The owner was very nice however the place is not well maintained. Our room «the loft» was dirty and full of cobwebs. The bed was uncomfortable and the linens were stained. The shower stall is small and the toilet is under the sloped ceiling making it difficult to use while standing. It was very disappointing.
We wish the owner well. The building needs a major cleaning and overhaul. We will not stay there again.

Would not recommend. The price wasn’t bad ($ 140 with tax) but the hallway and room smelled and the room was dirty. Won’t stay here again.

Sturbridge Country Inn,
You are not too shabby. Not too shabby, indeed. Yes, the room we were in (Number 5, for those taking notes) was similar to Clark and Ellen Griswold’s bedroom, but I liked it.
I liked the enormous shower/hot tub. I liked the warmth of the actual room we slept in. I loved the fireplace that was turned on with the ease of a dial on the wall.
The bed and pillows were comfy. The sheets were pristine and soft. The people that work here seem pretty laid back and cool.
The breakfast in the AM was nice for what it was (continental).
The prices were not bad either.
We shall return!
