Absolutely wonderful. First glass looked to be closed. We were first to arrive at 11am. Very friendly waitress. Brought tasters of soup. Menu appeared pricey at first. Portions were huge. Started by sharing duck taco which came with salad. Ordered bowl of chicken Posole soup which our waitress put in two cups for us to share. Did not order anything but a chocolate chip cookie to share for desert. No room for anything else. Everything was delicious and incredible. Totally mom and pop location.

Wow! The reviews did not lie. The fish and duck tacos were amazing. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. So fresh, tasty and seriously delicious. Mountains of food too. The staff are really friendly — they even did a special meal for my 18 month old which she loved — plain fish with a taco and salad and bean salad. The owner is just the best. She came over to see if we were ok several times and wait for it… she asked if I wanted her to put my daughter’s sippy cups and bib through the dishwasher. Wow! Now that is service — as we were traveling it was so helpful and I left wanting to go back again as soon as I could. Thank you for the tasty, healthy food, your kindness and warm welcome to Flagstaff!

TIP: Unilocal has the map wrong by 1.0 miles. Use a different map & the address. Look behind & above Babbits car sales. Wow! Food is exceptionally excellent! Really pleasant atmosphere inside. Lunch is $ 10 – 15 a plate, and more than worth it for the experience. I had the lamb stew with a dollop of goat cheese, she had the duck tacos. Lovely & great flavors. Good for conversation, light background music is not too loud.

Wasn’t sure about this place when we drove up and it looked like it would be empty as there were no windows and it was located behind a used car dealer shop(no one was at the two outdoor picnic tables either because it was rainy). I was completely wrong! It had a lovely atmosphere(music, art, flowers, bright table cloths, high ceilings), was packed, and the food was amazing! I had half of the portobello sandwich and half of a daily special soup that was unbelievable. The other three I was with also very much enjoyed it! And such friendly service. A must-stop when traveling through Flagstaff!

Fabulous food!!! Nice variety and generous portions. It’s a little difficult to find but certainly worth the hunt!!! It sits right behind a title company beside Babbitt Ford. We will eat here again the next time we pass through Flagstaff.

Cute little place just past downtown Flagstaff. Stopped in on my way to a doctor’s appointment. Good food. I think I need to clarify my order, as it was the most expensive lunch I’ve ever had in Flagstaff. Ordered a Tuna Salad Sandwich, but instead of a sandwich, make it a salad. Received my tuna salad, but they charged me for both a sandwich and a salad. so $ 18? Wish I had gotten both the sandwich and the salad. Good service, quick to get my bill, and refill on my coffee, wish I had the time for them to correct my bill for lunch. Nothing outstanding, but cute place with good food.

They have great food but my husband just brought back take out and the enchiladas literally look half eaten. Not okay. Aldo, the prices on the online menu are not accurate.

Perfect lunch spot on our way from Grand Canyon to Sedona. We wanted a healthy lunch and this was perfect! Orange ice tea was refreshing and delicious. My daughter and I loved the Orange Ginger salad with shrimp, the kids had perfectly grilled cheese quesadillas, and my husband enjoyed the flight of soups with the salad. Would definitely come here again!

It’s already been said but it’s worth repeating: Duck Tacos! My friend had a duck taco and a fish taco. She said the duck taco was definitely better than the fish. Also had the Brie, pear, and jalapeño quesadilla, so very good. Taking some petite desserts with us. We ate outside in the beautiful, warm sunshine. A very slight breeze kept the temperature just right. Our server, Andrew, was attentive and informative. FYI, there’s immediate parking to the right of the building but it’s small and only about three cars can fit. Go to the left of the building to find more parking. If it wasn’t for Unilocal, only the locals would know about this hidden gem.

Food — 5 Service — 5 Value — 5 My wife and I came here looking for a healthier meal since we’ve been travelling and our meals have probably not been the healthiest. The portions here are enormous for lunch — we probably just could have split the duck tacos for lunch. Instead we got the duck tacos, the ginger shrimp with orange salad(on their specials list) and then we split a bowl of the clam chowder. The duck tacos were moist and tender and quite filling. The salads were fresh and vibrant and I’d order the orange salad again(the other salad that came with the duck was good too though). The clam chowder had loads of ingredients in it and was great on a brisk January day in Flagstaff. The staff was kind enough to split the chowder into two cups for my wife and I since we had ordered just 1 bowl and were going to each drink half of it.

This has been the best food I’ve had in Flagstaff. I ordered the soup and salad combo for lunch. First off the almond and orange salad was excellent with the perfect amount of dressing. Now for the best part… The corn chowder was the most amazing thing I’ve had in a long time. I just want to order a gallon of it and have it all well long. Hats off to the chef! This will be a regular place on my list when I come up from Phoenix to visit family.

Ate here based on Unilocal reviews and excellent menu options — we were not disappointed! It was excellent! They have updated their menu from what it posted on Unilocal(see attached photos), but even with the few extra dollars we spent, we thought we still got a great deal. Had the half sandwich(club) and house salad. The club sandwich was fantastic! Best sandwich I’ve had in years(and I’m not actually a big turkey or ham fan) and the salad was also great. The ingredients are obviously high quality, which is the difference between 4 and 5 stars to me. I’ll definitely plan to come here again if in flagstaff… So many good sounding items to try. My fiancée had the Tuscan Mac and cheese and house salad(a special), which was also great. They are creative with their recipes, which I think makes the food much more appealing. The portions were adequate, but not large. We left satisfied but not full. There are however larger plates than we ordered on the menu, so you can choose according to your appetite.

The food was very tasty and fresh. The price was a little on the pricey side but worth it. My husband had a steak sandwich that was delicious. I had a turkey and ham club. It was huge but I finished it. I would definitely come back here for lunch.

I have heard about CDF for a while. My wife and I were out running errands and she suggested that we give it a try. First, thing that you should know is that the parking is difficult. That should not turn you off to giving the place a try. We were met at the door and seated immediately. This would not have happened in about 20 minutes as the place filled up with patrons very quickly for the lunch service. The place is in an old building behind Babbit’s used car lot. You will notice it by looking for the yellow sun shade. I had the tri-tip. It was great. The salad that came with it was equally wonderful and somewhat unique. It had smoked gouda in it and the lettuce was very crisp. Those who complained about the prices, must have eaten at another place or their big night out is a chain burger place. All-in-all my first experience was very positive. I will be back, although next time I will park out on the street. My Dodge Ram Diesel does not fit in their parking lot. LOL

CDF is definitely a hidden gem in Flagstaff worth checking out. I had a memorable lunch at CDF on a recent trip to Flag with my husband and another couple. We liked it from the moment we entered. It has a comfortable, colorful, laid back atmosphere and friendly staff. We were seated within a few minutes of walking in, and not only was our waiter attentive, but Nancy, the owner, came out to greet us personally as well. She was sweet as could be and her passion for her creative cuisine shined through in our short conversation. I went for the fish tacos and had no regrets at all — simply delicious!(Coincidental because«Simply Delicious» is the name of the catering company that is the parent company to this café). You cannot go wrong with the fish tacos… they tasted fresh and had a ton of flavor from the two salads they are served with. It’s a large portion and includes plenty of fish, slaw, beans, salad, avocado, etc… It was so great that I actually cleaned my plate! The others at the table also enjoyed their orders: Cod Cake, Muffaletta, and a combo of a fish taco and a duck taco.(Nancy encouraged us to be creative with our orders, so it wasn’t a problem to do half and half and even switch out the salads for a side Chipotle Caesar either); you’ve gotta love that! Thanks to my friends Jenn and Julie for telling me about Café Daily Fare, and also to all of the smart Unilocalers that reviewed it previously. If not for the recommendations, I never would have found this adorable café! Can’t wait to return next time I’m in the area!

Quick Look: This place is AMAZING!(enough said) In Depth Review: We found this place on Trip Adviser when we were traveling between Sedona and Las Vegas on a recent road trip(6÷30÷15). Thankful we did. This is the type of place that everyone wishes they had near their home, in their hometown, in their city. First of all, it’s slightly hidden off the beaten path, behind an auto dealership, in a historic old«ice house» building. Once you see the bright yellow canopy out front, you found a foodie honey hole. The charm factor is off the charts in this old space. Has a cute outside dining patio and the summer weather in Flagstaff is ideal. The inside is comfortable and has a great vibe. The staff is welcoming and friendly. We must have received 3 – 4 «hello’s» when we entered. Our server was friendly and attentive. I wish I could remember her name to give her a mention here. Sorry about that. Also note: we would receive 3 – 4 «thank you’s» and«good-bye’s» when we left. Staff seemed genuine and happy that we were there. We both ordered the orange spiced iced teas($ 1.50 each). They were delicious. For our lunch entrees we ordered the Veggie-Batta sandwich($ 8.50) and the Fish Tacos($ 9.25). The Veggie-Batta sandwich was MASSIVE(see pics). Every ingredient worked well and tasted delicious. One of the biggest and tastiest sandwiches I had ever seen for that price. It was inhaled rather quickly. The Fish Tacos were gourmet and on point. Not the traditional So-Cal style, cabbage piled high fish tacos that you might commonly find at other restaurants. They are fresh, wild caught Hawaiian red snapper chunks and folded inside a large tortilla. They are easy to eat w/o making a giant mess. They were also quickly inhaled. They were one of the tastiest fish tacos that I have ever had, honestly. Simply Delicious Catering and Café’ Daily Fare owner Nancy McCulla came over and introduced herself and asked how our meals were. It was a pleasant surprise to see the owner touch the tables of her guests. We chatted with her for a few minutes. I inquired about the unique and historical building. Nancy then grabbed a photo album and showed us the meticulous restoration project she underwent to get it to where it is today. We enjoyed the stories and her sharing those photos with us. Nice lady. In Summary: We will most certainly return the next time we pass through town(hopefully this fall). Flagstaff has a winner with this cute and charming little lunch spot. Makes me jealous that we do not have a place this tasty here in Las Vegas. It is w/o hesitation that I recommend Café’ Daily Fare. Bring an appetite, indulge. You will LOVE it.

We spotted this from the highway in an area in East Flagstaff you never saw before — we went to college there in the 70’s. The building used to be an ice house but they remodeled it to a funky, homey restaurant with local fare. The hubby had the curried deviled egg sandwich. I had the house salad with apple, feta, roasted pine nuts and a spectacular curried vinaigrette that was so subtle and fresh. It had a whole woodsy hipster vibe. Very lucky find.
