This has been one of the worse experiences of my life. If you can’t trust this guy on the ground, YOUDEFINITELYCANNOTTRUSTHIMINTHEAIR. I originally made a reservation back on July 8th, yes I did have to cancel. I gave the required cancellation time frame and notification. I called a bunch of times leaving messages and I wanted to reschedule could never get anyone. Then a few days later I was able to get someone I was able to reschedule my flight for early August, it was a Wednesday. I told them I am specifically taking time off from work to do this, it’s not easy and I only have so much time in my time bank. This was a month in advance I made this new appointment. I called the day before my scheduled flight and wanted to confirm that we were scheduled, they were like scheduled for what? There was no mention at all they completely forgot to put me down on their schedule. I said it’s very hard for me to get off, couldn’t you some how fit me in? Nope, They gave me a few dates. I gave one date the person said if the pilot knows there are not enough people scheduled, he’ll pull a no show. I had picked that Friday since I had it off and thought they should of tried to squeeze me in, but she said if the pilot sees your the only one he’ll pull a no show. So certain days I’m picking she’s like if there’s not enough he’ll just not show up. I expressed its very hard for me to get certain days off and I only have so much time in my time bank at work. Also I’m coming from Jacksonville, So I called back that Saturday after that like I said I would. I told them I would have to call back to see what days I can get off, and said since the pilot pulls no shows tell me what dates will work for him and I’ll work around that. So I find out I am able to get off one of the days they listed, and I call back. The pilot picked up the phone. I said to him personally it’s very hard for me to get time off. I have so much time in my time bank. I try to save as much of my time in my time bank at work for the holidays because I have a brother with mental challenges that I don’t get to see a lot so I try to save some of that time for him. So it’s important the days I request off I use the hours wisely, it’s hard to get them off and once I loose them I loose them plus I have to drive 45 minutes to get to you, are you sure this is a good date and you won’t pull a no show. He assured me that was a great time for him absolutely. So with him assuring me like that I thought for sure they wouldn’t forget to put me on the schedule and knowing how hard it is for me to get time off they wouldn’t blow me off again. Well it’s September 11th. I show up on time. The people at the hanger have no idea why I am there. They say they have nothing to do with the hang gliding thing. They just rent the hanger out. They tell me to call the place. So i call the 1800 number three or four times no answer. I just get an answering machine telling me they are out flying and can’t come to the phone. So I’m thinking okay maybe they are flying and they are late bringing someone back, and the people who run the hanger said no, all the handgliders are in the hanger. there’s no one flying. So the answering machine is a liar. Nobody calls me back on my cell phone while I’m waiting. I wait for 45 minutes just hoping they are just running late because they wouldn’t do this to me AGAINBECAUSETHEYPROMISEDTHISDATEWOULDBEFINEANDTHEYKNEWWHAT I HADTODOTOGETTHEDAYOFFAGAINANDMORETIMEFROMMYTIMEBANK I’VELOSTANDGETBACKPLUSTHE45MINUTEDRIVE. This was my birthday present to myself. My birthday was July 6th. This was a bucket list thing for me I REALLY wanted to do this. Then as I leave the guys that run the hanger tell me this pilot lives in Chicago and it’s not his fault you know sometimes he can’t always make it here on the weekends if he doesn’t have enough flights booked it’s not worth the trip. I think this pilot should just stay in Chicago since he is too busy to run his business here like a professional and if he can’t commit to his schedule like promised in respect of his clients time as I tried to respect his time I did ask what days worked for him so I could work around HISSCHEDULE when I’m the client it’s suppose to be the other way around. I do that and I still get blown off like garbage. Then how can I trust him with my life in the air? I get home Finally about 10 I get a call offering to reschedule, hello this pilot has a reputation of blowing people off at a whim the appointment person said so and the people at the hanger said so. I can’t keep asking off from work using up all my hours. I’m more upset with my hours being used up more than the money for the flight, I’m upset about that too but my hours too because time is money and the time was mine that I lost. It’s not worth it to you to show up it’s not worth it to me loosing more hours. What a loser attitude and selfish.
