Would give less if I could. AVOID location– especially Kurt (Kirk?). What a rude excuse for an employee.

Passport person is totally incompetent and asked for a birth certificate for proof of ID when passport website clearly states that you can use a previously issued passport. Needlessly turned us away wasted 2 hours on her incompetence. thankyou

Horrible, rude service. Getting my mail is hit or miss. Business overnight mail, forget it, go to Fedex.

Always crowded, always a low geriatric patrons… staff behind the counter you find it test Leslie at 1 p.m. in the afternoon that the United States Post Office has no stamped envelopes to sell you not large not small they have none in the building and they send you to the CAstleton Bash Street location with equally terrible service

Are you considering using USPS-​Fishers for your passport needs? Suggestion: Take your photo at nearby FedEx or other location that provides professional photo services.
My husband and I called USPS-​fishers and asked about passport renewal. They were nice enough and didn’t require that we have an appointment. The line was long (over an hour wait), but the employee took good care with each customer.
Our problem (which is huge as far as receiving timely and no questions asked by Customs’ personnel): our photos, taken by USPS EMPLOYEE at this post office, were so dark we couldn’t see our eyes. My husband and I both thought that the photos were too dark especially for use as passport pictures, but after the long wait we were not in defend yourself mode, nor really cognizant of the need to question these professionals. We paid for 4 professional photos-​two were sent with application and other copies given to us. Once we returned home, we sought better lighting and concluded that photos are of poor quality. We compared the photos to our kid’s passport photos which were taken a few years ago at Westfield post office and allow for easy verification/​identification.
As we weighted our options, we figured our only option was to wait for the pictures/​application to be rejected, go back to post office, retake photos, and amend application. If your have ever had a passport, then you know the wait for a passport is not a short process. Now we may have added time because of USPS. Worst-​the application is accepted by another (lax employee) and we find ourselves questions every time we use the passports.
Or maybe we could just return to post office and ask them to retake photos now since the quality of the pictures is awful by any standard. Surely they will understand our concerns regarding the added time if the photos are rejected. Or even if not rejected, these photos are the ones that we will be using not only to leave the USA but also to return to the states. This could definitely add travel issues. The PO will understand.
NOT! Their response was not that in their professional opinion the photos were sufficient, but instead we were told to wait for the rejection then return. They further stated that we were asking them to possibly waste $ 30 worth of photo paper and they might not be able to take better photos. They admitted that the photos were dark and you could not see my husband’s eyes at all. We shared that our normal work schedule is not conducive to a one hour wait at the post office.
Their refusal to retake the photos was not shocking. Unfortunately, it seems that for too many organizations good service is not high on their list. We were hopeful that because the photos were clearly of poor quality they would replace and give better photos directly to us. We were prepared to deal with amending our application without their support.
Is asking for decent service too much to ask? Is asking an organization to own up to their mistake too much to ask? Is asking a manager to be considerate of their customer’s schedule (time) too much to ask?
This is not the place for professional photos.

I have been here once and it was typical and as would expect. I am highly rating based on my need to call in and actually got a person who answered and offered great support and took their time to answer my questions.

Unfortunately, this is the PO for my town and let me tell you, it is a disgrace and makes the whole USPS look bad. The postal workers at this branch are extremely rude and lazy. No customer service skills whatsoever. They never smile and act like customers are annoying them. I brought a package in once to send that was taped, but I thought it may need one extra piece of tape, just to be sure. The lady said «No, we don’t provide tape.» I was only asking for one piece! The worst PO I have ever been to. I try to avoid this one. I will drive a little further and go to another branch, if necessary. If I could give this branch zero stars, I would!

I rarely go to the post office and when I do, I want to be in and out as quick as possible. No dilly dallying — just mail my stuff, please. Luckily I haven’t run into any issues at the post office in Fishers. Most of the staff are very friendly and efficient. I’ve only had a couple of encounters where I’ve had to raise an eyebrow and wonder what had happened to the person behind the counter to make them unpleasant. But, we’re all human and I’m sure they run into not-​so-​pleasant customers on a regular basis.
With the construction right beside them happening right now, it’s a bit of a mess trying to reach their building. Looking forward to when that hot mess is over.

This is a pretty good post office. The only problem I ever run into is that the line is usually pretty long and it’s going to take 10 minutes to get to the counter usually so it’s best to use the machines if at all possible to avoid the wait.

The Fishers Post Office is notoriously an insanely busy place! Even though I’ve had to wait in many a long line there, I’m giving the post office a 4-​star review because of the employees. They are always cheerful and helpful, despite the strain they are put under for having to wait on that many customers every day!
Every time I go in there, it seems that they make every effort they can to make the line move along efficiently. You can purchase stamps or send a package from an electronic kiosk, as well as a secondary retail counter, so that you don’t have to wait in the long main line. Several times that I’ve been there, an employee will come out into the lobby area and ask customers waiting in the long main line what they are there for and try to redirect them to a more efficient area for that service.
One employee in particular always seems to really go above and beyond. I haven’t seen her in there in a while, but think that her name is Roxanne — if you find her, you’re in good hands!
