Renee Kowal, DMD

I’ve been coming to this practice in Fishkill for years. I live in NYC, and Dr. Stammer was my partner’s dentist before Dr. Kowal bought his practice. I come here for reasonably priced cleanings, and the odd filling. I’ve always been very pleased with the practice, and especially with the renovations Dr. Koval did to make the space really kind of lovely. Most recently, Dr. Kowal filled a tooth, also on short notice, and when the pain just did not resolve itself, she made time for me to come in on Monday. She thought I might need a root canal, and got me an appointment with the excellent endodontist Dr. Brunetti-​Pai in Wappingers the next day. She suggested we hold off on the root canal, and that Dr. Kowal pull the filling instead, and refill it with sedative filling, to see if we could calm the tooth down. Dr. Kowal found time at the end of the day to re –do the filling. Maybe I will still need a root canal, but not before we try this cheaper, less painful alternative. Very impressed with both doctors. The staff at both offices is also very good.
