Coming from the west coast, Burritos and Beer is the closest reminder of the Mexican food I’m used to back home. While, yes, it’s set up like a Qdoba or Chipotle, expect different flavors which is for the better! You can’t go wrong with the jalapeño ranch — on everything. I can speak to the burritos and beer only(I stick close to the name as advertised) and they don’t disappoint. The burritos are chipotle-size and that’s good enough for a couple meals for me. The décor is authentic and the place is never too busy so you can always find a table. A win in my book!

Good tortas(not on the menu but available) and great chips! Some of the best homemade tortilla chips I have ever had!

Ug. I really wanted this to be a 4+ starer. We had been looking forward to trying this, and really it was fine… but I agree with a fellow Unilocaler, not much to set it aside from a Qdoba/Chipotle. Except the jalapeño ranch. Spicy Indiana girl heaven. Sadly, my tamales were cold. I’m sure they would’ve heated them up for me, as the staff was very friendly, but they were already topped with sour cream and all the fixins so I just powered through. Also, there is something weird up with the tables in the back. I don’t know if the bottoms are supposed to be anchored and aren’t or what, but every time I moved my leg or rested my foot on the base I tipped our whole table sideways. We almost lost our food multiple times. Thankfully, my husband and I both have cat like reflexes when it comes to food dropping on the floor. We never leave a man behind.

Wow! The chorizo is fantastic. The chips and salsa were delicious. Seems like it would be a cheapy place but the food is very good. The service was friendly and accommodating. Quick and cheap. There aren’t a ton of choices but what you get is so good.

Fast Mexican and it’s all homemade and absolutely delicious. If you haven’t been here I would make a special trip but if not you’re missing out! I don’t live up this way but I’m up here all the time so I’ll be going here probably pretty often! Also don’t forget to check the specials

This place is amazing. They do not skimp on the toppings or variety. Authentic Mexican food… Cilantro is an option at a topping. The meat is very flavorful and reasonably priced.

Excellent food and great friendly service. The whole family loves it! We have become regulars even though its a 20-minute drive. Nothing fancy, just good food at a good price. Beer is a little bit more $ than I like.

They should rename the place«Badass Burritos.» Wouldn’t even have to do much with the existing logo. But the beer selection didn’t do much for me. Some Sun King varieties and a few Mexican beers. Definitely not a focal point. The burrito meats all looked great. I had the carnitas burrito with black beans, pico, green salsa, and cilantro. I can’t say that the pork was heavily seasoned. I happen to prefer that with this type of meat. It was perfectly tender, though. The toppings were definitely on point. I’m a sucker for salsa verde, but it’s typically not amazing at the burrito joints. This place has a mild and a spicy version, but you only need to know about the spicy. It’s awesome! I also concur with the jalapeño ranch reviews. It’s pretty effing incredible. However, to eat a whole serving of it by yourself will undoubtedly cause some serious guilt. You’ve been warned.

Friendly, fresh, fast yet excellent value for true authentic Mexican food… Home made tortillas, and seams like everything else too! The steak, chicken and pork seasonings are outstanding! Go get some soon!

Burritos and Beer is really good, fast, home made Mexican food. A person would be silly to go to Taco Bell when this restaurant is right down the street.

I am deeply concerned by the fellow Unilocalers who commented about the«white salsa» served with the chips. It’s not white salsa. In fact, it’s not salsa. It’s jalapeño ranch. Nothing says ignorant white American than calling ranch white salsa. Really embarrassing for mankind, truly. PS, it is delicious. I ordered the steak quesadilla and it does appear that they have a lot of topping options(generic such as salsas, veggies, etc). I went straight classic with steak, grilled veggies and cheese so that I can compare against Chipotle. Chipotle is definitely a fresher product, but B&B was good and I would eat here in a pinch. The steak was the better option as my significant other ordered the carnitas as said they were bland. The business concept needs work as beer is definitely an afterthought here. And who names a restaurant Burritos and Beer? Could we not come up with a more creative option here?

Great burritos and tacos! The Al Pastor is a nice surprise for a burrito joint and it’s quite good.

Conflicted on this review. While the food was decent and a nicely-portioned bang for your buck, there’s nothing really special about this more-authentic-than-Chipotle joint. Also, be aware that you’re not allowed to use a Groupon amount towards beer, even though beer is in the restaurant name and this stipulation isn’t noted on the voucher. The staff here are really friendly though, going so far as to encourage us to use the entire coupon amount. The salsa and chips were worth the extra cost — salsa has a nice citrus flavor. Sometimes they have tamales on special. Beers include Mexican favorites such as Tecate, Pacifico, Dos Equis, along with a few from Sun King. The restaurant was clean and brightly lit with colorful furniture and funky décor. While the address is Fishers, it’s almost to Noblesville at 141st Street. This is an okay option if you’re looking to fill up quickly and avoid the big box burrito stores.

I live about a mile from Burritos & Beer and pass this place everyday but never paid any attention to it, despite my addiction to Mexican & Tex Mex food. All I can say is that I’ve been missing out! I didn’t realize this was a «fast food» Mexican food joint in the vein of Qdoba, Chipotle, and Moe’s, but comparing chains like those to Burritos & Beer is like comparing a McDonald’s Big Mac to a Workingman’s Tavern Cheeseburger!!! I ate here for the first time last night and had a chicken burrito; it was so good that I returned today to get tacos for lunch, and I can’t wait to go back for more! I travel around the country for a living, and have eaten at some of the«best» burrito and taco stands in the United States(including cities like Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, & Phoenix), and this place holds its own against the best! Everything is homemade(except for the tortillas) and very fresh. They have a variety of salsas, some of which have a nice kick that is hard to find in the Indianapolis area. In addition they have great refried beans(black beans are also available), as well as queso and an excellent jalapeño ranch dip for your chips. Their service is efficient and friendly and the price is more than fair for the quality of the food. The slogan on the window says«straight from mom’s kitchen,» which couldn’t be more true. If you are a fan of burritos and tacos, stop what you are doing right now and run to Burritos and Beer!

Wow! That was tasty! As stated before, this place is like QDoba and others, but definitely packs more of a kick. I had the chicken burrito bowl with white rice and black beans. A little on the spicier side, and super good. Hubby tried the beef and said it was great.(No ground beef here.) Chips(crispy) came with the meal and we got a side of the jalapeño ranch. Spicy and awesome! Staff very friendly and décor was fresh and updated. Only teeny tiny downside, iced tea was out of fountain and not brewed. I know… waaaah. Can’t wait to go back.

I was super, pleasantly surprised by this place. Came here with my parents and brother after a failed attempt to go to the new Thai place next door. I was happy, because I was in the mood for Mexican food — and this is not what I expected! It’s not a sit-down place, you order your food in a line like at Qdoba or Chipotle, but everything is fresh! I got a chicken quesadilla, but it was STACKED! Veggies, salsa, beans, and anything else I would have wanted inside. It was ridiculously tasty, like. so, so tasty. It came with this ranch-type sauce, so good! I also tried the nachos(awesome, I wanted to share them with friends over beers) and the tacos(the hard shells were bomb). I don’t know that I’ll be back any time soon, but I’d definitely suggest it. They still have kinks to work out, but they’ve got some tasty food.

Very good! With our table we had about all the different meats u can get. Steak, pork, chicken and chorizo. All of them were excellent. I think the chicken and pork were top fav. We had burritos and tacos. I got crunchy and they were perfect. The fry a flour tortilla so it is crunchy on the outside and a little soft on the center. All the toppings are super fresh and you can get anything on your item. Chips were prepared fresh right there on the line. Yum! We will be back!

Burritos & Beer has a very similar concept to Chipotle, Qdoba, Moe’s etc. The price is very comparable and the layout is virtually the same. The staff was relatively friendly and the restaurant was clean from what I can tell. The food, however, was lackluster. I ordered a chicken burrito and was relatively disappointed. The rice, beans, and salsa was alright, but all of the other ingredients failed to stand out. The tortilla tasted like it was from the grocery store. The chicken was probably the most disappointing part. Even though I came in during their lunch hour at about 12:15, the meat was very dry and salty and tasted like it had been sitting out for a few hours. It didn’t seem as though it had been marinated either; it just tasted like a few spices were sprinkled on it. I had guacamole added to my burrito and it tasted like it had come from a jar rather than being made fresh. The shredded cheese wasn’t very good either. Cheese shredded from a block is light and airy, but this cheese tasted like it had been in a bag for a while. I did like that they cooked the burrito on the flat stove top after rolling it. If they can improve their ingredients, I think this place has potential. Unfortunately, until that happens, I don’t think I’ll be visiting again.
