deserts, foods, and of course cider! Definitely come check it out! Do the wine tasting and bring a few home with you!

I was hoping to go apple picking but it seems like it’s out of season already! That was a little disappointing but the place as a whole was cute and would be great to take a family or little kids! Not too much to do on a weekday but the weekends have a hayride and boast other fun activities. They have a little petting zoo, a corn pool, a little pumpkin patch, corn maze, and a playground. The store offers so many goodies but my takeaway was apple cider, popcorn and cinnamon donuts, SOYUMMY! Would go back just for that and to go to try some of their wine!

Amazing experience here picking raspberries near the end of summer. There’s a tractor that takes you on a fun 5 minute hayride to the field, where acres of apple trees and berry plants await. The paths are well maintained and berries are easy to find and get to. If you don’t want to pick fruit yourself, they also have a small store with fresh produce and donuts for sale. Fantastic getaway for an afternoon, in my opinion!

The store side has your standard cider mill favorites. You pay as you leave. Be sure the cashier knows what you have because we were charged for a dozen doughnuts when we actually only had a bag of six spiced doughnuts and a bag with only 2 plain doughnuts. Pay attention! We also visited the winery. We were told this is a new addition to the cider mill. I would make these suggestions to whomever runs this area: 1– Do not limit the tastings to 2 per person. I only bought 3 bottles of wine(2 varieties) because that is all I was allowed to taste. I, like most people are only going to purchase wine that they have tasted. The sale you made would have been double or more had I tried other varieties. 2– When I paid for the wine I was asked to tip. I did, being put on the spot but that is NOT good practice. Had we eaten there, that may have been justified but the way that was done is not good practice. 3– You want to sell the tiny bottle of ice wine that costs more than twice as much as the standard size bottle? Then don’t charge for a sample. We were told a «wishy washy. it’s REALLY sweet» and so. no sale there. 4-The nicer wineries give you a glass with their logo on it,(only one glass per bottle paid for) but that is not offered here. Its a great promotional tool that should be implemented. **Bottom line. you can make your sample sizes smaller to accommodate for giving more samples… then you will sell more wine.

My brother came to visit for a family mini-staycation and since he left Michigan the one true thing he has missed is the beautiful apple orchards! I love orchards. I love cider. I love apples. And I love the crisp, cool air. Spicers did not disappoint. We started out in the building, the cinnamon donut smell was in the air! We quickly grabbed a half dozen donuts and paid for the u-pick bag of apples… The family stopped by the petting zoo to enjoy the fun, fat animals but considering we have our own goats… it definitely lost its touch of excitement :) we picked a peck of apples and enjoyed the beautiful stroll. We finished it up with a stop at the winery… and, unfortunately, we were not impressed. Everything was a little too sweet for my palate. But it could be for you! The building was beautiful and the people were friendly!

Nom Nom tastic eats here. I came here on a nice Sunday afternoon on my way back from Lansing. What a gorgeous day to hit a cider mill. This one is located not too far off the M59/23 intersection, so it’s easily accessible if you’re going to the outlet malls or Lansing etc… They had just about everything here. I really enjoyed the roasted corn on the cob action but didn’t see any sammiches, which would have been amazeballs! The cider was literally to die for, so plan to go right before croaking. Donuts= one word, EPIC. Two NOMZ!!! Up 4sure. So very life changing. We also spotted some pie that looked off the chisels and most def ridonkulous. Gary the pony ride guy was nice so if you’re there give him a holler and tell them I said they’re hella good. One more thing I feel I should address here. I was really thirsty when I arrived at the cider mill. After a short browse around the shop I was able to locate and pay for refrigerated cider and grab a couple tasting glasses, guess what? It was on point!!! Yes, it surly was :-()!! My wife turned to me and said«Hubby, this is BFR!» and I said«Yummy and Yummo it is, Wifey». «Only thing missing would be if they served brekie or better yet, brunch»! Where’s my GD endless Mimosas, jerks? «Then they would have all that and a bag of chips». Simply put this joint is scrumdiddlyumptious, gang, so check it out.

My fav Cidermill in the area! Scenery is gorgeous. Cider and doughnuts are delicious. Strawberry, apple, cherry and assorted berry picking! Lots of fun activities for little ones. And for adults :) spicer wine and hard cider tasting! Don’t miss it.

I visited Spicers yesterday afternoon and really enjoyed myself. We got there around 6:10pm and they close at 7pm. There were still a considerable amount of people there. The main building has all of the doughnuts, cider, honey, jam, and apples you could ever imagine. There weren’t a lot of employees around to help which was a little frustrating but not a deal breaker. With a half hour left, we stopped in the winery to try some samples. The«bartenders» were really nice and helpful! We each got two free samples and bought five glasses and one bottle total. The Chery Wine is amazing! I think I am going to have to back and buy more. My friends and I sat on the patio and watched the sunset, such a beautiful sight to see. The winery staff even let us hang around until 7:30pm so we could enjoy our evening. Much appreciated!

A few friends and I went during raspberry season and the raspberries were plenty abundant! It was very easy getting to the field(a tractor came and picked us up) and getting a basketful of raspberries was a lot of fun and quite cheap($ 5.50). Would highly recommend bringing friends and family to Spicer Orchards for a fun afternoon activity!

Best orchard in the Flint area. Tons to do for kids and their donuts are delicious. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because they are soooooo bust sometimes and it can be a bit stressful.

we had such a wonderful afternoon at spicer’s. we started with some wine and cider tastings. it’s 2 free tastings and $ 5 for 7 tastings. the samplings are generous. if you buy 3 bottles of wine or cider the tastings are free. we bought some cider and wine by the glass to enjoy on the patio that overlooks a small farm. they have goats, mini ponies, donkeys, rabbits and chickens for the kids to feed. there’s a market with some fresh produce and jams as well as hershey ice cream and the best donuts ever… seriously the cinnamon donuts are amazing. then we had a great time picking raspberries. you pay by the quart before going out to the field. you can walk to the orchard or take a hay ride. it was great fun! we can’t wait to go back. make sure to try the reserve apple cider :)

Great cider, great doughnuts, pick your own, a cute little store and stuff for the kids… Awesome! For the adults, a tasting room for wine and hard cider. 6FREE tastes most of it is great for MI. Get a growler of hard cider and keep refilling it every visit, we are!

Always a great time. This year alone we’ve already done strawberry, blueberry and raspberry picking. We’ll probably go back for apples and another pick of late raspberries. I love orchards that simply take you out to the fields and drop you off to pick. When you are done they pick you back up and you pay for what you have. Pretty simple. There are a few orchards that have an entry fee which always deters me. We are already doing the work. I don’t think I should have to pay to pick what I’m going to pay for anyway. Anywho… Fresh donuts, yum. Cider, check. Cool playground with zip line and corn barn, pirate ship to climb on and giant trikes. Fun for everyone. Super nice staff. Always happy to answer questions and give directions, ideas, info. I have really come to like this place. I could drive 30−40minutes in many directions and hit a farm orchard but I would choose them. Give it a go!

This place is by far my favorite Cider Mill. I have been to many orchards and some I wish I hadn’t. All of them make donuts but not all of them have good donuts. Spicers does though. They have great Cider, Donuts and even Cider Slushes which are amazing. Now the thing that really caught my attention was that this Mill had a Winery. Of course I have to stop in everytime I’m there. And the Winery is open all year around so you can always buy your wine here. So if you’re not into washing that donut down with Cider you can have some Wine or Hard Cider instead. In the Winery area you can go and try up to six samples and see what you like. Then you can sit down and relax at the bar or outside on the patio. Or you can buy a bottle to take home. In the fall they have a pumpkin patch and also a corn maze to have fun in. There is a children’s area for when the kids need to run off all the sugar and they have cute animals to feed if that’s more your thing. They are open year around with lots of fruits to pick and of course Apples to pick in the fall. If your not into doing all that work just head into the market where you can buy the already picked fruits. They have pies, spices, breads… Everything. If you have not visited Spicers yet you need to! In the fall they are always packed! And don’t forget to stop by and visit the bees and buy some great local honey!

While on a trip to Michigan, I came across this cute little place where the apple trees were full of red ripe gala and super sweet honey crisp apples! I stopped in to find quite a bit of people shopping in their farm store and many outside picking apples with their children. I totally recommend to visit this place when near. Great for the whole family! I noticed, they are not only famous for all their fruit and veggies but inside, you can’t help to try their special flavored donuts! Yes I said donuts! This farm truly have all the fruits and veggies when in season. From grapes to squash and even a kettle popcorn maker outside! I loved this place and wish we had a farm like this in Florida.
