I went to the Fiskill Radioshack to get a battery for my cordless work phone. I had my boss text me the battery #. I showed it to Wain once he could pull himself away from his texting he got me the battery. End of story? No! He gave me the wrong battery! I had to drive all the way back there the next day, when I said how annoyed I was that h gave me the wrong battery instead of apologizing for his mistake he actually said“well maybe your friend typed it in wrong”! This sent me over the edge because she double check it. I said maybe you were so busy texting that YOU typed in the wrong number! When he went to the computer to show me that he ‘did it right’ he couldnt bring the number back up which prooved he typed it in wrong! Long story long he should’ve just apologized and corrected the situation but he didnt even apologize or anything! I still would like to complain further but doesnt really matter now since they ar going bankrupt! I guess the joke is on him!

I went in to buy an aux cable and the salesman was so helpful and so friendly. We had questions about other items we were thinking of buying and he went out of his way to give us information and offer advice. Great service! Update 3÷9÷14: Went back today to purchase a screen protector for my son’s phone which they were kind enough to install. Unfortunately there were some problems but they didn’t hesitate to make things right immediately so I’m very grateful and would not hesitate to recommend this store.

I’ve been purchasing at the Fishkill, NY Radio Shack for 10 years. I’ve always found the sales help courteous and helpful. Downright friendly. Since about 4 years ago I’ve had the worst shopping experience at this establishment. My last attempt at purchasing an something there was this: I waited for the salesman to finish with another customer. It took about 10 minutes or more. When it was my time, he ignored me and took a woman who just walked in. It’s the same rude salesman, an overweight bald man, who in the past would get an attitude when I wouldn’t purchase the extended warranty on the item I was buying. His response to my patronage was, «Here ya go!» And he practically threw the item at me. I used to purchase from this store almost on a monthly basis. No more. My advice is to go to the branch in the Poughkeepsie Mall. Radio Shack in Fishkill punishes you for your patronage.

I never have a great experience at Radioshack and the one I usually frequent is the one inside the Poughkeepsie Galleria. I can only attribute it to a last-ditch effort to not file for bankruptcy, but their primary concern is playing customer svc rep for individuals who have complains about their boost mobile, tmobile or spint phone carriers(aka companies that have horrific service around here because they barely have any towers). Anyway, when I have come into Radioshack with a specific request at the one in Poughkeepsie, I have often gotten helped, even if it’s with a delay or with someone who doesn’t really have a clue at first about what I’m talking about. So flash forward to early November 2010 when I stopped at the Radioshack in Fishkill after I picked up my cat’s special cat food at his vet(A Cat’s Place, in the same mall). 2 years ago, I had gone in the Poughkeepsie Radioshack and gotten one of those car adapter plugs that can get a variety of tips placed on it depending on the input on your device. When we came in, my boyfriend needed the same thing and had the unit with him. There was NOONE in here at the time, but they still looked a bit perturbed to actually do some work during their shift. So my boyfriend explained what he was looking for and the salesman kept cutting him off before he could finish his sentence telling him that he should look into buying a new unit OR go on sirius’s website OR buy something and take it back because basically, he was just incapable of helping us. I called his bluff — telling him that the Poughkeepsie Radioshack was very helpful and actually got me the cord that I needed, so not only did it exist, but they sold it. He basically brushed us off and probably wanted to go play angry birds on his phone but he really lived up to the type of nonchalant, incompetent attitude that I’m used to at Radioshack. I will never go to this location again!

I would very much like to thank our saleman for assisting me with some specialty battery purchases… you know, those itsy bitsy batteries! A small purchase but he was so patient and gracious! I had called one of those larger electronic stores only to be put on hold and later advised they would not commit as to whether the size I needed was in their vast inventory… Radio Shack to the rescue! THANX!
