I feel like there’s something missing in my life and I don’t know if it’s a person, a puppy, or just a burrito from Taco Time. I’ll figure it out starting with a delicious burrito from Taco Time. Always fresh ingredients. Friendly employees. Never had a bad experience. Wish the fish baja tacos had bigger fish portions & would gladly pay more but the fish tacos are stuffed with fresh crunchy greens(cold slaw) that are pretty darn good. By the way don’t tell Taco Time in Lakewood I was here. Because that’s my original spot to grub on some serious crisp burritos & Mexi-fries.

The food is the same as any other taco time. It’s good. But the drive thru is always SO slow. Always. Even if there aren’t any other customers inside or out. I know the food is fresh but the employees don’t seem to be bustling in the slightest. Taco Bell is down the street. I’ll go there from now on just for the convenience. And I wrote this review while waiting for the order they are currently messing up.

If you’re in the mood for a quick burrito/Americanized Mexican food without feeling like poop afterwards, this is the place! I’ve only ever had the veggie soft taco and the veggie classic burrito, but it is always very flavorful, full, and tastes really fresh and not to mention a boat load of guacamole in the classic burrito! Definitely doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting under a heating lamp for hours on end. *cough* Taco Bell *cough* They are reasonably priced for fresh ingredients, however I always make sure to ask for light ice because 90% of their drinks are ice and I do believe that their tater tots are a bit over priced as well. I mean honestly, potatoes are the cheapest things in the world. But they are DELICIOUS. The only reason for the lack of a star is the absolutely absurd wait time in the drive thru every time I have come through here. Always takes about 10 – 15 minutes, but they DO make them fresh so it’s honestly so worth the wait. Customer service is always phenomenal. Always very professional and have a smile on their face even when I guarantee they are stressed out from all of the orders. Shout out to Julie who works at this location every time I come through. You deserve a raise. I love you Taco Time

I have been a customer of this Taco Time location since the 90’s. I used to love going to the location located off of Stevens on 6th Ave but they moved down the street and I am not a fan of their new spot or building. This particular Taco Time is located across from TCC and depending on what time you visit can get very crowded and the drive thru area can be a nightmare. That being said everything is made fresh and never sits around getting cold and soggy. The staff is always friendly and professional and gets your order right. I love the Tostada Salad and Crisp Chicken Burrito, their ranch is addicting and guacamole is so fresh. The food is a little pricey for the portion size but I am never disappointed with the quality. Keep up the good work Taco Time!

Longest wait ever… placed my order at 11:30 didn’t get my food until 11:45. wow! That is ridiculous and not one apology for the long wait. Pretty crappy service.

If nothing else, Taco Time should be remembered as the place where I discovered to put tater tots … er, «Mexi-Fries» together with salsa.

I actually read reviews prior to coming here and I am glad I did. If not, I would have been very disappointed. Honestly, it’s between 2 to 3 stars but let’s just say that if I could choose between Taco Bell and Taco Time, I would choose the former. It’s great that Taco Time is a local chain that uses quality ingredients but for the price and portion, it’s a no. I was actually still hungry after devouring their food. However, I would go back for their tater tots. I do like their customer service as well. Very nice, upbeat workers. Yay!

I gave them a 3 star simply due to location! They are so darn far for me to drive too. I wish there was one in Steilacoom, WA — I would be a more frequent visitor, but for now, generally I go on Sundays… food: 4 — always good; price: 4 — could be a bit cheaper; service: 3 — some folks don’t do a very good job of acknowledging customers; cleanliness 3.5 — floors need a good power scrub — they get greasy and become a bit slippery. Over all, I would go back again.(rating 1 = lowest, 5 = highest)

Taco Time is a fast food place don’t forget that but when it comes to fast food it actually has some pretty«fresh» meals and I know from experience that about 95% of the food is actually fresh, no fillers etc… My first job and only fast food job was Taco Time back in the early 90’s and the only thing that was sketchy was the fillers mix they added to the ground beef, everything else was fresh from a huge refrigerator in the store. I always loved there chicken soft tacos and also the veggie soft tacos and who can go wrong with a side of tater tots, I mean mexi fries! The sour cream ain’t that bad either:) This particular location tends to be pretty busy so don’t expect to be in and out… remember everything is pretty much made to order except the fried stuff so be patient. I tried the sweet potato mexi fries, UGH! No thank you!

Went there today for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised by the service I got. The guy in the drive thru, Steve I think he said his name was, was awesome from the start, as a greeting he announced his name and welcomed me to Taco Time in a theatrical manner which usually I’d find obnoxious but it seemed to suit him and it was fun. They had quite a few cars in the drive thru but moved the line quickly. I got my food and he thanked me by name! I shouldn’t be this excited about something like this but I am talking about a fast food restaurant, usually if you get a «thank you» or «have a nice day» is a lot. The food is far from authentic Mexican, big duh! there, but it is tasty and 100 times better than taco bell. Based on my experience today, I’ll continue going to this Taco Time for lunch and hope Steve(if that’s his name) gets a promotion he has great customer service skills and a sense of humour.

I am about to drop some phD level knowledge on your GED selves: taco time is the bomb and you just don’t understand it. I have never experienced a deep mental confusion sufficient to send me into a victoria’s secret to order steak tartare and a glass of cote du rhone. They don’t serve that there. My disappointment at their failure to serve quality steak is irrelevant to the store’s merits as a purveyor of women’s panties. Similarly, I don’t go to taco time expecting authentic Mexican food. Because I have long since grown past making that kind of rudimentary error. I was weaned off sesame street long ago, but before I was, I learned important lessons in discerning when one of these things is not like the other. Go here, order a crispy burrito, get the dipping hot sauce. Keep an idiosyncratic northwest tradition alive. Peace.

Lately I was having a craving for some Mexican food. Oddly enough I ended up at Taco Time. Like the last reviewer said, «this isn’t Mexican food.» He is right. So why I ended up there to cure my Mexican craving, I don’t know. I have been avoiding any and all fast food places recently simply because they are so bad for you, but I broke down and went here the other day. First off I tried to order a rather simple order and it ended up being quite a complicated process and I ended up with about twice as much food as I actually ordered. The order was very inaccurate and I actually believe everything I ordered was made incorrectly. It was all fairly tasty, FAR better than Taco Bell, but it still wasn’t a pleasant experience. I don’t think I’ll be going back to this one, I’ll actually try a Mexican place next time I get the craving.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t Mexican food. Taco Time was started in the NW during the 1960’s, a take on Mexican(which was exotic, like many ethnic foods at the time) — it’s fast food. It’s more like glorified wraps than ethnic food. Here’s why you go — other than your family went here when you were a kid: it’s made fresh on the spot and has a lot more quality ingredients than your average fast food. Where else could you get a solid vegetarian fast food option in the 70’s? The veggie«soft taco»($ 6) is a great no meat wrap and it comes in a whole wheat tortilla(but they recently took out the sunflower seeds — BOOOO!) So you can get a quick wrap(«soft tacos» have lettuce, tomato & sour cream dressing with your choice of filling, «burritos» are well, burritos — your filling wrapped in a tortilla) that tastes good, fresh, no fried stuff & you haven’t gone totally unhealthy. Uh, toxic? no. But this IS fast food — so there are fried things as well — crisp, standard tacos, crisp«burritos»($ 4 – 5) that are more like giant«taquitos»(kids love these) and«mexi-fries» — tater tots with seasoning salt. All you have to do is take one look at the«mexi-fries» to know you’re nowhere near the border. Bottom line: not really Mexican, a healthier choice for drive through fast food, pricier than most fast food, kids like it — a Northwest standby.(and if you go to Oregon Taco Times — they offer some very different stuff from the WA TTs)

This is my favorite«Mexican place up the street.» I don’t really consider it true Mexican food but it is pretty good. They use top notch ingredients and I find it really tasty. As a wee lad I remember it being a lot faster, but then again I am old enough to remember when fast food was fast. The only make your food when you order it so it usually comes out relatively quickly. I have no complaints about this restaurant. I go there often so I am a bit biased.
