I ordered the two entrée dinner. The egg roll was one of the worst that I have ever eaten. Tightly rolled whole cabbage leaves inside and nothing else. It should be called a cabbage roll. I threw it in the trash. The shrimp egg foo young had one patty with 4 tough, tiny shrimp and was difficult to cut. The sweet/​sour chicken wasn’t bad. The pork fried rice had no vegetables, nothing but rice, soy sauce, and little bits of pork. For $ 9.65, I feel like it is not worth the price and I would definitely not ever return.
The photos provided here are false representation. The fried rice shown by the mystery (Jen) reviewer show the lunch special with sweet/​sour chicken and fried rice. The fried rice in (reality) has no bean sprouts, and no green onion in it. It is rice with soy sauce only.

Pretty decent chinese food. Cheap too. Not that greasy and wont make you sick.

Detroit, MI
Lunch specials are under $ 6 and include an egg roll. The sesame chicken is really good and not to sweet. The prep time is fast and there is usually parking available. China Star Express is located in the plaza with Jet’s Pizza and Kroger’s. There are a couple of tables here, but definitely a carryout spot.
