I am so upset. My unit was broken into and mine was the the only one with lock cut in whole area. I did not have one of theyre special locks they sell. Also one of the walls to inside my unit is pulled open so someone could peer in and see everything I.own. Im paying this place to. keep my things safe and everything

Don’t waste your money or time with this poorly ran facility. Initially I was working with Public Storage in Federal Way with Cyndi who was awesome. The moving truck that came to drop my stuff off was too big and Cyndi called down to the Fife Public Storage to verify that the Fife location had Semi-Truck access and Rachael assured us that they did. When the Semi-Truck drove to the Fife site the driver couldn’t get the truck through the so-called semi access. Rachael left us to figure it out while she went to get her child off of the school bus while she was on the company clock. I had signed a contract and paid for my storage and once we realized that there was no way we were going to be able to get the Semi through I went back to the office once Rachael returned from picking up her kid and asked for my money back. I was charged for a day storage and administration fees. This site kept almost $ 24 of my money. I’m reporting them to the better business bureau. All of this took place within 30 min. Rachael assured us before we came to the site that they had semi-access. This location sucks and is very ghetto.

Don’t waste your time or money with this location. My entire row of storage units was tampered with a few months ago. Nothing was taken, but the lock on every unit was cut. I wrote it off as someone looking for their stuff. Big mistake. Yesterday, four months later, the block of units was broken into again, and this time the latches were pried off the plywood doors, making the unit unusable. The girl at the desk told me «its all out in the hallway, just take what is yours.» I asked if they were going to be switching me over to one of the vacant units about 20 feet away, and I was told«no, if you want a second unit, you have to pay for it.» I reminded her this was the second time in four months this had happened, and right now, I had an unusable unit. Nope. Still had to pay. I pulled all my stuff out last night. And while I was there ten minutes before closing(two and a half hours after I was notified), she was calling other renters telling them the break in happened«just a few minutes ago» with a reminder she would be leaving at 6.

Beware of the sucker intro rate — ie initially they are reasonable — but then they raise your rent. This place also hits you with excessive late fees. These are corporate stores — so go easy on the lady who works here — she is a lovely person — however, her district manager is a jerk.

Bottom line: hidden fees, poor security, and uncaring staff. We had our property stolen, and it doesn’t matter what lock you use, because the thieves cut straight through their storage unit bolt latches. 1. They did not tell us about«mandatory insurance» until we were halfway through the paperwork. Extra $ 10.00 a month. 2. They kept trying to upsell us on our lock by telling us people would hammer off the consumer locks — this gave us a bad impression of the place’s security to begin with(why are people waltzing in and hammering off locks, right?) 3. Two weeks later, our storage unit was broken in to along with several others in our hallway, and the two other hallways nearby. Huge robbery. 4. The person in charge told us all the units who bought their locks seemed fine. What a jackass! Bad time to upsell locks buddy. 5. Oh wait. He lied — units with their«special locks» did get broken into. In fact, they just cut straight through the bolt latch itself, not the lock. It doesn’t matter what lock you put on their units, someone can just cut the latch. Great. Go somewhere else for your storage needs. This place needs to go bankrupt.
