Worst prime rib ever. Fatty, overcooked and tough. I made the mistake of ordering a margarita. Looked like dirty dishwater and tasted even worse. Not going back. Yuck.

Cedars is a Ferndale standby, but I hadn’t been in quite some time, so it was time to stop in for lunch (usually I am just grabbing a drink in the bar with my friends!)
Yuuuuum. Good, filling, Americana.
My fish and chips were so good! Thick bready coating, huge hunks of fresh cod, a pile of steak fries, just perfect pub food! The service was snappy and smiley, the dining room is shabby but clean, and the breakfast plates going by looked great!
The hubs ordered crispy thin fries so that I could try both, and his French dip was stacked high with roast beef. I snuck a bite, of course… I think I will order it next time!

Meh.
The hash brown sandwich was really good (like a inside out baked potato but better).
My issue was the eggs just tasted… rubbery. Maybe I’m just bougey, but I can’t get over that when eating out where the eggs are supposed to be better than the ones I make!

Hands down best food in Ferndale. If you are within 20 miles of the place I would say make the trip and go visit. Make sure to try the «I love breakfast» burger.
The bar is a great place to watch the games and meet some good small town folk. Everyone is very welcoming and kind. Shuffle board and darts in the bar can make for a fun night as well.

If you aren’t a local don’t bother! We waited for 30 minutes for our food before we asked and were told they had to go orders that were put ahead of ours Yet two tables that were seated after us were already eating. Frustrated we left without eating. Gave it a try but will find a friendly place to spend my money.

Terrible experience all around! Best part was the food and that may be generous. Waitstaff were not attentive at all… asked for coffee and water, got coffee and water came 30 minutes later after asking two more times. Food came after about 35 minutes. Watched multiple other two tops that came in after us get served similar meals first!

Come to Ferndale to visit family every year. Came to Cedars for lunch. Claire, my Server was extremely friendly and exceeded my expectations. I had lunch. Clam chowder. pretty good.homemade and a huge Caesar salad. I also had a Caesar Bloody Mary. Everything came out on time, was tasty, priced right and it was a fun experience. I will be back!

I have been both times, was worth the drive from Bellingham.
Great and friendly service, food was a bit portion and priced right.
Seems like a great place for locals to meet, everyone seemed to know each other.

We love this place! The service is incredible and the breakfast is huge! The eggs Benedict are perfect! Also, we have three high energy kids and this place is family friendly.

Went to this place because of good reviews. Terrible service. Waited about 30 minutes before our waitress took our order. This was after watching many people who came in way after us get served. They had different waitress. Ours wouldn’t even see if we wanted coffee. We had to get our own menus. A clueless young busgirl forgot to bring juice we asked for. They didn’t bring what I ordered. Too bad, the food was decent but by that time there was such a distaste in our mouths. I think the good reviews were from locals — they got waited on as our waitress didn’t even look at our table. Disgusting. I don’t care how busy you are — have another waitress help!

Came in to the bar tonight! Was so excited you had AC, we sat down and said hi to the bartender, told her it felt so good in there and that they’re like the only bar in town with AC, her response was «uhh hu», really?! She then said «id’s?» We handed her our id’s and she then handed them back and walked away with out asking what we’d like to drink, I asked if there was a drink menus or any specials her response was «nope.» No suggestions nothing, needless to say we left and went to outlaws it was ridiculously hot in there but the bartender was friendly suggested drinks and greeted us with a smile. Was highly disappointed, I’ve heard the foods good might come back to try the restaurant some day.

Waitress is ALWAYS polite! Breakfast MUCH better than evening meals (my opinion only) and I haven’t tried everything. I think the steaks and burgers should be charbroiled and not pan fried… But that’s me.

Cedar’s is usually fine with no problems. We just had breakfast there and the
entire plate was a disaster. One poached egg was broken and like rubber, I asked for super crisp bacon and it was super limp, and my toast, which I asked for dry, was slathered with butter. My husband’s scrambled eggs were full of egg shells.
We won’t be going back.

BEST BREAKFAST EVER!
i has an omelet with just cheese and bacon.
IT was a huge portion, so i couldnt eat the hashbrowns as i chose to eat my omelet exploding with bacon and cheese.
My hubby got a hamburger it was special that day and he said it was great as well.
Service was good, very friendly staff!
Would highly recommend!

Best breakfast in Ferndale. The waitresses are nice, attentive and helpful. You cannot beat the prices and the choices on the menu. It tends to get crowded after 9am or so, so we go earlier in the morning if at all possible.
