So many things not on the menu aren’t available but the lamb vindaloo is some of the best in town. We love the naan as well. Service is always slow but we keep coming back for relaxed date night. Fried peppers so good too!

Great good! Love all the selections. That chili chicken though! Dang good! Restaurant began picking up around 1pm a bit quiet when we frost arrived at 12.

So good! Rich and delicious flavors. The mild chicken tikka masala had a small kick to it still, but not too spicy. Glad I found this gem and will be my go to for Indian cuisine. Got take out this time, but the restaurant looked quaint and nicely decorated. Definitely can’t judge a book by its cover on this one. Happy first time customer!

If you want to spend Saturday in a happy carb coma, this is definitely your place. Their buffet satisfies my north Indian food craving that crops up every once in a while. My goto dishes: Chicken 65, Tandoori chicken and chicken biryani — they call it dum biryani so I’d be curious to know if they really cook it over coals after sealing the vessel with dough — no matter, it hits the spot. Special mention to mango lassi — not part of the buffet but can be ordered separately. The mango lassi is a mango infused yogurt desert shake, and it tastes just as delicious as it sounds. I’d advise to get here at 11, even though the lunch buffet is till 2:30 — I’ve gotten there at 1 a couple of times, and the food has been cold. Not as big a fan of their meat curries, but that comes down to personal preference. They have the garden variety indian desserts, and also chaat which is a savory snack with chickpeas, potatoes and various chutneys. I’ve eaten their south indian food, however, in my experience, its rare to find good south indian food. In anycase, with the buffet, if you’re a fan of indian food, you’ll definitely find atleast a couple of dishes that’ll keep you coming back.

My first Indian food experience was here and I wish I’d started eating Indian earlier! We had an intern from India for the summer and she said this place was the best out of all the Indian places she’s tried. The butter chicken is incredible and the naan is just delightful. The linch buffet is great too. They even have carry out buffet! Mmmmm so good.

This restaurant delivers an excellent buffet. There were at least 10 options at the buffet and 3 or 4 dessert options. I went up twice and both times had different items on my plate. Delicious vegetarians options and the fried options were amazing — not greasy at all but crisp and melted in my mouth. The veg manchurian and chili chicken were the fried options and were fantastic. The veg korma was so addicting because it had such a rich flavor with slight tang. All at my table left with full bellies. Very nice workers too.

Best in the entire area, authentic and delicious. Paneer Pakora done just right, Chicken Tikka Masala right on the money. Sauce just right had it hot and perfecto. Staff is amazing and attentive. Any time in Indy this is the spot for sure, enjoy the real deal.

This used to be the best Indian restaurant in Indy with good variety of food in the buffet. Now, you know what to expect if you go to buffet as the menu doesn’t change much. We used to have lunch buffet every friday with our co-workers. Now this doesn’t interest anyone. If you are a vegetarian it’s NOT worth to go for Lunch buffet! Who will go to an Indian restaurant to eat Daal(Lentils) or potato curry or Mixed vegetable korma or chana? And this has become standard veg curries for a long time. The owner doesn’t put an effort to change the menu. Out of 8 members in the group 3 of us are vegetarians and don’t have interest in going to this restaurant anymore. So, others also decided not to go and join us to a different restaurant. Dosa is taken out of the buffet. Gobi Manchuria is greasy & pathetic. Rice Pongal is okay. Pakodi is okay. White rice Not good. Coming to curries Potato, Chole & Daal… No one likes to eat them and No one comes to a restaurant to eat them. I wish he could have made Vegatable Korma better, he dumps lots of cream in that curry so you will feel full very soon and you can’t eat much in the buffet. The cream washes out any spices and taste. Paneer curry is good… lots of cream is dumped into this also. Among the desserts Mango pudding is good. On my last visit, our group was so pissed off. We were about to start the buffet and Appetizers trays were empty, He said he will get it in 5 minutes. 10 minutes still no appetizer. So we asked him to bring Naan. It took 10 minutes for them to serve naan. We finally received Naan and appetizer at the same time. Vegeterian curries were horrible except the Paneer. If the owner is reading this review THINK! you already know the issues. Just Fix! them.

The paneer was chewy and bland. The masala had a chunk of a bark like piece in it and on 2 of the bites I was overwhelmed with a strong taste of something that was NOT paneer masala. I had to spit out a bite! The waiter didn’t understand my order so I don’t know if they did something to my food. I’m so use to Shalimer in Broad Ripple which excels in excellence. Everything from Shalimer has been perfect and delicious! But moved up north and have to find a new Indian restaurant. Unfortunately I won’t be returning here.

I just love the food at this place, the flavors and the quality of the dishes never disappoint. The thing I really love about their food is their ability to control the heat, if you order something spicy it will be spicy without the taste of the food suffering, in so many Indian restaurants the heat index is the same regardless of how you order it, here that is not the case, so if you do not like it really spicy do not order it spicy. The staff is friendly just slightly over stretched, hence the 4 star rating and not 5 stars. The wait staff is usually understaffed which results in drinks sitting on the table un-refilled, which is one of my pet peeves, sorry.

This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been too. I ordered palak paneer, chef surved palak paneer in malai kofta gravy and added palak paste mixed it. Which I wide say is what a pathetic way of making food. The servers were bunch of young indian grad student working part time there has no training of service industry, which is fine I don’t really expect a amazing service from Indian restaurants. But you have to have a full time trained chef u can’t afford to have some one not trained no xperience cooking food. I wasted my money but make sure none of my fends or ppl I know come here n get disappointed Bad experience stay away m sure u can find better Indian restaurant in ip

SUCH a bummer. When I first started working in Fishers, I visited this restaurant on a «get to know the area/lunch spots» lunch hour one day. I was thrilled. It wasn’t as good as my standard India Garden, but it was a good filler for Indian cravings during the week. Then I went back a few months later and noticed a few things were a little bland, but not bad, just maybe an off day. I went back again a month or so later, and EVERYTHING on the buffet was bland. It was like everything was spiced to perfection, then drowned out with cream or broth. A co-worker and I were taking another co-worker who had never tried Indian food on the last trip. We had to explain to her that THIS was not up to par. Really hope these guys can figure out what went wrong. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the buffet in the past and would love to put it back into my lunch outings rotation.

Craving Indian, particularly Dosa. Arrive for lunch and it’s buffet only. No menu. No Dosa. We wavered a second, but stayed. We were served water with no other offer of anything else. A single Naan cut into four wedges arrived. It was tender, chewy and crispy in all the right ways. I hate buffets. I just do. That didn’t help the situation, but I tried several things. One scoop of Chicken Biriyani yielded no chicken, but one bone and two rock hard almond shaped seeds that I didn’t recognize. I chewed carefully for the rest of my meal. The Chili Mushroom is freakin’ delicious. Nothing else was awesome. The buffet was completely lacking the usual suspects I love: samosa, bajhi, pakora, papadum, onion & mango chutney. The place is filthy and the service is basic. I see now another reviewer said their card was compromised here. It’s funny to read that because a strange guy appeared out of nowhere to take my card. He just seemed sketchy and I thought«he’s going to steal my credit card number.» I’ll let ya know how that goes.

Well. I have found my Fishers favorite, and anyone who knows me knows that this is a big deal since among my local lovin… I am a McAlisters Deli whore. BUT I will be forgoing McAlisters for a while to get some more one on one time with India Sizzling. I went for lunch which was perfect because there was a little corner booth where I could enjoy my lunch buffet and read quietly without any interruptions. There was EVERYTHING here. I mean, I couldn’t even try it all because there was so much. The rice was so fresh and delicious… not like that kind that tastes like its right out of some premade bag or something, and the staff. AHHHH a breath of fresh air. So attentive, friendly, and helpful. They were great at keeping me(the solo lunch diva) and the group of 8+ professionals all happy while still keeping hot food coming, and just being plain old great. Hands down, best Indian restaurant I’ve been to in a long time.

Had a less than ordinary experience in my last visit. Had gone with a good friend to specifically have their dosas. It was during dinner and we were in early(around 6:30 ish) and were told that dosas couldn’t be served since one key ingredient(sambar daal which is basically a spiced lentil soup) was over. This was very surprising since people were just starting to come in! So I figure that the simply resuse the sambar daal from their morning buffet and on this day there was little left over from the morning. So 1 star knocked off! We had veg manchurian as appetizer instead which was as expected. Then we ordered chole bhature which was quite terrible and the chole had too much cummin powder in it. Also the portion size of chole and bhature were both smaller than in any other Indian restaurant in town. 2 star knocked off! Finally we ordered chicken biryani! While the taste was good as usual, there were hardly any chicken pieces. I reckon not more than 5 small sized chicken pieces. Usually they have about double the number. 3 stars knocked off!!! Suffices to say I was very sad since the friend was visiting from out of town, and I said this was the best of Indy! Will I come back, yes(since this is still sadly the best of the worst in Indy)! But it will be less frequent for sure.

We were in the area so I used my trusty Unilocal app to locate some food. It didn’t disappoint. Came at dinner, so we missed the lunch buffet. We ordered some Naan, and Biryani. Oh, and my husband ordered Chicken Tikka Masala because he is fully obsessed with that dish. All of it was good had a nice spice to it. If I am in the area, I would definitely grab a bite again!

Straight up delicious! I’ll admit that I had lower expectations because India Sizzling is located in a strip mall in the suburbs. But I was attracted by the festive name and the generally good Unilocal reviews — definitely a good decision to give them a try. India Sizzling is kind of tucked away, off the main drag in a mini-mall that looks half vacant. Once inside, the décor is tasteful and modern, with warm colors and a «tented» ceiling. The menu is extensive with both the standard offerings and some more unusual things to pick from. Prices are very reasonable(almost everything under $ 15) and the portions are very large. My go-to at Indian places is vindaloo and I like it spicy. There’s nothing more disappointing than asking for«spicy» and getting something that isn’t. India Sizzling delivered a SIZZLING hot vindaloo(see what I did there?) with well balanced flavors and lots of delicious, tender chicken. My dining partner ordered a paneer dish with a korma sauce and pronounced it tasty as well. I mentioned that the menu has some more unusual offerings — we tried the Kashmiri naan which is stuffed with cherries, coconut and nuts. It wasn’t my choice and I was pretty skeptical but damn! That was amazing — just a little bit sweet and full of flavor. If naan came in loaves I would be tempted to eat whole loaves of this stuff. Why not 5 stars? Well, the service was pretty bad. They had one waiter for the whole place(and several guys standing around) and although he was hustling, it took a lot longer than it should have. That aside, I’m beholden to India Sizzling(it’s such a great name — I can’t stop saying it!) for some of the best Indian I’ve had anywhere. India Sizzling!

Nothing particularly standout. Food it good and the naan is toasty. I did the lunch buffet so this review is based on that although I expect the same quality for all their selections. The price is pretty low(8.99 for me) so that is nice. Kinda dark inside — I wasn’t a big fan but it was acceptable. May come back but I will look around a bit first.
