I went to this bar after a benefit in Valley Park. Our group which was probably 50 people spent a ton of money. At the end of the night my husband & I asked the waitress Christine if she would call us a cab. She responded with«you want me to call, why can’t you do it yourself? I don’t have time I have to close the bar». She actually acted like she was insulted that I asked. I then proceeded to tell her that she could be held liable if I was to leave & hurt someone with my vehicle. She then told me she would call one for me but I had to look up a cab company because she doesn’t have time. I asked to speak with a manager & he said he had only been a manager for 3 months & he wasn’t sure how to handle the situation. At that time the bartender starting smarting off to me & the so called manager told her to stop. This place is ridiculous!

Been here many time but have never left a review for some reason. We live nearby so we stop for a quick drink. The bar itself isn’t anything special, actually pretty generic. With that said there are always people here, the staff is always nice and they have good bar food. Their pizza is my fav.

A very casual neighborhood bar/pub located in a strip mall next to an Imo’s, you have to take this place for what it is. It is not a trendy, upscale«gastropub», or the coziest neighborhood bar I’ve ever been into. But, it IS a good spot, close by to home, where we always have a very good, affordable meal. We even take our kids there early on Friday evenings, or, sometimes, on Sunday evenings when they have a great pizza special. Our usuals are the wings(great), pizza(kids) burger and BLT(my husband) and steak dinner(me). Fair prices on beer and cocktails. Great for when we want a quality pub meal close to home.

Fun place to go to. On the weekends they have great food and drink specials! My favorite was the chicken wraps! The servers are very pleasant and get to your order right away. Would highly recommend!

Went here for happy hour on a recent visit to town with some friends that I don’t get to see often. And two of my friends had their parents come down to say hi and spend time with us, so it was super fun. There was probably 10 – 12 of us at one point and we all had a blast! The server was able to keep up with us all evening. Pretty decent bar & grill fare. We ordered a plethora of appetizers, chips, wings, nachos, potato skins(which were really good), and drinks flowed all evening. It was a fun night! I hope to come back next time I’m in town.

We are weekly customers. How can you go wrong with their daily specials like hamburger and fries for $ 5.00 were not talking a small burger here either. On Sundays a large pizza for 5.00. Great service too.

Love the pizza! Close to home so we fall back on it when we don’t want to cook. The problem is, dining in is awful, it’s always too bright and there’s no music on ever. The service is okay-but doesn’t make up for the atmosphere. Then when we do carry out, our orders are always wrong so our 15 minute to go pizza takes 30 – 45. No, it’s not the end of the world, but rather annoying. Shouldn’t be hard ringing in a large pepperoni pizza… or maybe it is.

Nice, low-key neighborhood bar. I come here very often for lunch with colleagues or after work on my way home. The wings are awesome and their burger is solid. My wife LOVES their funnel-cake fries and makes special trips solely for a beer and dessert. Staff is usually very friendly and attentive. Small place, but great food and atmosphere to wind down.

I went late one night before a flight. The bar was certainly not full, but the regulars were in enjoying the game. There are specials all the time. They had a great special on pizza, but I wasn’t in the mood at the time. I got the french dip and it was great. Not the best I’ve ever had. The salads are huge — my friend had one. Great specials on beer. I got a pitch of something I would have paid for a pint in my hometown. I would recommend this place for the warm environment, prompt and friendly service, and great location.

Solid choice for lunch in the area. It does suck that outdoor seating has turned into the smoking section in most places. I like to eat outside too without having a side of second hand smoke with my lunch. Had a fish sandwich and chips. Huge piece of fish on an even bigger piece of french bread, with only american cheese on it. Not sure if the menu said cheese, if i had known it was American I would have asked them to omit. American and Provel are not really cheese in my book. Chips were served warm and seasoned and as usual I ate too many and couldn’t finish my sandwich. We were helped by one of the owners and she was very nice. Will definitely return because this is one of the favorite lunch spots of husbands new coworkers.

Note: there appear to be two listings for this place. Lunch with colleagues a d the wife joined us also. We sat outside and were smoke –free for a while. Sadly, that changed but it didn’t diminish the quality of my lunch. I went with the owner’s recommendation of the buffalo chicken sandwich. Perfectly cooked version of a fresh chicken breast. Not excessively breaded nor sauced but enough there to let you know that it is a buffalo –style preparation. The side salad was also very fresh with a good balsamic dressing served on the side.

We came for a drink, but really liked the food. We keep coming back for the food. Waitresses are great. Happy hour prices are great on drinks and appetizers and there are daily food specials. We go out to lots of places but this seems to be the only place where we don’t get a shock when the bill comes.

We were moving to the area and were looking for a cool new hang one Saturday night after 8PM. We walked in, but weren’t greeted by anyone, so we seated ourselves. After a bit a friendly waitress came over. We asked if they had a fairly popular locally made«microbrew» on tap. They had it, although she didn’t know which brew. She offered to check, but we went ahead and ordered. The beers took a little bit to come. It appeared she didn’t use a tray in this small bar. She brought one drink to the table next to us and assured us she’d be back with our beers, which she did. When the beers came, we ordered the pretzel with cheese bites, as I was hoping it would be a low heartburn order. When they came very quickly, they were hot and tasty, although they appeared to have been fried(which was a disappointment). The cheese sauce tasted like the standard out of the can nacho blend. The waitress was friendly and asked what we thought when she promptly collected our basket. We tried to be polite and she said they put some sort of butter/oil on them. She also mentioned she hadn’t tasted much of the food.(I was impressed they sported a veggie club on the menu, but a couple other healthy/non-meat options other than salad would have been even better.) As far as hangs go, the décor was tastefully done, although the bathroom floor in the hard to reach places could have used a little love. The waitress was friendly, but the nearly $ 17 bill for two beers and pretzel bites was a bit much for the area. I doubt we’ll be returning back, as we can drive to Kirkwood for those prices with better atmosphere.

Pizza was excellent. Obviously if you don’t like the pizza, you are not from the area, it’s thin crust and with lots of cheese, perfect. Service is great, friendly staff. Yes, has a lot of locals, but if you go more than once, you are a local and you will be remembered. That’s how it works. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because nothing is perfect, otherwise, try it out and see for yourself. You will have good service, you will have good food and drinks, and you will have a good time. What else would you like?

This place was filled with locals. It feels more like an elk’s lodge than a restaurant. One large room scattered with tables and a large bar on one side. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was average to below average. The pretzel bites were ok… nothing special. The Chef salad was the same. The pizza was underwhelming. The crust seemed like cheap cardboard and the cheese was waxy and unflavorful.

So… it doesn’t have that same dive bar charm as it’s Benton Park brother, but it’s a nice little neighborhood bar. Actually, this place is exactly what you would expect… the suburban clone of it’s dirty older counterpart. So, it’s newer, cleaner, and the staff is more attentive and friendly. However, what you gain in cleanliness, you kind of lose in neighborhood charm. You don’t have the same regulars and the same«everyone knows your name» feeling that you get in Benton Park. Now that I have sufficiently compared the two… I’ll tell you what I like about this one. They have really great food. I mean, really good pub food. Also, if you are out with people who want pub food but say, you need to fit into a bridesmaid’s dress in a month…(not that I am talking about anyone particular) they have some healthier options too: salads, grilled chicken, etc. Also, it has a smoking and a non-smoking side. I always appreciate non-smoking bars the next morning when I don’t have to throw my pillow out and wash my hair 6 times. However, my favorite, Tuesday Night Trivia. Show up early to guarantee you get a table though, it can tend to get packed, especially in the summer months. I think they have a Nascar food and drink special as well, but not really being a fan, I am not totally sure on this one. Check out the website for their whole schedule.
