I fancy many sweets but I will own it, I am a pie person! The ancient Egyptians invented them and in St. Louis, the ladies at Pie Craft are doing it right with seasonal flavors and wonderful spirits that come across so effortlessly. Pie Craft primarily sells pie online(you e-mail and they deliver) and are also a mainstay at the Ferguson Farmers Market(«FFM»). From 8am to 12pm you will find them posted with their pies, cute outfits and a charming display. Pies are offered in several different sizes: mini petit, cupcake sized pie cups, 5″ and 9 «pies. Some of my favorite flavors overs the years have been: peach sangria, caramel apple, cinnamon cranberry and candied yam. They even have Vegan options, how stellar is that?! Be sure to get to the FFM in time because things do sell out. My only complaint is that at times I have noticed an odd aftertaste in the dough. I’ve given the petite’s for a take away gift after a dinner party and they were a big hit — totally cute and two awesome bites of love and thanks. I am ecstatic about this coming Saturday because there will be a Strawberry Fest at the FFM and you know what that means(strawberry filling pies, yay!). Pie Craft has relationships with local farmer, so everything is always fresh and in season. It’s like buying these pies is double community support! Check Pie Craft out online or roll out to the FFM and give them a go!
