All three family members had eye exams here before we found a good, local shop. All three exams felt rushed and quite minimal. Then to purchase glasses felt like an exercise in confusion. The phrase bait and switch comes to mind. Very fast talkers and I ended up paying a lot for a rather cheap product. I do give kudos to the staff for making minimal repairs(i.e. bent bows, loose screws) quickly and adeptly. I think my issues are more with a corporate feel to the place… like people are told to confuse people so they spend more. That could be just me, but I won’t go back there.

Some times I break things. With my face. Eye Masters almost always has a line, but they also are usually able to get me what I need. The eye doctor’s office is a separate business from the front sales area. I suggest calling ahead for an appointment. I was given the wrong prescription once, but that was 9 – 10 years ago. They did replace my lenses for free when that happened. The other doctors have been nice. Not as amazing as my eye doctor in Boston, whom was in business for 40 years, but I would not expect a mall location to compare. At the front of the store sales people have given me great customer care, and have been pretty interesting. When I needed to get a pair of glasses made the same day, before flying out of the country, they only had the most expensive lenses available in my prescription. They gave me a big discount to make up the cost.

Stay away from Eyemasters. I went because they had all these inexpensive coupons in the paper… The eye doctor in the place was not friendly, and got my perscription completely wrong. I got a pair of glasses I could barely see through. So, I went back to try to get them adjusted. They then had me go for a follow-up eye exam, and the eye doctor completely changed the perscription. So, I got another pair, and could see even worse. By the time I was done, I spent 2 months barely able to see and finally went to Sam’s Club Eye Center who got it right the first time. Eyemasters stinks!
