First-time here… came during lunch… it’s a typical hamburger/wing joint. The service was good and food came out fairly quickly. My cigar and shrimp cigars(like egg rolls) were quite tasty. Overall, good experience.

I’m actually kind of glad our previous lunch plans fell through! I was meeting my husband over here, and we decided on Sahm’s because of long lines at our other choice. I’ve always wanted to come here, but I keep forgetting about it. The first thing I noticed was how roomy and clean the space was! Normally, I don’t really think about that kind of thing, but the layout and the cleanliness was noticeable. We were seated at a table in the area outside the bar space. Our server, Ross, was on the ball! He was moving at lightning speed which is nice since the place had a lot of business lunch patrons(ourselves included). The menu had a lot of sandwich and pizza selections, and they also had a lower priced lunch menu that looks like it changes daily/weekly/etc. They also have«snack» specials in the afternoon and late nights so you can go hangout with friends or coworkers after work. It’s a good location near a ton of business parks. There’s also an outdoor patio area which is probably nice on nice days because the interior, while clean and roomy, is pretty dark just due to the paint scheme and carpet. There are also plenty of TVs around for the sports fan. I had the tenderloin(of course) and dill slaw. The tenderloin was good, on par with other central Indiana places I frequent. There was a selection of 20 side items! The dill slaw was obviously freshly made, but it could use some salt. My husband enjoyed his BLT& fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce. Ross even offered us sodas to go which was another plus! I hope to add this place to my lunch rotation and get-togethers with friends!

Great Flavors in unique menu items make every one Sahm’s locations WONDERFUL! Here at the bar and grill we went for«buglers» and fries… The spinach melt with turkey was VERY tasty! Spinach mix grilled with sliced applewood smoked bacon, tomatoes, alfalfa sprouts, cheddar and mozzarella on toasted wheat. The steak barbacoa was a little spicy but had very juicy meat! Steak barbacoa grilled, topped with chimichurri sauce, Carmelites onions, Munster, cilantro chipotle sauce, romaine on a toasted knot bun. Both very tasty! Different. Full of flavor!!! Sides were: dill coleslaw was ok. Could have had a little more flavor to it. Fries were good. Sweet potato fries were cooked well and good, but would have preferred with a little sea salt instead of powdered sugar. Caused them to become a bit too sweet after a few. Side salad of cranberry and poppy seed was definitely a winner!!! YumO. Kids cheeseburger was of good size and nicely cooked. Served with one size. Fruit bowl was pineapple and grapes. Service was very attentive most of the time. Got a tiny bit busy when we were finishing up and had to wait on the server for a few, so to get a to-go box. But probably our fault for not asking for it prior to our child being finished. Extremely clean! Plenty of tvs to watch sports. Overall. Very good!

Went here last night with cousin… IU game was on so quite busy. but customer service was awesome from the manager and waitress. We ordered a few of the 2.62 appetizer items that were simply amazing. soft beef taco. pepperoni bread stick. buffalo wings and OH my the potato skins were fabulous. .Not sure what type of oven they are cooked in that the skins were so different to me than other places. Work in Fishers so can’t wait to tell my co– workers just in case they haven’t tried any of these items. My all time favorite is the Buffalo chicken sandwich. You won’t be disappointed I promise!

I swear that I was not actually trying to visit yet another of the Sahm’s establishments tonight when I decided to head out for Fishers to see if I could find something new and a place where I could unwind. But, there it was. So, I went. By now, it’s pretty firmly established that I have a fondness for the Sahm’s family’s way of doing business that emphasizes comfortable customer service, quality food and affordable pricing. As I’ve visited nearly all of their establishments at this point(there’s a couple to go), I think I can safely say I have a strong preference for their more«sit down» restaurant style establishments, while I seem to find their bar & grill type places a little less satisfying with the exception of the newbie — Big Lug Canteen. This location, Sahm’s Bar & Grill, is located in a strip center across the street from the UA Galaxy and in the same parking lot as the McDonald’s on East 96th Street. It’s at the East end of the strip center, a solid location with accessible parking and appropriate curb cuts. You enter through a front glass door followed by another door into a facility that seems basically divided into third — 1) To the left, you have an area where live music is played and, as near as I could tell, all taller tables. The stage itself is not particularly accessible, but I can count on one hand the number of Central Indiana stages that are accessible, 2) In the center, you have a pretty awesome looking(but VERY inaccessible) bar area, and 3) To the right, you have a more traditional dining area with mostly booth/table combos — I thought this latter section was a bit weirdly designed because the widescreen televisions all require that you actually turn to watch them. This latter section was also the only one of three sections that is truly wheelchair friendly as the high-top tables are a definite«no» in the music section and the steps to the bar area would require acrobatics. Again, I don’t know too many bars that are actually accessible(Giordano’s actually has one!). This Sahm’s location recently underwent a three-week renovation that resulted in a new interior, 35HDTV’s, a pool table, an additional 1,500 square feet of space, new bathrooms, new dining room tables, a new lunch and dinner menu, and new audio and video equipment. They are 100% smoke-free. They feature a lot of the foods familiar to Sahm’s regulars and have a $ 2.62 menu from 3−6pm and 9pm — 2am basically consisting of sliders & snacks. They also offer daily meal specials and regular events. The restaurant is operated by a managing partner, though you can unquestionably see the Sahm’s influence. They have DJ Bingo on Wednesday nights and live music on Fridays. I ordered one of the specials, fish & chips, at $ 10.99 that also came with dill slaw. I, of course, ordered my usual unsweetened iced tea. At this point, I think it’s fair to say that I really have wrestled with this review — this is partly because I’ve grown quite fond of the Sahm’s family of restaurants and their staff, but also because I’m aware that my being in a wheelchair brings a uniqueness to the situation and I’m inevitably going to have some challenges that 95% of the customers won’t have. So, I’ve just got to be honest and say that one-star was dropped right away over accessibility. This kind of reminded me of when Shapiro’s went into the Fashion Mall. Of course, I understand that your usual bar & grill doesn’t get a ton of business wheeling in and you certainly can’t design around that but it’s disconcerting to look inside a restaurant and see basically 1⁄3 of the space that is inviting to me. The good news, and I absolutely believe this, is that I’m certain that if I’d been there to listen to live music that someone would have moved a shorter table into the music area — plus, you can pretty easily hear throughout the place. The food was good, though I didn’t care for the dill slaw — that was more a reflection of my taste than food quality. The fish was beer-battered and tasty — not the best I’ve ever had, but I would order it again. The fries? They pretty much have a pretty consistent approach in Sahm’s places — lightly browned/seasoned and sort of bordering on shoestring, but not quite. I seemed to arrive at the change of shift. Service started off a bit uneven — the hostess got me to a table and after a couple minutes came back and took my drink order. I waited a few minutes, but nobody showed up for the food order. The hostess, who obviously was paying attention(kudos!), came back and got the food order. In between, I’d had one server stop by to get the drink order after the hostess had gotten it. Then, after I had my food, a different server was on the scene. Once this server was on the scene? Things were spotless. She was friendly and hospitable. I even got an iced tea to go and lingered for a bit. If I could, 3 ½ would be it. I can’t. So, for now I’ll go 3-stars and note that most won’t have the access issue.

I have been to Sahms for many years at the 116 location. I stopped by the 96th street location and was treated very poorly, was overcharged by double for a lunch special, then yelled at by the bartender for saying something about it. I saw the same bartender belittle an elderly women on the same visit. I left a review and was reached out by Carl K. from Sahms offering me free food to remove my review. I didn’t accept his offer but did remove my review because of the time I had spent at the other location. Carl K. didn’t so much as reach out to me after I emailed him back so it does look like the staff’s attitude and food comes from upper management. The food has become canned and frozen, the servers treat you horrible, the place has become dirty, the prices have increased, and the pours look like they come from an AA sponsor. Like Kathi said, I wont be back anytime soon.

Met my mom for lunch here randomly during her last trip to Indy, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how creative the menu was. There was a diverse list of sandwiches, burgers, salads, and some entrees; along with a short list of specials for the day. The space is definitely a bar, but it’s not awkward being there during the day. I would stop by another time for a quick lunch in the future.

My husband and I were thrilled to finally find a great burger after over a year living in Fishers. I wish we’d come to Sahms sooner. There’s lots of other things on the menu I look forward to trying.

Awesome bar and great people. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The new remodel is incredible. They have flat screens everywhere and have live music on the weekends. The food is always fresh and great. Their chicken wings are the best.

Gotta love shams. It’s been my local watering hole for about 3 years. Great staff and great food. Love the remodel, and the music selection! Always a good time, if you’re looking for a good time, come over and join the fun.

Before the remodel, everything was great. Now, service & music is terrible, and you can no longer smoke. Only bar around that was nice & you could have a smoke with your beer… Won’t be going back. That’s a bummer too. Used to be our favorite restaurant.

The place looks great after the remodel! Servers are friendly and the food is delish. Pretty cool too that they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
