The Salvation Army

Went to the register with a old pair of Adidas running shorts. They were marked $ 3.99 which was def over priced but, since they had a green half price ticket I’d grab them for $ 1.99. I went to the register and my ticket must have fell off– I told her the price and the color of the ticket. She then rudely told me I had to go to the back of the store to get them re-​ticketed. I went to the back and met with another lady who treated me like a thief. She said rudely «I’m not giving you a green ticket». At this point… I have money and can afford these shorts. But, it’s about the principle. So I said no thanks. Luckily, on the way out I found my $ 3.99 ticket on the ground where I was standing and told the lady at the front she could give the tag to the lady out back that thought I was a $ 2.00 thief. Salvation Army… Gods army? Ya right! Attitude problems… They got it!

I always do a fly-​by of the cookware for cast iron and vintage Pyrex.
Then blazers, then jeans for overalls for yahd work.
Can’t beat it.

I went here hoping to find cute summer dresses. They’re was mostly winter attire but I did manage to find an adorable dress for $ 6. I’ll be back to check their supply of summer clothes!

Found 3 mint condition dress shirts for the hubby (2 JCPenny brand/​Stafford + 1 Brooks Brother). Total=$ 5.50!!! gotta love half price wednesday! This store is clean, well organized, no complaints. Friendly customer service, too!

Clothes, clothes, clothes. Not a single used DVD or CD?! Wow, rare for a Salvation Army location to not have either of those to say the least.
If you’re a thrifty clothes shopper, guess this place would be great. For me… not my cup of tea.

I stop in here every so often just to check out their inventory. Sometimes I leave with nothing, sometimes I leave with armfulls that cost me $ 6 total.
You can find quality stuff, and you can find crap — it depends on the day.

I’d be ashamed to not shop here. The folks at the drop-​off donation center are superb & efficient, and the store has an extensive supply of clothing/​furniture/​home goods. Wednesdays are half off prices, with just a few exceptions… including furniture (I think)!

This store is a large one, and they have a great selection of clothes, handbags, shoes, housewares, and furniture. By great selection of clothes, I mean brand names, clothes in nice condition, good deals… definitely stop by here.
