Seaside Park is a quaint little area on Amelia Island. We were staying in the local Hampton Inn so I thought we’d drive over and check out the beach. When I drive through the roundabout and entered into the park area I noticed that you can drive onto the actual beach if you have a 4×4. This worked out for us so we pulled our Expedition out into the sand and got a little closer to the water. There were other trucks on the beach and a few people laying out in the sun. It seems to be a very relaxing place to stay. There are a few things very close if you want to walk or ride a bike to get some lunch or dinner. I saw a seafood restaurant and a beach club. A bit further down the street is a soft serve ice cream stand that looks like it might be a hidden gem. Overall it seems to be a perfect place to kick back and spend a few days just doing nothing. Lose your smartphone and disappear!
