This experience is one that you will never forget and will want to return. We have been to this wonderful ranch many times and the artistry in which it was conceived will give you a love of the western life. It takes you back into the Cowboy era of livery stables, horse drawn carriages, chuck wagon food, and an evening of songs about the«Old West» of long ago. Our experience started with our trek up to the Red Mule Ranch at about 6:00. We were seated at long tables, at 6:30 we were served a great tri-tip steak, salad, beans, garlic bread, pie and cowboy coffee. The program started at 7:30. Each program is different… our first visit, they had The Old West Trio, a wonderful guitar singing trio, with great humor. Ron Scofield, owner of the CCF, is the MC and he strummed and sang songs of the lone cowboy on the prairie. Last, but not least, was a man who brought Mark Twain alive… in his poetic words, humor, and character. As we sat there, the outdoor sky gradually grew dark, the stars came out, and the lanterns on the tables gave a glow. It is a place to return and bring your friends… My husband and I totally recommend this place.

Fabulous venue and entertainers! My husband and I have been going for many years and it never disappoints. It is perhaps the only venue of its kind in all of California and a slice of what the Old West must have been like. It is a truly unique experience that everyone who is a fan of Western music and lore should not miss.
