I walked in after lunch hour and they had half a dozen people. I had the special, best $ 7.50 I’ve spent. There was pork steak, creek fries and green beans. The creek fries are cabbage, onion, potatoes and bacon. The veggies were so delish I almost asked for seconds, as it was I wasn’t able to finish my pork steak. Best home cooking I’ve had in years. Service was friendly and my plate was ready in under a minute. As if by magic, it was still the perfect temperature. By the way, they are under Eastern time zone. I was recommended to come back on Tuesday when they have their fried chicken plate on special. After finishing up, I got to speak with a patron who was a marine vet in WWII, and Korea, that was a real treat.

Giving the service 4 stars but food was sub par. I order a chicken filet sandwich — was right off of the bbq grill out back! The menu has no descriptions of food so it’s kind of a Ross up as to what you’ll get!

Great food at a great price. The fried chicken and German fries are the best around. They also have amazing chicken hearts, but I can only eat a half order because you get so many. Very friendly atmosphere.

During the summer months, Rich Helming, former owner, grills some delicious BBQ ribs, chicken, and pork steak for Thursday evening meals. It is some of the best around.
