Normally for decent mini-golf we usually go to Sittlers but after passing this place a million times over the years we decided to stop in and try something different. (Now granted the one thing that is weird about this place is that I really don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody playing here. It doesn’t matter if you drive by on a Wednesday, Saturday, or on a Holiday weekend no one is ever there. Although it may help them if they actually put their hours on either their website, front door, or sign facing 222. Just saying open 7 days a week isn’t good enough. When are you actually open during those 7 days? 3am? 3pm?) When we get there, as already mentioned, no one is golfing and with no hours posted we are not even sure that they are open. As we go inside we are greeted and told we would be able to play and as we go outside the waterfalls, geyser, and overbearing loud music are turned on for us. The course itself is in good shape with the carpets being a little on the thin/fast side but overall it’s a fairly nice course that is not as challenging as Sittlers but it’s not some NJ boardwalk cakewalk either. When we were done we turned in our clubs and we saw what looked like a game room, the lights and all of the games were turned off, and they did have a small ice cream area but nothing looked compelling or interesting to make us want to stop Overall Genetti’s was OK. The price of $ 6.00 maybe is a dollar or so steep for the type of course you are playing but I guess it’s not out of line considering most course charge something similar on a weekend or after 5pm. It was interesting to stop once but I feel no real compelling reason to go back and in the future we will likely stick with other courses like Sittlers, Putt U or Bear Rock Junction.
