I pass by this place every weekend on the way down to the beach. Finally, I was able to go in and see what all the fuss was about. Boy am I glad I did! The food: Children’s Hamburger: 4/5, the beef patty could have been thicker but it was cooked well. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, and everything worked together really well! Great hamburger. Beef Taco: 4/5, the beef was tasty and cooked sooooo well. The pico de gallo was fresh and flavorful. The taco was small yet filling. Sweet Potato Fries: 5/5, probably some of the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. The were just crisp enough on the outside but soft on the inside. EATTHEMWITHTHERANCH. The ranch really brings out their flavor. Overall, this place is amazing! The food is good and the employees are helpful. Great place!

I was out exploring in the area. Decided to try this place since I love charbroiled burgers. I had the double cheese with everything. Loved the char on the burger. The fries were near perfect for me, Crispy outside. Brewed iced tea. It really worked for me. I want to go back and try their pastrami!

I love the gyro sandwich on pita bread with crispy sweet potato fries and fresh tzatziki. My husband enjoys the generous gyro Greek salad. The menu is very extensive including an inexpensive but huge breakfast menu. The hamburgers are juicy and the french fries are always crispy. We have been eating here for years and we have never been disappointed. It’s locally family owned and the food is always freshly prepared.

Good is good. Wide selection from Mexican, American, and Mediterranean. Great place to eat and will definitely come back.

$ 21 for 2 to go orders. The fish was extremely greasy. The gave me instant rice. No condiments, no napkins. The sandwich was poorly made. It was a waste of my money. I don’t really like taco bell but, I should have gotten then at least the food has a little more flavor.

The people here are quite friendly! My wife and I love to cook, so when we go out to eat service is one of the most important factors. Would return here again just for the service. The food! I can easily say each time we pass through Fillmore this will be our go-to spot. While eating the wife and I realized we will probably be driving TO Fillmore just to come back to Yanni’s. The gyro was spot on. One of my favorite lunch items and they did it justice. I ordered a side of bacon and ignored it because the gyro was so good. Looking forward to the next visit.

For a fast food place these guys are great. To start their menu is huge. There is a wide variety from American to Greek dishes. I was on my way home from Oxnard back to the A.V. And happened to stumble upon this little joint. It has a clean nice atmosphere. Good customer service. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki which was truly refreshing and wonderful. From the warm pita and tender chicken, diced tomatoes and red onion to the creamy cucumber sauce to top it off was completely deli ou and satisfying. The fries that accompanied the Souvlaki were good as well crispy and fresh plus they have no problem when you ask for ranch which is a usual for me. I would recommend this little shop and can’t wait to visit to try other things on their menu.

Have driven by this place many times throughout the years and we finally stopped in. Good thing we did as this is the only place that serves good food in Fillmore. The menu is massive! Breakfast is thankfully served all day taming my picky eater, and has some good portions to share. The gyro was great and huge. Fries were delicious. Inside it’s cozy, workers are friendly, and the place is very clean.

I wouldn’t call this fast food in the traditional sense. Don’t expect to get the fastest meal. But you can tell they put great care into every meal. So I think it’s worth it, even if you’re just driving through Filmore. I had the Gyros so I can’t speak to the burgers.

I love this place! Everything I’ve had here is great and good portions to boot! There are neat specials that they have so you won’t get bored being a regular. Hercules burger? Outstanding! Fried zucchini? Bomb! The drive thru can be a little bit of a wait if they’re busy,(they even have a sign at the window), but it hasn’t been to long and it’s always been worth it! Enjoy an excellent, non-chain, dining adventure! ;)

You’ve seen it in the other reviews… this place is a surprise! Great, fresh food, fast service, and a menu that’s sure to please most people. I had the Gyro Platter with Greek Salad. I was totally expecting a small plate, but both were huge and made for an entire second meal for me. The meat was tender and moist, which is often not the case. The Greek Salad had all the trimmings: fantastic feta, plump olives and dressing on the side. I swapped out the regular fries for sweet potato fries. Also yummy!

Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Yanni’s yet. Fast food made right not necessarily fast, and they are the first to tell you that. But always worth the wait! Mexican/Mediterranean/American Medmexamean… from burgers to burritos to baklava. I’m a big fan of the lemon chicken soup, reminiscent of Daphne’s without the thick glutinous broth. So popular, they do run out at times. Juicy and large portions. Happy staff.

Pleasant surprise, good choice in this neck of the woods. Wanted to try the gyro, but at the last minute ordered the falafel sandwich. Pita was thick, soft warm. Falafel was tender, not greasy, flavorful, but a little dry. Came topped with fresh tomato, lettuce, a ton of sliced red onion, tziziki sauce. It was missing the tahini dressing Im used to on this. But, it was extremely fresh and satisfying. Also had the greek salad, which was topped with probabaly the best greek olives I have ever had, not kidding.(Watch out for the pits). Next time, I will try the gyro. The baklava looked really good, but 1.50 per piece was a bit expensive.

I order the Hercules burger every time. It’s got some lamb gyro meat in it, and feta cheese. Fantastic. Also like the Greek salad very much. I tried the piping-hot Avgolemeno soup last time– delicious! We are transplants from Queens, NY and brought a visiting Brooklyn friend to Yanni’s about a month ago and he couldn’t believe the quality of the gyro. The Greek dishes here are really good and don’t suffer in comparison to Astoria, NY, the Greek food capital of the US. I haven’t ordered the non-Greek items, and there are lots to choose from. When at Yanni’s, I’m happy to concentrate on the Greek flavors. The service is not so great. It’s friendly and fast, but they rarely bring everyone’s food at the same time, so it’s awkward. It seems we are always waiting for the last person in our party to be served.

I love coming to this place when I am traveling and passing through Fillmore. Excellent food and excellent service! No complaints at all. I ordered the Gyro sandwich combo and my mother got the Philly Cheese steak sandwich. Both were perfect! I also tried their strawberry shake which was good.

After a long weekend of camping on Santa Rosa Island, Schoolteacher and I were cooked like lobsters. After hiking all over the island, we were also quite sore. After eating nothing but pop tarts, granola bars and raman noodles, we were really looking forward to some non camping ‘real world’ food. Our first stop down the road was mysteriously closed, disheartened, we pulled into the Carl’s Jr. parking lot. Upon remembering that Carl’s Jr was more my thing, and less Schoolteacher’s thing, I decided to up the meal quality a teesny bit by pulling through Carl’s Jr’s lot into Yanni’s parking lot. I had visited the Yanni’s in Simi Valley while it was there, and really enjoyed that. When we walked in the ambiance was quite similar. 50’s music played on the speakers, and the smell of seared meat wafted into my nostrils. I looked at the specials sign, and Schoolteacher looked up at the menu above the registers. She gave me her order, and went off to the ladies room. I then repeated it out loud so I wouldn’t screw it up nor forget it. «I want the quarter pound burger combo.» Since there was nobody in line, and I was already at the counter, I quickly stepped up and ordered. I then went with the Hercules burger for myself. I had seen it on the special board, and it looked pretty good. I traded my debit card for a pair of cups and a plastic number. I took my number card and my pair of cups, and went over to an empty table. The place was pretty quiet as I walked over towards the fountain machine with the cups. There were just a few tables full. But everybody was eating. I returned to the table with the drinks about the time Schoolteacher did, and just shortly before the girl with our food did. Our burgers sorted out and placed in front of us, they looked great. The Hercules burger was impressive when placed down in front of me. It also smelled great. A half pound of meat, topped with additional gyro meat, topped with feta cheese, tzatziki sauce, and assorted crisp veggies. A large mound of french fries leaned haphazardly against the burger. It took me a little while to find a good point to attack the burger. With the fries and assorted meats protruding from beneath the buns, I gripped it with both hands. I opened my mouth, and took a big bite. The thing has Gyro spices in the burger! Holy Carp! Amazing! The burger was delicious, and massive. Even Schoolteacher said ‘This burger is as good as this place smells each time I’ve driven past it.’ Now that I notice it, it does smell pretty good along this stretch of the 126 freeway. Good place, good prices. Great Food. Next time this might be the primary dining spot, rather than the third choice because the others are closed and/or not date worthy.

I love me some Yanni’s! Thank god for Fillmore having this awesome stop or else I’d often be starved! Growing up in LA we had plenty of little pop up greek fast food restaurants. Since moving to VC I found that this idea had been missing and once found I am proud to say that Yannis does it for me!!! Service: 5 stars, always friendly and fast service. Order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. Happy to see the owner is almost always there working, shows the pride that he takes in this place which makes me want to support this business even more. Always clean inside and while I’ve never used their drive thru it’s worth mentioning for those In a rush. Price: average. For«fast food» I’m sure it could come off as a little steep. Usually it’s around $ 20 – 25 for two people, then again the food is great and portions are Large! Worth the money! $$$ Food: 5 stars gladly! Everything I’ve ever ordered from here has been amazing, not just good, amazing!!! For a fast food type of place they sure deliver a tasty meal. Recommendations: Bacon Cheeseburgers, Chili Cheese Fries, Fried Zucchini, and Gyros. Please give this place a try and support your local business :)

This place is a goldmine in the middle of Filmore. I would say it’s worth the drive out to Filmore even if you don’t have any business being there. Let’s get started on the review! Ordered the Hercules burger. There is a reason why it’s called the Hercules because the damn thing is so big you can use it as a spare tire! I literally needed two hands to contain that beast! I The beef is perfect because it grilled well and wasn’t too greasy. It was one of those burgers that was messy and I really didn’t care what I looked like while I was eating it! Sometimes a man has to do what a man has to do! My wife ordered the chicken kabobs with rice and pita bread. I love the Greek style kabobs because they are tender and full of flavor. The plate comes with a small side of yogurt that you can use to dip the chicken in or you can dip the pita in. The pita isn’t like the stuff you get at Middle Eastern groceries, it’s Greek style which takes it to a whole different level! It was enough for her to eat and take some home for lunch the next day. As it happened, another friend ordered a shawarma plate and I got to try that too. I have two words to describe it: a-mazing! Anyways, I’m already working on a guy trip back there so we can really dig into the items on the menu. I really want to go back for the breakfast!!!
