If you’re looking for Maggies she is gone. The new restaurant, the Blue Heron, opened in August 2015. It is the worst – I had to give it a star in order to do this review. This is the 3rd restaurant for the new owner; apparently he never learned a lesson from his other places. The food was absolutely terrible, there was an eggshell in my dried out omelette The waitstaff was rude and completely inattentive – so much so that when we asked why both coffees were not refilled(she left so quickly we could not even ask for the other to be filled) she said that we should have said something when the first cup was refilled. This place is terrible. We have been coming to flagler beach since 1980. There was nothing here then, barely a place to get coffee. Now it is packed with people and many fine restaurants. This is not one of them, and we will never return. Sorry to see Maggie leave – we miss her delicious food, her coffee and her wonderful homemade bakery.

Great selections — bakery and lunch menu alike! The chocolate chip macaroon was perfect, the turkey rueben delightful. Good find.

Wow! What a cool little place, decorated like Germany and playing German music The potato frittata and the eggs florentine were wonderful and there were about 10 more things on the menu I want to come back and try If you are within a half hour drive of this place and you don’t come for breakfast it’s your loss! Great local find!!! I’ll be back for sure!

Fabulous breakfast spot. The food is fantastic! The crepes are spectacular. We were told that Maggie does all the baking! It is our understanding it gets really busy late morning. So glad we’re early risers. Very cozy! We plan to make this our regular breakfast place. Want to also try their lunch! Menu looked yummy!

A mixed bag. Baclava was the best I’ve ever had. Macaroons were so-so. Price was high.

This place is all heart! You feel it in the place, the staff, and the food! Go see this place if you can when you visit Flagler Beach. I came here for a friend’s birthday and talked to the nice lady who owns it. I can’t wait to visit the place again!

The reviewer from Daytona must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. My wife and I discovered Maggie’s back in August and we had the best breakfast ever before we left on our Mediterranean honeymoon cruise. To say our breakfast was better than anything we had traveling is an understatement. The ambiance on the water is beautiful and the old European style interior is very charming and quaint. The service was perfect and we felt welcomed like eating with family. The crepes are a specialty and are FANTASTIC! We returned just before Christmas and the place was packed. We got right in and again we were treated like family. The food was perfect, portion size was fine and all tasted fantastic! I highly recommend this place for anyone in the Flagler Beach/Palm Coast area of Florida. You will not be disappointed unless you try to come on a Monday or Tuesday because they are closed. Don’t listen to naysayers like the reviewer from Daytona.

Gave this place a try for beakfast. Started off with a pumpkin spice cappuccino that I really enjoyed. For breakfast I chose something off of their list of specials. For October they have German Oktoberfest inspired dishes. I went with two eggs over easy, potatoes and bratwurst. The meal also came with a croissant. Overall a good breakfast. My wife had crepes that she was very happy with. We also got some pastry to go that we were very good. In addition to the good food we had excellent service. Everybody in restaurant was very nice and friendly. You also have a get view of the ocean while eat. I look forward to going back to try something from their lunch menu.

We went with someone who raved about the place. I can’t really agree with it, it was an ok place. They were very busy, it too quite a while until our food arrived. The quality of the food was good but the portion was fairly small, I was still hungry after I ate it all. I got a black forest cake which was really decent, I would only give a four star for that. Not a place I loong to go back to unless it is the most convenient and nothing else is nearby. So so but not a turn off.

This place was lame, unless you like old ladies, tea and Victorian bric and brac. Had breakfast that was in need of a boost to the portions. Maggie’s boasts about its«homemade» food but my croissant was, without a doubt, from grocery store, and not a very good one. The scone tasted like a Bisquick biscuit with cranberries in it. Crapes were browned way too much, and two crapes to a plate? Give me a break! My home fries were cold and undercooked. I wanted one of the special baked egg dishes but I didn’t want mushrooms, they couldn’t accommodate since it was pre-made. On the menu it clearly stated that everything is homemade and we are taking our time to prepare your food… Blah Blah etc. Maybe it takes a long time to microwave pre-cooked eggs on low or something. If you are an uptight 60 year old+ lady with a fancy hat that like to eat overpriced quasi-euro-wannabe food swill go here, otherwise forget it.

Maggies is a great place to go for breakfast, coffee, cupcakes, crepes, and lunch too. My son loooooves their cupcakes, and he has had many a cupcake. It’s a very charming European café. Makes Flagler the quaint little town it is. The owners are very friendly. They do a once a month European dinner that requires reservations in advance. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays and opened Weds-Sun 7 – 2(i’m not positive on the closing time it may be 3…)
