Great Diner for a comfortable evening with family — food is very good — I have been there many times since

Seems like a really popular diner, rightly so. It was packed, but we didn’t wait long for service or our food. We got stuffed shrimp & a Reuben sandwich. Both were good. The Reuben came with Cole slaw & a pickle. My husband asked for bread to go with his [crab] stuffed shrimp — I was surprised that they had bread, and just how good it was. I would stop here next time we’re driving down 84.

I love the chocolate chip pancakes and tonight I had the buffalo chicken tenders best chicken tenders I ever had so if you love chicken tenders like I do you’ll fall in love real quick so it’s so obvious go here you won’t regret

Since we moved here recently we have hit this place four times. I got a take out turkey club w fries twice and it was delicious both times. Dining in the first time i got the baby kale salad and i was so impressed. Above diner quality and super fresh and yummy. Another visit i got the chipotle chicken sandwich and that was very good and filling. Service has been great each time and the price is a bit cheaper than ye olde westchester diners that i am used to. So glad i live close to an awesome diner!

Wow ! Where do we begin ! My family and I were on a road trip and stopped by. Excellent choice — service was nice, fast and food was amazing ! We got French toast supreme, eggs Benedict, gyro, and pancakes. Excellent filling food probably one of the best diners I’ve been too! They have a variety of selection in food. Syrup was served warm! Looked like all the entrees were done carefully with elegance !

My mother and I went for breakfast Thursday morning at the diner. The waitress was sweet and upon serving our food to us my French toast supreme was cold how awful is that especially since I was looking forward to having a great breakfast. I told the waitress and she offered to take the whipped cream off which did not even melt a drop and warm It up for me REALLY !!! I also asked her to tell the manager before she presented the check to us. At the register the young lady asked how our breakfast was and I told her what transpired at she told me sorry to hear that and they proceeded to let me leave without rectifying the situation which left a bad taste in my mouth !!!

So, so. Nothing special. The food was more like a formulated chain restaurant style than a homemade diner atyle. $ 60 for 4 people for breakfast. No coffee, no juice. According to the menu, the corned beef hash and eggs came with hollandaise. The waitress brought it without. When we asked, she said«oh, we don’t put it on there because people aren’t expecting it» … uh, ok. then why is it on the menu? The hollandaise was made from a mix anyway. I won’t be going back.

Stopped here for lunch on the way back from some business upstate. So it’s Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. I don’t have to tell you how busy it was. The line was out the door. This is a pro and a con. PRO. — Food must be good CON — 20 minute wait. Well we chose to wait and yes I was right food was good. Now remembered it was lunch so burger and a wrap. How can it go bad. Trust me in some places it can go badly, but not here. Food was excellent. So just before sitting down we got a call that there was an issue at home that we had to deal with but it was a three hour drive. I explained to the waitress that if possible could we get served quickly? I really didn’t think that we would with it being so busy, but miracles do happen and one happened today. Within minutes we were served and the check came shortly after. Thank you. When in the area I will return to this diner. Hope to see you there

The Red Line Diner is right near the hotel I’m staying in. How cool is that? They are open 24 hours and serve ginger ale. This place was under construction the last time I came to Fishkill. Its very homey with terrazzo floors and tall booths. There are so many different dishes on the menu, it takes a while to figure out what to eat. Well, more about that. I thought I was keeping to my non-dairy diet ordering the stir-fried vegetable dish, but I was surprised to find Rice-O-Roni(which was made with butter) at the bottom of the plate instead of steamed white rice and the teriyaki was like a soup-like flood over the vegetables. It was a familiar dish gone bad. The soup, matzo ball, was a cup size like you’d expect to get with a sandwich instead of a dinner size bowl which was weird. Also weird was that matzo ball which was just the size of maybe a golf ball and it’s texture, somewhere between grits and polenta, wasn’t right either. The broth was also too salty. So in summary, service was great, but the food really wasn’t.

Is it a diner or a restaurant? ??? LOL. Can’t find a simple greasy spoon anymore. Just want breakfast or lunch or dinner at a diner… NOT a damn restaurant… All diners seem to want a restaurant & as such their price are much higher then a lot would like to pay but w/o the quality…

The sweetest waitress made me the best chocolate shake I have had in a long time. I must acknowledge the craft and love you put into it. Thanks Gina B. Best waitress.

I ordered Southern Fried Chicken with Biscuits. It was two breaded chicken cutlets heaped on the plate with the biscuits and mashed potatoes and gravy. Are you kidding me? It was a mess. My son ordered Mac and Cheese, first he got a chicken pot pie and then they brought a bowl of cheese soup with macaroni in it. Awful.

This place was within walking distance from my hotel I figured I’d check it out! Really cool diner theme that I enjoyed. My entire experience was actually really good besides having to sit next to this group of loud young people who felt like cursing was necessary, often. I ordered the chicken club, which featured avocado, I was very excited about that! It was DELICIOUS. The fries came out crispy and it was just an overall good experience. I would totally come back here if I have to stay around this area in the future.

I come up to the Fishkill /Beacon area from NYC about 2 – 3 times per year. The Red Line Diner is always our first meal when we’re in the area. Always visiting later on a Friday night, we’ve been greeted warmly and seated promptly. The place is clean, friendly, and very welcoming. It’s also quite a large space, and the«red» theme is present throughout, with easy on the eyes décor and a very modern looking dining room. The food is quintessential diner fare, with the requisite huge menu, and ample choices. Can’t go wrong with a burger deluxe, or a soup, or a good sandwich. We’ve tried many different things here, and we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried. The Red Line Diner is also located across the street from a number of hotels, so it’s a great option for a meal for anybody who’s out of town and looking for something better than drive-thru or hotel breakfast. I keep coming back to the Red Line Diner, and I look forward to my next visit.

A comforting slice of Americana in what is fast becoming quite the bustle-y part of a relatively quiet town. It shouldn’t come as a surprise, but the Red Line Diner does a splendid job of upholding the time-honored tradition of your standard American Diner; open at all hours every day of the week, neon lights, an eclectic cast of characters as clientele, and a menu as thick as a telephone book(and sporting a wide array of listed cuisines) are some of the standards that you can expect at this joint. I will concede, this place is all bundled up in a nice package… almost more nice than it really needs to be… and the visual aesthetic pretty much lives up to it’s namesake(as far as the«red,» in Red Line Diner, is concerned); there really is a lot of red in here(not that it bothers this writer in the slightest, I actually happen to be quite fond of the color of passion). I’ve had the great opportunity to eat at this spot a number of times; aside from having some distant(but close) relative(s) domiciled in the immediate area, a number of some of my very good friends actually hail from this part of town(of course, I became friends with them either in Philly or NYC) prior to learning about this particular fact; whenever as serendipitous an occasion, of myself and these city friends being in the same stretch of small town America, transpired… after a few rounds on the town(and even after a wedding or two), it would be more likely than not that one could find our mötley crüe ending our night/beginning our morning at this spot. Though the(previously mentioned) tome-like menu sports a plethora of tasty sounding foodstuffs, yours truly has always stuck to ordering two things: the buffalo chicken tenders and a burger of some kind. The buffalo chicken tenders may very well be the best version of of the stuff that has ever touched the lips of yours truly; the buffalo sauce has a lot of peppery tang, isn’t too buttery, and has the right amount of heat to singe the taste buds while still being pleasantly edible. It doesn’t hurt that the tenders themselves are huge, and always crispy on the outside but moist and«tender» on the inside. As far as burgers are concerned, I’ve tasted a number of them(the«Kobe» beef burger and the Down Under burger make for pretty pictures), but the crown jewel would have to be the Smokehouse burger(sans cheese). The hickory BBQ sauce, the crispy fatty bacon, and the umami taste of the sauteed onions… and all this at a pricetag of under $ 8!!! God damn, almost has me convinced that I could permanently take up residence in this part of town. In any event, as fine a diner as could be had in this part of the world. Maybe I’ll venture a gander at some other parts of the menu during my next visit… I’ll just have to make extra room for another menu item(because I’m still ordering my tenders and my burger)!

So if you’re looking for your regular diner, this isn’t it. It’s more chain restauranty. All in all not bad, but not a «diner» they’ve tried really hard to make it fancy. Which in my opinion takes away from the diner part. Food is good, décor is cool, service is fine.

This is by far THEBESTDINERANYWHERE!!! The manager Mack is part of what makes this place so great. He is so welcoming and makes you feel special! From the minute we walk in, he’s there, checking on us thru our meal, never too busy even when they are packed! Thank You Mack! Soups are always incredible, I’ve had them all. The Red Velvet Cheesecake is too good not to have every time. My fav place for Eggs Benedict, it’s all about the hollandaise baby!!! Chicken & Shrimp Jambalaya is so good, Stuffed Shrimp, Ham & Fontina Panini, Kobe-Style Cheeseburger, Pot Roast… You see, I’ve eaten here A LOT! LOVETHISPLACE!

I was very disappointed with this takeout after reading reviews and having a hotel employee plug this restaurant at check-in. The celery from the wings was the best part of the meal. The buffalo wings were on the sweet side not hot or spicy. The chicken parmesan sandwich was a bit dry and came with fries(cost more too even though Ididn’t request fries). It was more of a panini than a sub. Overall I could have passed on this diner and this dining experience but they took the time to explain the bill when I requested.

I’m in town volunteering for the Jehovah’s Witness Warwick project. I ate here twice so far on my days off. Staff has been friendly and competent. The food has been great. Had the veggie quesadilla and that was good(and that’s coming from an unrepentant carnivore). Today I had pancakes with bacon and an egg on the side. The pancakes were bigger than I expected, I probably didn’t have to order the bacon, egg, or toast. Oh well. I guess I’ll skip dinner tonight. I wouldn’t hesitate to eat here next time I’m in town and I just might try a dinner before I leave! Enjoy!
