The good. Team was great, careful, nice, clean, professional. Owner is personable/​dynamic personality.
The bad. Felt like we were being scammed on day of moves (twice). My BF and I used them for separate moves over a month time period. The first move: owner said he didn’t quote me enough not realizing I had so «much» — after I stressed over phone how «Much» I have and how «big» my furniture was (and I offered for him to stop in to assess himself or for me to send pics during quoting process). After a healthy debate, he honored the quote he gave me.
Move #2, he hit BF with «accidentally forgetting to calculate fuel charge for out of town move» and wanted another few hundred dollars the morning of the move. When BF refused to pay; things escalated. Owner, who previously waived a ‘change of date’ fee, then instigated it back and said… it was his legal right to keep the truck full of my BF’s belongings if «extra» wasn’t paid.
Bottom line: be careful with quotes provided and be prepared to defend not paying extras on day of move. If you respectfully stand up for yourself on what’s right, he will listen… but boy, it feels shady to have two moves with two «quoting mistakes» on the day of the move that result in him wanting more money.
