Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores

As a frequent shopper at Joann’s, I usually go in prepared with list of patterns, the ad, and coupons. Simplicity patterns were on sale 5 for 5. I took my time picking the ones I wanted and proceed to the counter. The first pattern rings up regular price. The cashier tells me they are not on sale. I pull out phone and pull up the weekly ad. It says it clear as day 5 for 5. She asks for a code? There’s no code. I asked for a print copy of the ad, because I left mine at home. I’m sorry we don’t have any, can’t change the price. Seriously?! I had the ad in front of her face! I walked out.
I am now back the morning after waiting on them to open. I printed out the ad myself both list and picture to show them their own sales since no one knows what’s going on. Really ridiculous manager of this location.

I love coming to this Jo-​Ann. It’s so close to NAU’s campus too! As a college student in Greek Life, I buy my thread and needles as well as fabric from there all the time for stitched letters, interfacing, tie blankets, ribbons, and more. The workers are helpful and always ask if they can help me with finding anything. The only downside is that there is one male worker who has often been rude to me and complains about his job. Every other worker has been considerate and nice, though.

I love this store. Lots of ideas come mind just walking through the aisles.
I came here for white cotton fabric. I haven’t shopped for fabric in a long time so I was a bit surprised at the pricing. Still, I would come here to shop.

Jo-Ann’s seems like they have made improvements in many different areas. There are now many new employees whom seem to like there jobs and are helpful. Many of the employees know the basics of sewing and can help answer basic questions. The long lines seem to be moving faster. I’m sure the local employees have know control over this but it would be good to see more unique fabrics.

BEWARE… this store MISTREATS its employees and customers! Went to Jo-Ann’s to purchase a couple of items from my mailer and use my 25% off entire purchase coupon. When I went to check out, the line was ridiculously long. There were 25 plus transactions in front of me and only 1 cashier. The cashier, Lori kept telling us that there are only 2 employees in thye store, apologized for the wait and said she would get to us as soon as possible. She was working her beind off and doing the best that she could!
Meanwhile, customers kept coming up from the cutting counter yelling at Lori that they’ve been waiting 30 minutes and Lori said she has called for help. Another lady from the cutting counter came up and yelled at Lori that she was going to cut her own fabric. Lori said she could not do that and the lady yelled out expletives and then left. After 40 minutes I was finally able to purchase my items. I should have left! I definitely will not be back!
This was the WORST retail experience I have ever had! I am APPALLED at how Jo-​Ann treats their employees and customers! BAD, BAD, BAD all around!
